Interesting. In my public F1, only four people have no DNF's (I'm one of them).

They rank 1st, 3rd (me), 5th and 20th (this guy has 0 points...).

I hope I don't DNF anytime soon - second place in the championship chalked up his first DNF, and I finished 3rd, closing the P2-P3 gap to just 4 points :nervous:

man, a string of poles
just can't get the win

Hmm, you've caught me now, and on Poles, it's put you in P1 for Average Qualifying. I need rain!!! :indiff:

We're 5.1 a piece.

Edit: Anyone ever had a really wet season... like rain (of some sort) at least every second race?

I think this is my last season. As long as i dont have internet at home then i can't be active all time :(

So when i have internet then i will be back

Ok then Appie, I'm sorry to hear that but keep checking this thread when your net is back on. ;)

OK Bee, it's make or break time...nervous?

Actually, I think it's make (8 points a race) and break (Domingues's car) :P We'll see how it ends up but I don't see it happening...

Whoa, I totally owned that china race. 19th to 1st, read it and weep!

Well I made those 8 points, just a shame Bruno didn't stick to his side of the deal and finished 3rd...

:indiff: I hate being in these ugly red & white 'targets' :ouch:

Thank god I'll have a nice fast blue car next year... no association to a target what-so-ever :dopey: 👍

Heh. I got my first ever pole at Mondello Sprint in BTCC. I ended finishing first in Production for that race :D

edit: Gasp! That moved me to within 2 points of the Production leader! Woo!

@ Herman Chang: Well done on another Pole Position. I think you are now guaranteed the highest average pole count, unless I can bag a pole at Brazil and you qualify 4th or lower.

Congrats buddy - it was the only hope I had left of anything in this championship of actually winning - it was a great competition, lets continue our quali battles next season? :)

WTF... in pub. 2002 F1, my teammate takes himself out as I try to pass him... and my team co-op was ticked on my end.

Then another guy crashes into me, trying to overtake... he ends up in a great ball of fire :dopey:

Still, P22 -> P8 is brilliant (if not in points).
(P10 by lap 5, P7 by lap 12)

Hmmm quieted down a bit on the sign ups, concerning considering we are now at the final race..

Edit your signature then, Lee. You aren't at Monza anymore.

Looks like I'm going to be a 1 car team :(

That too.

Still no DNFs in pub. F1, and only 2 non-points finishes (both 8th places, by the way). Now at the Nurburgring (halfway point of season).

Results: 1 6 8 4 2 5 3 8 = 26 points.

BTCC: 3 R 4 9 3 3 3 4 1 = 78 points.

edit: Qualified P2 for Nurb. Guess "Pole Sitter King" really helps :D

I don’t want to tell you that’s a silly choice, but it’s a silly choice.

Toyota in Sixth Place Shocker

Toyota, having earned a fantastic sixth place in the Japanese Grand Prix are perplexed to how it has happened.
Said team boss Tsutomu Tomita "It is entirely unexpected. We did all we could to secure a retirement, but that b*****d Graham managed to finish the race."

Sensationally, Toyota have leaped two places up the team championship rosters. Now with both Midland and Red Bull F1 behind them, the next target in their sights is BMW Sauber. Whitcomb being th eonly points scorer in the team, Graham and Mason are getting dangerously close to a decent season finish.
"We'll see about that" said an enraged Tsutomu Tomita, when points were discussed.
Luke Mason will be leaving Toyota F1 for Season 6, to be replaced by Bram Machiels. Will this driver change be enough to change the fortune of the ailing team.
Danny Graham would like to wish long-time team mate and friend Luke Mason the best of luck with his new BMW team.

"We had a dismal period in general, splattered with short bursts ok mediocrity and occasional success"- Danny Graham

Driver Ratings For Season 5:

Part 1, Renault - Williams

Renault:
Bruno Domingues: Nothing more could really be asked of from the Portugese driver after wrapping up the drivers title and helping secure Renault the counstructors title. Remember, last year he was lucky to get a podium, this year, he's had 11 of them. 10/10

Jef Beyens:
Another quiet season spent in the shadows of a team mate, on a couple of occasions Jef has shined such as his superb win at Monaco and a second win at China. Has played the team role aswell letting Bruno control the race whilst Jef defends behind, netting 5 podiums in the process. 8/10

McLaren:
Herman Chang: Chang has stepped up his game this season with some great qualifying performances grabbing 6 poles thus far, his race pace may not be as good but none the less, he certainly deserves his Renault seat for next season. 9/10

Duncan Hutchison: Same story as Beyens, was in Chang's shadow for much of the first half of the season but has lately came on strong with 5 points finishes in a row. Some would say he has had his day, others might say he's just getting used to a complicated car. 8/10

Ferrari:
Lee Davidson: Once again Davidson has been at the front of the pack, but not at the front of the championship. Inconsistancy from both car and driver has been cause for a heartache of a championship. Probably his best chance too after netting 6 wins so far. 8/10

Jarrrett Allman: Grabbed his maiden win this season at Melbourne but has failed to copy that race pace ever since. Has struggled with faster drivers but has been consistant, only retireing from 2 races before Brazil. 7/10

Toyota:
Luke Mason: Has struggled throughout the season with a poor car, has managed 3 points finishes with 5th being his highest finish of the season but with the car lacking overall pace, it's no suprise he is leaving at the end of the season. 6/10

Dan Graham: Aswell as Mason, Graham has been hit with the team's lack of pace, first 5 races went well, including a podium finish at Sepang but as the season has gone on, Toyota have fallen further and further back, as shown in his results. 7/10

Williams:
Guillaume Dubois: Mr.Consistant this season having snatched the Season 4 title, he wont be winning the title this season but 3rd place is justified with some brilliant performances including 5 poiums in a row between Montreal and Hockenheim. 8/10

Tristan Lovett: Has been completely destroyed by his team mate, not one points finish so far is probably the main reason for his sacking at the end of the season. 1/10
