BTCC Generic Championship #306

Can we ever change our car? I didn't touch those colors, btw. I only submitted it after changing (trying to, anyway) the pattern.
 
Race starting in 20minutes guys. Hope you are ready for Midlands first win ;)
 
Wow!! Bee takes the lead on the final lap!!

I lost loads of time because it seemed i was still on soft tyres for the last stint. I didn't have that many soft tyres so they must have been really worn.
 
Damnit, I was leading at one point, and then my fuel pump goes.... when was the last time IRL a ferrari went out with fuel pump problems?? random guess 1976
 
May I say a great effort by us Midland guys. 5th and 7th after starting 10th and 16th.

Also, reading Text on a race has never been so exciting!

Is someone going to make one of those grovy excel tables to post here on GTP?

I could make one for the results if people want to see one. However, it'd need posting an updated one after each race. lol

Well, I think "disastrous" describes that race from my point of view. Nice to see my team-mate is competitive, giving me hopes for the future.

Yeah competitive until my fuel system went *BANG*
Sepang practise is looking good though.
 
I had an accident on my first run so I only actually got one run in during practice. 1.2 secs off your current fastest lap, Sting.

You only got 1 lap, damn that sucks, I think the game don't like Ferrari's much. :yuck:

If you want I could give you my settings, just say.

One more thing. I am doing some research into this. I could be here all night :lol:

(By the way, Ferrari won the title in 1976), I'm going forward from 1976 Brazilian Grand Prix.

EDIT!!! In the 1977 Argentine GP Niki Lauda's Ferrari retired on lap 20 with a FUEL SYSTEM problem. (No need to thank me, just don't ask me to go though to find 'the last time'...)
 
Smiles for Honda and Renault

After an exciting race, its Honda who came out on top with Davidson taking his maiden win by just 3 tenths of a second over Audet in the Renault, Davidson only managing to snatch the lead back on the final lap of the race, the second Renault of Hutchison rolled home in 3rd place 28 seconds off the leader.
MF1 had a brilliant race, after starting 14th and 19th, they came home in 5th and 7th. Charkaoui had a blistering race for Toyota coming from the back of the grid to finish 8th and Ramos in the Mclaren went from 16th to finish 4th.
Iceman in the second Mclaren came home 9th after starting 7th and Woodwiss finished 11th after starting 9th.
Dissapppointment for Aguris Ibrahimovich, finishing 14th after starting 3rd, and dissappointment for Williams' Butler after colliding with HEdberg on lap 4 dropping him from 7th to 14th and finishing 17th.
Both Ferraris went out, Beyens on lap 39 due to a fuel pump problem and Eightyeight on lap 6 after an accident.
Impulse also retired after a collision on lap 4 in his Toro Rosso.

all in all a good race with plenty of action and drama and on we go to Sepang.
 
From what i was reading, it wasn't the cars fuel system that failed. You retired while in the pits, so i guess its the fueling system that failed.
 
WOW, Neocrox put in a great time in his BMW Sauber for Sepang practise.
 
Now come on you didn't do that bad in quali on the gtp game.

You just need to make sure you have the right tyre ticked in race strategy. ;)
 
A couple of ironic notes to just make out:

Nathan Hedberg (Soyfu) has as one of his attributes "Spatial Awareness" yet he collided with his team mate Ashley Butler (Ashley).

And,

Carlo VanWijk (Neocrox) has as one of his attributes "Pole Sitter King" yet he crashed out of qualifying.

Pretty funny.
