The G3 sucks. The M16A4 is much better. If you can control the recoil, it has almost perfect accuracy, and that accuracy is applied to the entire burst. Bursts deliver three bullets in the same time the G3 can get a shot or two off, adjusting for recoil.

Most hardcore servers I see are usually named "sniper paradise". It's basically a very long TDM on every game mode.

Yep, as I only play hardcore, and mostly rush (like 95% of the time) I have.

Why do you ask?

Just curious because not very many people enjoy it, I actually think it makes you better especially when the minimap is turned off. I have noticed an improvement in my games.

Yep, having the minimap off is definitely improving your skill and teamwork.

I also find it easier to pay attention to details with the minimap off.
Things such as sounds from footsteps, the enemy and friendly character talking and even things like the "fog" on Grand Bazaar and other maps can help you out with the gameplay.

Exactly, I also do find no one goes running off as everyone stays in groups to help revive and resupply eachother. When you take these skills into regular games you find you somehow have the advantage over other players.

I just like to have "more" control, I didn't enjoy any FPS on the console really.

I would like to play on PC but I don't have good enough computer. My current computer has problems watching YouTube videos. I'm planning on upgrading sometime this year

Yeah, you really should. But make sure, you got enough money lying around.
It's always important to spend the little more to have a longer lifespan of the PC. So, don't go and say "Oh, I got like a 400$ Budget", I want to play BF4 at max. Settings. That's just not possible.

My tip: At least 1000$, possibly even 1500$

When it comes to burst weapons, the AN-94 is king. The two round burst has a special setup that keeps the two rounds hitting nearly the same spot every single burst, while the M16A4 likes to throw the third bullet high and waste ammunition/number of burst available per magazine. The AN-94 can also maintain a higher rate of fire; there are plenty of people that can hit close to the 1200 rpm max that the AN-94 can put out while using the burst function. However, the M16A4 does have a much faster reload speed and that can be very useful.

Between the G3A3, M16A4, and AN-94, I find the G3A3 the most forgiving, except at close ranges. The M16A4 can get out of hand fast if burst fired too quickly. The AN-94 requires precision aiming and the learning curve for the weapon is quite high; but if the aiming is on, then the AN-94 can put down opponents very quickly.

I just finished the Mastery tag for the G3A3. The G3A3 is quite nice at mid to long ranges. The extra damage offered by the 7.62x51mm NATO round is very noticeable. Needing to put less rounds on targets at range seemed to lead to less of my deaths, as I was not exposed from cover nearly as often. However, the G3A3 is pretty much garbage in close quarters. The weapon's recoil is much more noticeable with the longer than two or three round bursts that are often needed in close quarters. Combine that with the smaller magazine capacity of 20 rounds and it makes for a bad close quarters weapon.

Do you guys play on the PC or ps3?

PC Master Race!

I used to play the PC version but haven't in months, I've been playing it on PS3 a little since it was free on PS+. I'm not very good as I can't work a PS3 controller any more.

Come back to the Master Race!

Don't think you'd be getting much benefit from upgrading if your computer struggles playing Youtube videos. :scared:

I could be wrong though since my desktop is over 10 years old. :p

I am really liking the M27 IAR with Kobra sight, Foregrip, and Heavy Barrel. That thing is just awesome. I have never really enjoyed playing Support because to be effective with the class, I had to play more like a turret. The M27 IAR makes being stationary less necessary, but a bit more compared to using the M416 and the Assault class.

Now I have another nice class option to play on maps that vehicle destruction is important. This is not a statement against the Engineer class. Blowing stuff up with C4 is incredibly satisfying.

Never really tried using the M27 IAR. I'll try and see if I like it.

Oh Yes!

I have setup a new PSN name for future games on the PS4, with one such game being BF4. However this isn't the main reason for this post, because I was able to nab BF3 from the instant games collection before it is removed.

_______________

PSN | BF3: Pebb--
XBL | BF3: Pebb

Here's something for the T-90 lovers in this thread. :p

I'm sure that once it landed, it didn't spontaneously lose traction and spin like it hit an ice patch.

Sick. And probably true. Hopefully they will fix that in BF4

As a follow up to my previous weapon post, the L86A2 is also a very good Support option. The bullpup design affords the weapon better hip fire. The L86A2 also has slightly less recoil than the M27 IAR. However, the tradeoff for those benefits is a reload time that is quite a bit longer.

I remember back when the RPK extended mag was 200 rounds, haha

My first and favorite MG in an instant. IAR ain't got nothing on the RPK! :sly:

Until they patched it...
