I'll partner you in Squad rush if you want we need someone else too I should be getting My Mic today :tup

Great.

We have plenty of time to squad up :-), there is no rush, when we see each other online then we can squad up.

I don't have that problem, actually I have but I choose not to see it :sly:. To be honest, I don't care, I only need one teammate for help and that's it. Others will follow :-).
Yesterday, I played with only one teammate in the squad, and we managed to win almost every game. We were focused on the objective (more him then me), but I did my part, even as a recon (spotting for him, securing close respawn point to objective and going for close combat when he charged the MCOM).

Finally I have unlocked SOFLAM and finished the assignment, now If I could just find somebody for SQDM he,he,he,he,he

^ Its not that I have a problem with losing... But if I notice that the team is doing absolutely nothing at all to atleast try and win, then it does irritate me a tad bit... :D I think it was the Gulf of Oman or Sharqi map... Where the last Mcoms are across the bridge and one is in a warehouse. Mcom A is outside on a raised platform... They armed A and a member of our team was up there... Killed all the enemies, but I kept hearing the Mcom go off... So I rushed up there and see him standing next to the Mcom which is going off with him aiming a Javelin at a tank miles away instead of disarming... I mean COME ON!!! So when I get up there I see this and rush to disarm the Mcom... Then a few enemies make it up there again and blast me and the other guy before I could disarm... BOOM... bye bye Mcom... Could have been avoided so easily... :indiff:

Finally rediscovered my love for Wake. Such a great map!

And I still get that bug where I assign Q as 'throw grenade', but sometimes (which is the strange part) it throws the grenade and brings up the communication screen at the same time, freezing my mouse causing me to throw the grenade where ever I was aiming at the time.. And I get that despite assigning communications as a different key. Think I'm going to let EA know about this stupid problem. :irked:👎

I wasn't implying that you have a problem with losing, we all lose, and yes I understand what you're saying 👍

Oh my bad... I wasn't trying to imply you were saying that.. We're on the same page though :p

Had this at Kharg the other day, playing as RU. We had D, B and A captured and after getting killed, i took a jeep and flanked B when I saw A was being neutralised. So i ditch the jeep to avoid blowing my cover and run toward A, past the little hill and see two team mates running away from A whilst its still being neutralised! No tank to scare them away, it was just some guy hiding in rubble. I mean...

Sometimes all you can do is shrug :).

Well the more popular the game the more awful (and I really mean absolutely awful) players you can meet on the battlefield , who know absolutely nothing about game objectives, button layout (I think that is the only reason why sometimes it is so hard to get an ammo pack or revive) or just lack common sense.

On the plus side, I don't think I would be able to have 3.35 W/L and 2.67 K/D ratio without them. And my personal quest to achieve 500 SPM is getting step closer to success every game I play (498 at the moment). :)

p.s. I think I might have been wrong about CITV station in tanks. If you don't have it or the driver doesn't have it unlocked you won't be able to get into such vehicle as laser designator.

We need for more people to do squad rush tonight or any other game mode like Squad death match 👍

Tonights tale of woes.

Time to watch some telly methinks.

Pretty much the same for me tonight mate. I must have just missed you I think :banghead:, I was on just after nine.
Would have been alot different, not saying we are unbeatable together(actually winning or k/d ratio doesn't bother me) but at least for the most of the time we stick together as a team and play the objective.
It's as though the guys I was with tonight were lost lambs and only interested in their own thing.
Oh well with a bit of luck we'll be on together next time.

Cheers Shaun.

Got into a really good conquest game last night and was ruining on Siene until I was randomly disconnected from the server (still on PSN though).

Seems I'm getting the Mic tomorrow still who wants to team up with Dzidza and me for squad rush? Tonight

All this talk of failed games leads me to one point which is glaringly obvious.

This is a team game, requiring that we play together as a team.
Then when people are doing their own thing, it won't matter, as we will own them.
If we have objectives to take, and no-one else is taking them, it won't matter, because we'll have a team to do it.
Etc etc.

Shall I buy a mic and try to squad up with some of you?
Yes, I shall.
*off to amazon*
Before that, I'll just throw in my thoughts almost everytime I am getting killed, as I am the only one attacking the objectives.....
I see the opposition using the tank in Seine, and running behind it, in formation, covering their bax, and checking corners.....

Effective.....

I see the opposition holding an M-com at Caspian, and going through 70-odd of us, as they have all the available entrances to the point covered, and each knows their role....

Effective.....

I see our team running around, getting in tanx and running over AT mines, using choppers until they are taken out by a jet, using jets until they are taken out by a chopper, or using sniper rifles to try and get 4000m headshots.....

Ineffective.

I always think to myself how much more fun it would be to have an organised team, like we used to have in Tac-Ops on pc, years ago.

Back in the day, when there was a LAN coming up, the team would practice.
All roles would be decided based on individual skill levels and the map in question.
Each map would have a pre-determined strategy, and a failsafe or fall back strategy if we were still getting owned.
Everyone was in contact with each other, and could rely on the team mate being where they were supposed to be, doing what they were supposed to be doing.
You needed health? The health guy was near his spot or objective, or was flanking about, covering your ass and responding to your call.
Imagine what it would be like if you were almost dead in a firefight, but a quick call out on your mic would see a team mate come flying/driving in, just to drop a healthpack at your feet? Or some ammo?
Organisation and ultimate ownage would make this game so much fun, and we all dream of doing it, but the days pass by, and still we sign in, yet games of this kind of stature only really ever happen by chance, or in the vast minority, compared to all the 🤬 we normally get, just playing online.....

I would love to be organised and have a role, and have people relying on me for something, whatever it was.
Being effective in Battlefield, involves more than one of YOU.

Remember, even if you've never tried it yet: just practising a strategy for a given map is a lot of fun!

I'm off shopping.....

:irked:👍

Add me: 6-adam. I still need some more people to add on origin and battlelog to squad up together. Any other takers?

I know the game is still new but I haven't had a full squad of 4 all working together yet. It's only ever been me and one other person spawning on each other. I think the problem lays in the 4 man squads introduced to BF3 from BF2. In a random server, you will always get 1 or 2 people who don't spawn on the squad and with 4 man squads, that takes up 25-50% of your capabilities. With a 6 man squad in BF2, you still had a good unit to work with.

I wish timezones where not such a bollocks. :guilty:

Whenever I squad up with you or gundalini or waffles or recently Daniel, I immediately play better as I know I'm not trying to paper some other squad mates deficiencies.

Anyway, my next goal is to unlock to PDW-R in the next week or so and run with Support more. I just cannot find a weapon I like with them at the moment. The HMG have too much recoil for me, the UMP is too weak and the 870 lacks range.

Oh yea, I just remembered. I got blasted by a Recon guy carrying a RPG yesterday. How does that happen??

The PDW-R seems to be one of the weapons that always kills me. Can't wait to try it out and see what the fuss is about.

The M249 is my best weapon by about a 100 kills. If you can control the bursts, they are deadly. My accuracy isn't brilliant with it (13% compared to 18% against my best Rifle/Carbine, the Scar.), though I've always used them in COD and such.

The M249 comes with a bipod as standard. Use it whenever you can, it's great for lying down suppressing fire and it's so much easier to take down enemies. Though I don't tend to aim for the head so much with it, it doesn't work due to control difficulty, tend to aim for torso as by the end of the burst, I'm going to be firing somewhere near the head, and it'll probably be headshot that kills em.

You may find something like the Pecheneg easier to control as it's got a much lower rate of fire than the M249 (and other HMG) and isn't much higher than the Scar at 650.

Yeah the M249 is my favorite support weapon. I don't play support all that often but I checked my weapon stats and somehow it's near the top of list. I think it's currently 3rd behind the Scar and FAMAS which I have 500+ with each.

Do you guys mind if I add you on PSN? Im usually on until late at night/very early morning (the other night I called it quits at 0630), I have a mic, and Im sick of being paired with idiots all day every day.

I find weapon choice to be a personal thing. What someone recommends for you may not work for you. I'll use engineer as an example as that's what I mostly play.

As I unlocked different weapons I tried them. A-91 about 100 kills scar 140 odd. Then I unlocked the G36C and something clicked. Last time I checked it was at about 740 kills. I tried lots of attachment combinations but in the end settled for a simple scope and no barrel attachment. I'm not saying it's the best gun or will work for you but it seems to suit me fine.

Post not aimed at anyone in particular.

Edit: No problems Hollidog 👍. Add my gundalini one.

Cheers Shaun.

Ok, will do it a bit later in the arvo when I get a chance.

Finally got that pic from my 11000 point game up.

Me and Gaylord (a random) totally dominated these guys on Seine Crossing the other night. Thats probably my favorite map

I don't get why the G36 is so used, I HATE the thing! It seems like it's got so little range.

Weapon choice is personal

Yea, moreso with my playing style. I really try to play my role, but using stealth (for engi at least, for medic I obviously find people to assist). In a typical CQ round, I can easily get 4-5000points before awards, but be like 8-5 or 3-2. I really try to avoid enemies unless I have the upper hand; by taking weird routes and finding hidey-holes when capturing a flag. Makes me feel inadequate when looking at people's k:d stats, but it's a comfortable style of play for me and pretty effective.

So I need accurate short-medium range guns with good stopping power for when I do run into enemies or spot them running towards or away from me. I dig the A-91 as a result (foregrip + suppressor+red cross sight), and the FAMAS is ok with a holo and foregrip and heavy barrel, but the UMP feels too jumpy. I'll try the PKP though today. I've tasted my share of lead with that :grumpy:.

This is a good point - it is probably highly effective when used as intended. Laying fire with other weapons around. As I am usually Nigel Nobody amongst randoms, I have to rely on my own firepower to get by. I cant tell how good my accuracy is of late as I was shocking when I was starting with Rush :ouch:

Hollidog - amazing round! 11k! PSN is GTP_MikeRotch. I'm on most nights during the week.

I just went 10-6 in Conquest on Karkland, and destroyed 3 or 4 tanks while I was at it. C4 is awesome. Also, you can get twice the explosive power if you lay down 3 C4's on the buggy, whip out your ammo box, (which will replenish your C4) and lay down 3 more on the buggy, for a total of 6 C4's. It seems that I play my best when I'm playing as Support. I'm really happy now that I've found my notch.

I hear you mate. I've talked to many a person who says the same thing. I can't really explain why, but to me it just feels right.
You're absolutely correct about the range though. Often i'll see a guy out of it's range and i'll spot him to help teamates or try and move in closer for a shot depending on the scenario.
As Mike said I also try to play the role and as an engineer I try to focus on vehicles whether I'm in or out of them.

Holli nice round at Seine mate 👍.
Sqaud up with me anytime :sly:.

Cheers Shaun.

I love how engineers can fix Scout and Transport helis while they're flying. Took more than 5 rockets to a Little Bird over a minute or two and an engineer was repairing it the whole time!
I'll add you as well, Holli. Would be great with another kiwi to squad up with 👍
