There is alot less "action" than CoD, for the most part. But that is probably just cause the maps are HUGE. Honestly, I'd still get BF3. There is just something sooo satisfying about a 500m headshot.

Hey guys, I'd like some opinions. Now I don't have the game, but considering getting it at the beginning of summer. (Can't be getting new games around this time) Would this game be worth getting? I can never get any good opinions without there being Call of Duty fanboyism incorporated. Battlefield looks much better to my outsider view so I want it more, but not sure if it's worth it because of course I can't get any good opinions without CoD interference. Your take on it?

Its been worth getting since it came out, If you like this type of thing that is. If you havnt had the urge to try BF3 untill now, what took you so long? LOL. BF3 is a very highly rated game in most circles and you'll be hard pressed to find someone who dislikes it, Except for COD people but that swings both ways between BF and COD fans. I've spent over £100 on the game and have never got so much value out of a game ever. Took me over a year to get to 100 colenel (highest multiplayer rank) and it was a joy all the way. Even though BF4 will be out in about 8 months I'd still urge you to pick BF3 up, And I wouldn't be surprised you'll be eagerly anticipating BF4 like the rest of us on a few months: )
 
You can also be hugely creative with your kills. Apart from the general knifing or shooting, you can defibrillate, C4, repair tool, MAV. Even the medkit if you're lucky :dopey:

I have been seeing people get killed by a medical kit before on metro. And someone died by their own. I am going to try to figure it out. Total troll move hahaha
 
A quick search of the battlelog forums produced this:


If you have 0-2% health, you stand over the kit and someone shoots it from under you it explodes.You die as a result. Counts as medi kit kill lol.

Did I see Battlefield 4 talk? Thinking about buying premium but for the price of the game, might just wait it out, buy BF4, then premium for that. Decisions, decisions.

So thats the way to get a SS for Med pack :P Can you kill someone by throwing it at him?

Thanks for the input. 👍 Seems to take awhile to level up, no? I like those kind of games. I guess I will be picking up a copy!

:lol: I don't exactly live alone. Younger siblings should not be exposed to such games according to parents. Reasonable I suppose. :)

Guy told me last night that I was a no talent **** because I shot him with the GP30 Dart.. he said I was a shotgun W****.. so I checked his Bf3 stats his number 2 weapon was the MK Shotgun.. and yet I have no talent because I shot him once with the GP30

So, I tried the L85 with heavy barrel + US 3.4x scope last night. Out of 19 kills with the gun, I had 4 headshots. There's just something about the gun that makes it terrible at headshots. :ouch:

I even had 2-3 where I was shooting the guy in the head and it didn't register as a headshot kill.
 
Almost every kill I get is a headshot but I use the AEK most of the time. Seriously love that gun. Got 40 something service stars on it.
 
That's why I'm frustrated with the L85. Every other gun, I can get headshots 1 out of every 3 kills on average, but the L85 is double that with 1 out of every 6.

Theres no logical reason as to why you cant get headshots with the L85. Its one of the most accurate ARs in the game and is a very easy gun to use. So imo, It must stem from your playstyle. The only thing i can think off is it might be because it has a such low recoil, This in most instances is good, But weapons with a more pronounced Vertical recoil are prone to getting headshots when aiming at the torso, As the gun kicks up its quite likely you might get a headshot even when not actively aiming at the head. That being said i dont think your problem is solely down to the weapon. I use Kobra, No attachment and Heavy Barrel and its a joy to use. If you havnt tried the heavy barrel yet (be suprised if you hadnt) Then that might help with the low recoil explanation other than that all i can say is whatever you do dont equip the Foregrip. The L85 has very little horizontal recoil, So all the Grip is doing is making your shots less accurate with no actual improvement for anything.

Last time i played the game i did a "counter-knife", i pressed like mad all the buttons of my ds3 and when he stabbed me he suddenly died and left me with 0 health, i was like WTF JUST HAPPENED HERE?

Extremely this.

I've outsniped a few snipers with the L85, holo, suppressor and grip, I love that thing. Admittedly I got the required kills with it long before I got the headshots but I usually aim for the chest in a firefight and go for the head if they don't know I'm there.
 
I guess the L85 just isn't for me. Which is a good thing since I'm not using it again once I get the assignment for it done. At the rate I'm going with that, I'll have all the unlocks finished as well for it.
