Battlefield 3

I lucked out and made some new buddies when we found ourselves on a server just the three of us. We decided not to shoot eachother and instead armed and disarmed mcoms for an hour lol. I had like 20,000 points that round. Next map we had a couple snipe-offs from the aircraft carrier to see who could hit the third guy standing way on land. Good times! We definitely have to get a private server.
 
If you guys are looking fo r a good server, we have one called Not in the face! Hackers get kicked, and everyone is playing the way it should be. The server will be the most active from around 8pm-12pm est. time.

Got my PS3 copy this morning, started the 229MB update an hour ago and it's only on 36%. :irked:

I'd have canceled and started again unless it's your Internet. My update took maybe 5 minutes.
 
Still can´t get my game started for some reason.....

Pissed of as hell right now as it´s only saying "Initializing..."
All the got damn time...

60 minutes waiting for talking to support doesn´t help either.

I was having trouble too this morning on the PC. If your on PC, have you tried right clicking BF3 in the origin window where you load up from, and (I think it's called) fix game install or something like that?. I did that and it gave me a 50 meg update for it. The whole process took 5 minutes or so. It's ran fine ever since.

I did. Twice, no change though so I just left it.

Pretty impressed with single player so far, nice to have an FPS where hard actually means hard, I think I died about 6 times in the same area on the second mission. :ouch:

Time for a bit of multiplayer! :D

Make sure you have allowed scripts for battlelog and have the right plugins installed and all that. Also make sure Windows firewall isn't blocking it.

What browser are you using?

Tried repair now, downloading at 100+ mbit sec.
Hopefully that fixes it, thanks!

Edit: now only 11 mbit sec...

How do i allow scripts? Firewall i´m sure it isn´t, it has never given me any problems at all.

They ask me for a print of the "initializing" thing and then it goes quiet until they quit the conversation.....

No, we were trying to knife the windows etc. And he was on the gun, but didn't see us, I could see his head in the car as this was like point blank range but I guess it just shows a guy sitting there while the actual person is firing the gun, or the windows at that point of the car are bullet proof

Edit: I was using a recon class and I guess none of my teammates around me had an RPG.
 
If EA and DICE had a face i would punch it several times.

I tried to fix the install by downloading it again and it worked fine until it stopped at 40%.
My patience is being tested on extreme levels right now.
 
Finally got my Best Buy pre order code.. The guy that rang it up didn't do it right so I went back to the store and got it figured out.. SPECACT is cool but it's just one skin that isn't too special
 
Surprised no one has noticed yet that their PS3 version of the game doesn't come with Battlefield 1943 included as was promised at E3.

Sony and EA outright lied and now they have replaced it with getting early access to DLC which PS3 users were getting anyway plus you still have to pay for it. This is such bull from games companies these days.

Read about it, its all over the net.
 
I don't give a crap about BF 1943. It was also free with my copy of Bad company 2 and I didn't bother to download it then either. I'm perfectly happy with early DLC access and I get it for free.

Anyone on PS3 tonight?
 
I already have Battlefield 1943

And one thing though, I'm getting this really weird glitch on the single player mission, Fear No Evil, the one with the tanks and trying to get to the bank, but when I do get to the bank, and I have to go onto the turret to defend the extraction helicopter, I turn the turret towards the enemies, and my screen goes white, and when I look away, it's fine, so I can't get past this part, any help?

Edit: I got past that part but it still seems to happen to me randomly on the next missions

I haven't even looked at the trophies yet. I'll help you though. I know at least the G3 and SG553 are unlocked via co-op, possibly more weapons.

Yea there's about 10 including the M14 EBR, KH2002, MP443 Rex, 93R Raffica, etc. I'll be on tomorrow at around 3:30 but I'm going somewhere so I won't be on for a while. I got up to Drop 'em Like Liquid and need only 2,000 points for the KH2002. Trophies aren't to hard I guess. I have about half off em.
 
I've only had the chance to play multiplayer for an hour on launch night. Hopefully I can get out of work earlier on saturday otherwise sunday I'm mostly free unless something comes up. I'm so dang busy its hard to plan things anymore.
