So I'll be online tonight (around 21h or UK time 20h) for BF3 SQDM, hopefully Blitz187 will join, but we need two more guys.
I order to win we would really need to coordinate our classes.
I can be assault with primarily task to revive our squad, or what ever team wants me to be. I hope that we'll play 5 rounds and win them all :-), so we can get that assignment out of the way :-).

What exactly is wrong with getting the most amount of kills and the least amount of deaths in a team deathmatch? I could understand the rolleyes if I said I was playing conquest or rush but I wasn't, I played to the objective using everything available to me.

And what's the map with that big tower-crane that people can snipe off of?

It's nothing personal Boil, I think Mike hates the MAV, and he finds it very frustrating getting killed by it.
You posted about how you got a load of kills using MAV, and to Mike, that detracts from the realism that the game is trying to portray.
Obviously, what you achieved is good for your team, and your grin, but in a real life war situation; which is what Battlefield is trying to emulate on a console using sprites, how many times does a soldier die because a reconnaissance micro air vehicle flies straight into their chest?

Kudos to you, those things are hard to control at the best of times 👍 but......

I mean, you hear about grunts getting it from IED's they didn't defuse, or didn't see, or from an ambush of hostiles, but the TV news doesn't really talk about lots of soldiers losing their lives from the deadly MAV which they didn't see flying straight at them whilst being controlled by an enemy soldier stood still looking like he needs some more fibre in his diet on the other side of the tunnel just past the big dump truck.

At least, they don't show that on the BBC, maybe I should start watching Russia Today more often and educate myself......

I do sometimes ponder if VEXD is actually a world famous orator, masquerading as a guy who can singlehandedly change the folding roof on a miata. :lol: Well put guv'.

@boil though: At the end of the day, it's your copy of the game and you can play it how you like. That's not how I play it, but then I checked the pamphlets in the dust jacket and it didn't say anything about having to play it the way I think it
should be played.

Just played CQC on Sharqi Peninsula, my first in B2K, my team started with all the bases and 50 less tickets than the other, is that how this game starts or was that a glitch?

I had good session on Squad Deathmatch last night and I have decided I love that game mode.
Requires different tactics to normal Deathmatch, in one game everyone on my Squad had a positive K/D but we still only came second.

Anyone know why the game save data is locked ? my ps3 is acking up and its worrying me. anyone heard of plans to fix this ?

Are you referring to the fact that you can't get by a certain part? When I went back to play the game on the hardest difficulty I got stuck at the part right after you diffuse the bomb in the first "real" level. Every time I return to the surface the game locks up, returns to the main menu, and says that I had lost connection to EA servers.
 
No im reffering to the fact i cant backup my game save data in the XMB to a USB incase my ps3 dies so i dont lose my progress .

As for your save data - I also tried and failed to back it up. The only reason I can come up with is that multiplayer progress is held on the DICE servers, so there is in fact nothing to backup for that. As for singleplayer, it looks like it is indeed unable to be saved.

I would assume that all your stats/progress for multiplayer at least are saved on battlelog anyway. So worst case scenario is that you may have to do the single player again if you so desired.


Edit: Totally tree'd in all respects by MR. :lol:

I've only been mortar'd whilst I've been in control of a mortar. Rarely see them, tends to be a reactive thing. Good tactic though, one to think about. Particularly at Karkand with that big building overlooking one of the objectives where you inevitably get 3/4 up there.

Mish-mash of games tonight, joined up with Blitz and co at Wake Island and ze enemy had a chopper who was 43-0 and the constant barage of stingers did nothing. I smelt 🤬 so went and found something less 🤬

Did get a good run in a Havoc at Kharg. Very good pilot helped me get a tonne of points in a very short time. Though battlelog reckons I only got 4 kills, swear it was more. Got 4 vehicle destroyed though. Unlocking some very useful bits for it.

Edit: Also, also. Those weapon progress bars in the customise section never update, or sometimes they do (like my Scar) but is actually about 60 kills down from where Battlelog says it is.

Yeah that game was CRAP! I saw you left the match and me and theewar stayed... :lol: I'll let you know what happend though... He eventually got shot down mid-match... Only to return again towards the end on the last set of Mcoms. It was two guys working together with the same clan tag... end of the match he went 81-0..... Then we started the next match and and guess what.... Those same two guys switch over to our team so they can, yup you guessed it, take the chopper again and do the same thing but then for our team... :lol: I guess they really like choppers...

Yeap, all Multiplayer data are saved on Dice servers, this method goes from before bf2.
 
Tonight was one of those nights.

Where the imbeciles escaped from the asylum :irked:.

First match as Caspian I'm put on a slightly outnumbered team with a few wings, so ok. It starts solidly, but ever so gradually we get squeezed. Not helping was my entire squad waiting for choppers at deployment, shooting each other in the head and gooning around! Turns out wings can be idiots too. So quit that.

Damavand happened at some point where I tore up some people as a machine gunner in a tank and got killed by my comrade chopper pilot who thought it a good idea to fly into the tunnel. Clipped a truck and 'Bad Luck' to me.

Try again. Next I get put into Noshahr, all flags lost and outnumbered. I ride Engi in a chopper and at least unlock missiles and some other stuff. Everybody leaves next round.

Then I get to Caspian again, again in a 4 vs 8 scenario :mad:. Again, I try make a fist of it but everybody else on my team is put in the air doing loop the loops and being Blue Angels. At least take out the tanks you 🤬. So I singlehandedly try to manage until more people join, but you know what its like. Take one flag and the entire other team comes to hunt you down as they know where you are. Quit that at end of round.

Then I go to Kharg.....again on an outnumbered team 5 vs 9. I have no idea what my team was doing. I captured 8 flags alone. Nobody spawned on me, the gits. Then to top it all off, as I am 1 second away from my 9th flag, the servers kick me.

Time to watch some telly methinks.

Only mucking about and constantly focusing on kills and NOT the objective. I had one match of Rush where the other team won with big scores and I was on the opposing side with 2.000+ plus points while the next guy below me had a meer 900 and the rest even lower.... I was running around disarming Mcoms like a mad man trying to carry the team, but it was unsuccessful :( Don't understand whats going on at the moment... Quality of matches seems to be on the downfall right now...

Ahh thats good to know that the multiplayer progress is on there servers then , solves that issue thanks .

I don't have that problem, actually I have but I choose not to see it :sly:. To be honest, I don't care, I only need one teammate for help and that's it. Others will follow :-).
Yesterday, I played with only one teammate in the squad, and we managed to win almost every game. We were focused on the objective (more him then me), but I did my part, even as a recon (spotting for him, securing close respawn point to objective and going for close combat when he charged the MCOM).

Finally I have unlocked SOFLAM and finished the assignment, now If I could just find somebody for SQDM he,he,he,he,he
