Well, just to be annoying (and/or fair), I'd like to invite Jamez to discuss his side of the story here regarding the latest events at the BATRacer forums here, since it's turning into a bit of a public lynching and a fair fight would be nice. :) Just because it seems weird to me that things went all to hell again and back in the last few hours/days or so.

There was no point in me staying.

Also, I didn't want to see all my hard work with both McLaren and Ferrari go to waste on players who can't keep up.

Bram was never a concern of mine. I had bad luck early on in the season, but as I soon demonstrated, when I managed to overcome that string of luck I was unbeatable.

My only real concern was how to beat myself (aka Rubens).

The Williams story was a ruse. A cover up, because I knew if Bram knew what I was doing he would sack me, simply because he couldn't handle that he gave me no pressure in the championship.

I can guarantee that one of my 2 accounts will no go on to win the championship, (unless somebody purposely tampers with it) . So it's a shame that whoever wins will claim the fame. I've done all the hard work, so enjoy the championship I just gave you.

Personally I think that whoever took over my Ferrari seat will win, only because this Ashish McLaren guy has no clue what he's doing. :rolleyes:

Thanks for the seasons at BATracer GTP. I'm sorry that I was such an arrogant arse, but that's just who I am. I like to make things interesting, because most of the time GTP got extremely boring.

Anyone up for teaming up in a backmarker team (I'm thinking Minardi if it stays open) in the current public F1 1986? I'll do it if anyone else is up for it. :)

Constructors is ours by 17 points, so good chances on both fronts.

I'd do an Aguri with you sometime, I just need to get my current ones out of the way.
 
Shock, horror, Mr. Greenwood only 10th in the BMW? Normally he's bloody unbeatable.

Now I'm into fourth in S13, and second GTPer :D This is EASILY the best finish to a season I've had.

And on another front, I WON A SECOND CHAMPIONSHIP IN TWO DAYS.

Ha-hah! Determined by the last race, Le Mans. I was outqualified badly by my main opponent(s, they were two from the same team), but by the first round of stops, I made it to P2 (one of them lost time in the second lap due to error, was caught with the GT and GTS for most of the race). We battled it out, always coming out of the pits in P1-P2. I had a better stop after 1/4s of the race, so we were battling with me leading now. We go on, go on, then his brakes give up, I'm free to lead - I win by over two minutes, my teammie in P3, and we take both championships.
 
You can have the GTP champ, I'll get it someday, when the car is more consistent.

But for now, another team-championship added to the list:

I lost out on the WDC by 2 points, after I DNF'ed on lap 3 of the penultimate race (And by the champion Ferrari - we both flew out!). Oh well, we were 2nd and 3rd, so we had the WCC sealed watertight.
 
New reason to o_O. Metar, do you start all your games around the same time or something? It feels like you're getting a lot of championships recently. 👍 Or maybe you're way better than me.

Right now I'm celebrating because I got OMFG TWO POLES in A1 and OMFG WITHIN STRIKING DISTANCE in LMES. Two good seasons waiting to happen, hopefully. :lol:
 
I'm in need of someone to watch my Games for me whilst i go away on holiday for the week. It will be from Saturday untill the following saturday.

I only have 3 games, a Le Mans, Champcar, and F1 2002. Bee is also looking for someone to do his games and he has like 7, so do mine for me!! :)

If you can help, let me know. :) Thank you.

I'd love to help out, but with the job I just got (burger-flipper), long school-hours and my own 10 seasons, it's just too much... :(

You hit the nail on the head there - when I came back from vacation, I just filled my four public slots within a day, plus midseasons and privys. My last public which didn't end is a V8 Supercars, which is longer - and I'm leading it by 100 points. Which isn't much for V8s...

EDIT: Isn't much, indeed. This is the current race:

After leading 5 laps or so, heading into the last lap... I DNF! Brakes failed on the last lap! :ouch:
And my rival finished 2nd, giving him a 50-points lead in the championship.

Hmm, how exactly did the lottery work again? Need to figure out how this season's team changes will work because a lot of people were midseasoners/etc. at top teams so there will be empty spots in a lot of places in addition to the people that get kicked out.

My exact question is, what was the priority on getting to choose seats? First come first served has always felt a bit unfair, and I was thinking of just dumping the whole grid or something, giving everyone a random number and having a structured order to picking cars; i.e. each person takes their turn depending on the random numbers drawn.

Only problem is that 1) if you're unlucky then you're stuck at low tier - although entries might be so low that it might just be middle tier, and 2) it might take a bit if everybody waits in turn (unless, I don't know, they submit a ballot of team choices so that once the numbers are drawn the teams are assigned instantly?).

Hopefully that made sense. :)

(Also, OMFG PODIUM. :D)
