Maps working for guys in the states?
Got out of work early and was just sitting down to play. Ring ring.
Toilets leaking in a guest room ( family owns a motel) turnabout itsbthe main line outside the back building. A 100 ft manual fed and retrieved power snake and I solved that problem. Now to check toilet. Yup backpressure blew the seal between the floor. Replace that and a bolt snapped while tightening it down ( shoulda used new one) so a trip to home depot for a new wax ring (again) and a set of bolts later get that all sorted. My 2 hours of free time before my daughter gets home from school is gone. Bring her to work cause she wants a powerade and a bag of tater sticks, only to have to fix a broken lamp and replace a smoke alarm. Grrrrrrrrr.
Really want to play but don't want the headache of not having it work. Dealt with enough poop already.


Soooo any US premium guys having problems still or is everything working now?

more than half way to 100 carbine kills thanks to ACW-R. Done for now.

The long range ability is beast.

What attachments are you using? I got the feeling if I take the ACW-R out on say Operation Firestorm I won't be able to hit a thing compared to my G53, used it on any of the larger maps yet? Then again I was still on iron sights.

Only thing I don't like is it's not in assault kit.
 
I'm still saving money in the long run with it do its still worth it. Annoying as hell tho. I have the pack on my system, loaded on my server and I can't play them yet???? ( I think, all showered up and making dinner now)
They better work tonight other wise I'm gonna nerd rage all over this internet place. Not really but come on. I never had an issue with add on content in any of the cod games, bfbc2 or anything else ( gt5 initial doc fiasco aside).
Its not like aftermatket content is new to EA. + lightbulb+ ahh I get it now........ EA.

Sorry for the rant ( or past couple) but I'm buttered by this. I have essentially invested ( by choice) 180$ for a game that is currently broken.again.

Watching the playing tips premium video. 10 minute video. First 5 is dice talking up how awesome this stuff is. Great playing tips.


Here's a run down

Ziba : movement is key, make big holes

Donya : proper squad play, use the stairs to, ummmm, get to the next floor

925: ahh shoot through everything, lots of cars in garage

Scrapmetal: very vertical, 2 floor design, control narrow passages and rooftop , positioning is key.....


Wow those are some protips right there

I noticed that while watching that Premium video to :D, Its more of an advertisement for Premium. he gives 2 tips that i could count.

1. camp on top of the swimming pool room, and kill people through the glass.

2. use your 'RPG' to drop rubble on to people, Wich we all know about and can be done on pretty much every map really.

Unlocked 1st line of guns and i'd say everyone so far is above average.

If you look at the BF3 Premium trailer it actually looks like there are six, but two are the US/RU versions of the same thing.

Skip to 1:00 in this video, full screen 1080p: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tCc1VgSMd4 and that spinny thing with vehicle outlines shows a Stryker LAV, US and Russian MLRS rocket trucks, the AC-130, an ATV and a tank that I don't recognise, but I reckon it'll be the Russian equivalent to the Stryker by comparing the turret sizes; it's certainly not an MBT anyway.

Apparently the other vehicle unlocks carry over into other maps, meaning there are more unlocks for the default vehicles. That's quite interesting, I wonder what they'll be? I can't think of anything they could add beyond maybe rocket pods for the Little Bird, sounds like it would be overpowered but they could just reduce the number of rockets it can fire in one go compared to the jets and attack choppers. Maybe jets will get unguided bombs or something?

An on-going problem DICE/EA seem to have with BF3/DLC. it should be great when the other maps are released. A long shot, but even though the money is already in DICE/EA's pocket, perhaps they'll offer some form of compensation for those who aren't getting all of what they paid for. Then again, it's EA....who knows, it would be nice of them though.
 
A dog tag with a bottle of lube and an easports baseball bat on it are all I expect . oh, make it gold, cause you know, its a premium tag

So, the new maps. Are they only available for domination/ gunmaster. There is no rush or CQ option?

If that is confirmed (someone? ;)), then I'll be waiting for symthic to post some stats on the new weapons that are available and if they are not significantly better/ different then the current set or weapons available (eg. QBB95 is identical to RPK) then I'll probably be giving this DLC + Premium a skip :(

Domination is Conquest just faster flag captures thats all. its actually called Conquest domination.

other than Gungame and CQDOM there are a few tdm options but no rush.

Im loving the weapons though.

Looks like the 2S25 Sprut-SD to me, which is indeed one of the Russian equivalents to the Stryker MGS. It probably looks familiar to some because it is based on the chassis of the BMD-3.
 
Finished trying the first set of weapons out also. I feel like I'm missing something on the ACW-R and AUG in particular, once I get any sort of distance away from my targets I find the recoil bounces me straight off target compared to my usual G53/M16A3 respectively.

The L86A2 on the other hand feels fantastic, almost certainly going to become my Support weapon of choice. Feels very accurate and good stopping power, I used to swear by the M27 but I feel much more comfortable without the bipod on the L86 and subsequently more confident with the gun, bipod up it will tear through enemies as well.

I've also had an epiphany with the JNG 90, had a great game on Tehran with it where I was just firing away using the 7x from fairly short range for a sniper rifle and it did great. That being said I think it was more the 7x then the weapon doing the work, a straight pull and 7x combo on the gun could be great though but I might try the same set up more on my old M40 which felt good using the same attachments. I still need to find out the bullet speed on the JNG to see if it's worth using for real long range sniping, it's taking some adjustments to work out the bullet drop as I've not used another rifle back to back and I've not had much long range duties since getting the gun.
 
I'm tempted to get Premo but I'd only really get CQ for the Gun Master and Weapons. I'm only really looking forward to AK, Aftermath and End Game. Dinosaur Mode ftw :p

:lol: Well those 3 expansions will cost you $15 each so it's only $5 extra for premium and it includes CQ, the extra guns and modes so I'd say go for it.
 
I'm interested to see if people start getting banned from private servers for being Prem. I can totally see some jerk admin getting peeved at getting killed by a weapon he doesnt have and doing what admins do best....mess up the fun.

Also, seems to be a glitch with the smoke grenade on the AUG. Apparently it has ballistics of a AR bullet (according to symthic). Fix one glitch, create another.

That's what happens when a company like EA forces a good company like DICE to rush stuff out to meet their impossible due dates. If you notice, the stuff that takes longer to come out does fix the issues it says. However the stuff that obviously gets rushed (like premium coming out the same time as E3) has issues with it.
