I got caught up in the awesome singleplayer after I tried it and haven't stopped, it's really surprisingly amazing. There's been a lot of awesome moments so far but this part really got me:

Highlight the text if you don't care about spoilers:
During Night Shift when you're about to try and capture Bashir, Officer Cole lets
out this awesome line after being asked if we can shoot Bashir, " Absolutely not, we do not want a Bin Laden style resolution." xDDDDDDDDDDD
 
I don't know how to fly. I tried to fly a UH1 the first night. I landed it upside down and killed myself in all of about 10 seconds or less. That includes the first time I wrecked it onto its side, got out, repaired it and got back in it. :lol:
 
Is there a way to look back in vehicles? And when I'm in the jet it says Warn, does that mean I'm outside the combat zone? And how do you evade rockets or missiles in the jet?

And my screen shakes alot in the Jet, is that normal? And what does the afterburner do?

Intel Core i3 2.23Ghz / 4Gb RAM / Radeon HD5730 1 Gb video card.

I found that setting the graphic settings to low didn't improve my framerate by that much in the BETA compared to what it was set when I first got it going.

Was your video card running at 99% usage?

And were you backing out of the game after doing your graphics setting changes?

I have a question. What purpose do the jets serve? They really are a complete non factor in the game. Is there a way to take checkpoints with them or something that I don't know about?

The jets are supposed to take out vehicles and helicopters.

I think its suitable for everyone really. Even the best players go negative.. But to what extent you go negative is the question haha

I don't think there is a way to look backwards.. It's kind of annoying. The warning and greyed out screen with the countdown timer is out of bounds. To evade rockets and lock you just have to try to outrun them using afterburners, if you don't have flares. The jets do shake a lot.
 
Just had some fun for a while, :D I noticed a problem with the Humvees though, this guy was parked by himself in the Humvee on the gun, and me and some other guys didn't have any rockets I guess, so we figured we could shoot him, you could look inside the car, and see a person sitting in the back seat. But, when you go to shoot him, it does nothing and he doesn't die. And I got killed by him. It seems the windows were bulletproof while trying to shoot him. :(

They are typically bullet proof. If you don't don't have the shot the best bet is to not engage.

The car was parked and me and my teammates were around it and the guy didn't see us. So apparently it was impossible to kill him unless you destroyed the Humvee

Seems to be the case, I wonder why they don't use an RPG.


So I finally get to play it, and I'm really impress by it (specially on PC, which is the version I don't have). Damavand Peak is really cool actually, because is not only about the jump, but the CP in the jump point actually makes up for interesting battles.

I must say that planes handle pretty well and helicopters are actually a bit too easy(on 360), I got the hang of it and I cant stop noticing that the Team Deadmatch business is not that different from MoH 2010 multiplayer, but on itself is actually really really good(specially when you score some knife kills). Maps and vehicles are severely limited(as expected) on consoles, however you get to plane with aircraft and Helicopters.

But my disappointment with it is the campaign, is not bad compared to other games but when you compare it to multiplayer is actually quite poor and some bits of the storyline are actually quite a deja vu, the ironic part of this is that the story does have really interesting moments and bits, however the story was too centric(in the main character), when there are a good range of characters, sites and situations which could have been develop over the different mechanics that the game offered, the story is pretty generic but it has some details that makes it interesting, however what makes it uninteresting is the fact that it goes over the whole generic shooter parade that has become common in these days.

I played coop and is actually really good(I would say best coop game I have played thus far) but there is no denial that the multiplayer is a million times better than the campaign. Is a really good game on 360(best thing I have played since Batman: Arkham Asylum) but is better played on PC.

I am in bf2. Havent had much practice with these, i cant even join an empty server and practice. I want to be able to practice the flight controls

I was hoping that you could hop in empty servers, but no. I was asking because I'd like to find someone to fly with because I'm a pretty good gunner. Also that I suck at flying choppers. 👍

Lol, I did the same. But I forgot to set my vehicle settings to invert. But I have to admit, the choppers are damn hard to fly. This needs some practice....

I had it once that I stood in front of an enemy humvee. I saw the guy inside and tried to shoot him. Nothing happened so I thought it may would be an friendly vehicle. I walked away and he killed my with his humvee....by a ROAD KILL!!!! I had to laugh at myself at this..:lol:

What bothers me a bit more is, that you cant kill light vehicles with one RPG shot. I mean, seriously, an RPG on a little Jeep? Also tank shels, one shot should be enough like in BC2.




Now, this is very important and it may only happen on Consoles. The mic issue!
I can't get on any other forum than this (work locked all BF3 forums), so I have to ask you guys.

Is there any statement from DICE yet? Because its impossible to play with friends online. Mic doesn't work and to team up with 4 or more friends is a pain in the ass.
This is a gamebreaker right now. It really pissed me of yesterday.
Other than that, the game seems pretty awesome so far. The only thing is the controls on the consoles. Freakin hard compared to BC2...
 
Ya. I just got my copy! It looks awesome! Ya, my online pass is invalid! Wont' let me get online! Ya, 6,000 yen paperweight. WTF?
 
Man i love Origin....

Initializing for over 5 minutes now for just wanting to play SP.

It´s strange because the process is running but no game shows up :S

I'm not really sure how to answer that, or if that is even a real question. Do you usually use a mouse and keyboard on the PS3?
 
im so sick & tired of pc gaming, bf3 isnt even out for 48hs and so many players are already hacking.
was in a game with a friend of mine and he starting complaining that he keeps getting shot by a pistol from a range of at least 200m.
then i started getting killed by that very same person using the G17. Note that i was sniping from the woods and while watching the killcam i saw the guy proning at "B" which was like 225m away from me.

some other player had a rapid fire hack and others starting complaining about aimbots being used.

i love playing on pc due to its amazing graphics and useability, but these hackers are pushing me more and more onto consoles!
 
Loving BF3 and haven't experienced any hacking as of yet on PC but was starting to get a bit pissed off with the random disconnects, game crashes and server lag. Not the only one with the issue, lets just hopes it's because everyone is downloading the patch or something off their servers and it disappears soon....

Otherwise, fantastic game. Loving every second of it!

Got my PS3 copy this morning, started the 229MB update an hour ago and it's only on 36%. :irked:
