All ten of the specialist assignments? Nice job! 👍

I have finished one. I just recently finished the F2000 one two days ago. I was not sure I would finish the F2k either. The F2k and I do not see eye to eye, at least did not until I started using the combination of Foregrip and Suppressor. Those two attachments made the weapon more effective. For whatever reason, the F2k and I just do not get along very well. I would guess it has to do with the F2k not really having an overall advantage over any other Assault weapon.

I have a difficult time sticking to one weapon in a class for more than about a day at a time. This is very likely why I just finished one of the Specialist Assignments recently. I am slowly working my way to finishing each Assignment though. I have portions of each completed or nearly completed.

Thanks, Im lucky really as all of the weapons used in the assignments im a fan of and have used quite a bit before hand with exception to the LSAT. I like to use loads of different weapons and have 16 weapons over a 1k kills, So its nice that these assignments just reward you for using different guns. I know people arent that excited by the assignments reward (camo's) but i just like them as they give me something to work on while playing the game.

You only just did the F2K one? My god, I did it the day the Close Quarters DLC came out.👍

Like I said, I rotate weapons very often. I should have said classes too. I also rotate classes very often. I use a weapon for maybe 50 kills before switching to something else. It is the main reason the most kills I have with one weapon is 500.

The only weapon I do not rotate is the M1911. Even that is not completely true because I was primarily using the suppressed version, then I switched to the plain one to unlock the M1911 dogtag. After doing that, I switched to the tactical version. That switch to the tactical version did not last long. I am back to the suppressed version and not likely to change that again any time soon.

I like to use various weapons too but  16 weapons with over 10 SSs? Holy crap, I don't even have one with over 10 service stars :nervous:

Something you guys should see. It looks like they removed the weapons for Aftermath and End Game.

List of server fixes for lazy peeps:

Gunship balance tweak in Rush mode
The Armored Kill gunship received major tweaks already in the last server update. We are now further tweaking it based on community feedback. It now only respawns after the attackers have destroyed an M-COM in Rush.

Rationale: The gunship has been a bit overpowered and spawning too fast in Rush, especially on servers running modified vehicle spawn times. This tweak makes the gunship only spawn for the attackers after each crate, except the initial spawn on round start. In effect, this means that after the gunship is destroyed, a new M-COM needs to be destroyed before the gunship can respawn at all.

Gunship balance tweak in Conquest mode
The gunship will always have a 60 second spawn delay in Conquest no matter the server spawn delay setting.

Rationale: The gunship has been spawning too fast on servers running modified vehicle spawn times, making it hard to regain control of the flag controlling the gunship. This tweak will make the gunship spawn every 60 seconds independent of server settings.

Option to remove minimap in Hardcore mode
We now allow disabling the minimap in Hardcore mode.

Rationale: It’s been a requested feature from the community to be able to remove the minimap in hardcore mode. We are now adding a new preset on consoles for server admins to use called “Hardcore no map” which disables the minimap and keeps the rest of the Hardcore settings intact. On PC, you disable the minimap with the server command “vars.minimap false” that is now permitted on Hardcore servers. Enjoy!

Improved server stability
Improved connectivity between game servers and the back end, significantly reducing the number of times a server times out and kicks players.

Knife takedown fix
Fixed so that there can be multiple knife kills at the same time on a server.

Rationale: We had a bug where only one knife takedown could take place at any one time on one server. If you attempted a knife takedown at the exact same time as someone else on the server, the takedown animation wouldn’t play, and your opponent wouldn’t take any damage. This has now been fixed.

MVP Premium member score fix
Fixed so that MVP and best team is calculated using normalized score (removing the advantage Premium members sometimes received in obtaining these ribbons)

Rationale: Earlier, Premium members would get an inflated chance of becoming MVP/best team during Premium exclusive double XP events, since these ribbons were calculated based on total score. Using base values all across the board now removes this artificial advantage.

Kill list fix
Fixed the bug where a kill was listed as a vehicle kill when the player actually killed someone with a mine or similar weapon. Another example where this would occur was if you fired a Javelin, then entered a vehicle before the Javelin hit its target.

Radio beacon exploit fix
Fixed the radio beacon exploit where you could place it above the roof and then spawn on it to access areas that are not meant to be accessible. This glitch was reported on Operation Métro and has been removed.

Ladder/vehicle entry fix
Fixed so that players can no longer enter vehicles while climbing a ladder.

Crash fix
Fixed a rare potential crash issue when loading a new map.

I agree.

Also... no minimap on Hardcore mode.... yes.... and finally.

I joined one of these rooms earlier and there was still a mini map on about 3/5 rooms i went into. Don't know if there's a problem or something maybe it was a different map cycle. But i do love the option it really makes everything better.

Snipers won't know exactly where you are with the motion sensors deployed. Also will make it extremely hard for tanks to see me running up with C4. Now I will have time to run in front of the tank and look at them like no no no then boom hahaha

The notes say the server has the option to disable it so that's probably why.

Honestly I would have to try it out to see how it plays.

Like with what you mentioned with proximity scanners, etc and especially the mobile artillery unit... you would have no clue where your rounds are impacting so it would become close to useless.

If the only time it popped up was for those instances that would be great; well, except for snipers. I hate them.

Thanks for the quick few rounds Mike (Mr T-Bag ), great fun as always.

Sadly I had to call it a night early due an early rise to start fixing someone else's expensive stuff up at work tomorrow.

Hoping to be on tomorrow night if I'm not out on my feet.

Cheers Shaun.

All good mate, thank you too; apologies for the bagging :D. I got very lucky a few times surprising you both in dark corners of that map.

Thanks for saving my bacon a few times at Kharg when my crappy aim just about sealed my fate...only for you to bail me out with some well times bursts from behind me ;)

I am glad my last Battle Report has not shown up. It would probably make me want to :banghead: on something. The game I played was brutal. I managed to spawn into multiple deaths and seemingly every bolt-action wielding enemy Recon player knew exactly where I was. It was not fun at all dying about 13 times and only having four kills. I could do nothing but stumble over myself and contribute virtually nothing to my team; one of the worst games I have played since deciding to play Battlefield 3 on PC. 👎 To make matters worse, my team lost by around six tickets. :ouch:

It it makes you feel any better, we all get those rounds every now and then. ;)

Last weekend gundalini and I had a few tough rounds where spawning into death and getting OSK'd by guys with M9's 10,000 yards away was how it was going, no matter what we did (yes, that's you Apok :p).

Also, did anybody else see the new tags we seemingly got with the last DLC? I only noticed them yesterday...

I just assumed that was never to be spoken of. :dopey:

Yes, Apok handed us all a lesson that day, Andrew is still scheming on how to pay him back. I just said to Andrew "good luck with that mate".

I think from memory over two rounds Apok got me 7 or 8 times and I could only return the favour twice. :ouch:

Cheers Shaun.

Oh, I remember that. Didn't think you'd mention those rounds here. :D

Everyone has a bad day though. I had a round where I died around 20 times with one or two kill. :ouch:

Agreed, we all have our bad rounds. Last night started off with a few of them for us 23rd soldiers and then by the end we were struggling to do anything other then make entire servers quit .

As much as i love emptying servers....

Bad rounds... had a metro round the other night where i got knifed 4 times by the same damn guy.

I might be on later tonight. Going on a canopy zipline tour today, see how the evening goes.

So. Should I buy Armoured Kill or Close Quarters?

Just get CQ, AK never came with the 5 base vehicle attachments. It doesn't add anything to the game as a whole other than some tags, unlike CQ which has some nice weapons.

With the most recent fix on the gunship RXP and I actually had some good fun playing Rush on the AK maps. We still think it's too easy for the offense on certain bases because of the sheer number of tank/destroyers that are available to them.

And we also think that the hardest base to take out of all of them is the "A" bomb site at the final set on Alborz. On two occasions out team was on offense and steamrolled our way through all the previous bombs, but both times were stomped when it came down to only that bomb left.
