Duncan denies hogging the news.


Following a comment earlier today from Jef Beyens that his teammate Duncan Hutchison has been hogging the news, Duncan felt he should set the record straight.

Well, I'm about to take part in the first V8 enduro at Sandown (guinea pig series). Nobody knows what to expect with pit stops or tyre wear. Unfortunately, Jules has decided to add an extra set of tyres after seeing how much wear everybody had after practice - too bad it doesn't affect the guinea pig series (it will affect the GTP series).

The new world ranking system is now up and running. This shows just how tough the competition is in the V8 Guinea Pig series:-

I'm #685
The field also contains #'s 684, 681, 678, and 677.
We are also racing against #'s 17, 25, and 86.
The lead developer, Jules, is a lowly #1129.

My regular update should be this time tomorrow.

Can Haswell Pull It Off?

Only 1 more race to go in the Formula 1 Championship, and there is a tense battle between drivers Blake Haswell and Yuuji Kawasie. Kawasie is in 1st with an impressive 75 points, with Blake Haswell close behind with 66. Haswell is 1 win away from winning the championship. If Kawasie finishes 8th position and Haswell gets first, a highly unlikely scenario, there will be a tie for 1st place in the championship. Kawasie has to finish outside of the top 10 and Haswell has to win the race to also take home the championship. This weeks last race wil be a good one for sure. We here at SPEED News wish both drivers, as well as the other competitors, good luck in this last race.

(which reminds me, we're ahead of Renault in the manufacturers championship now :D)
 
Crap, I was doing a stars-and-stripes helmet. But I was doing it on Appleworks 5, no KoolTools. :ouch: So that's out...could someone just make me something similar to Christian Klein's helmet? I'd go with Coulthard's, but I'm certainly no Scotsman.
