I've never used it outside of campaign. It was limited to a 2 round burst I believe. It had very low recoil like that.

OLDSKOOLACURA
hahaha, good thinking

buddy told me they added more hardcore servers WOOHOO!!!!!

Really? Ps3, 360, or pc? Or all? When did they do this, I was playin sunday and a lot of the servers had 8 PEOPLE IN THE QUEUE!!!

And that spot thing is brilliant! The only jet pts i have is when a tank accidentally crossed my machine gun, but most of the time I get shot down or inevitably hit a pole lol

The little bird however is great to me although i havent gotten a streak like in blackhawk down, but i really like it and I'm almost to flares

I think a major update is in need for the jets, and make em more like jets in ace combat: assault horizon, that would be brilliant and have about 3 for each team instead of 2 or 3 total

or have a MODERNIZED BATTLE OF BRITAIN map

God i love using the mk11. I cant wait to unlock it for use on both sides. The svd.... im not sure if its the same strength as the mk11 but i just cant shoot anyone with it. I will say i much prefer a crosshair over this /\. Not sure if thats what breaks it for me. So far 160 kills with the MK11.. woohoo!

I think if they do an Air Superiority it would have to be done without jets specs to keep it more fun. If everyone had specs it would just turn into a missile fest, but with just the gun it would be dog fights

Can someone please explain me how to fire with the rpg's you unlock? It says they will only fire when a lock is acquired. But after locking on a helicopter, the fire button does nothing and releasing the aim doesn't work either. On tanks or other ground vehicles I can't even lock on... This game really lacks a good manual for people unfamiliar with the series.

The IGLA is just for air targets. You have to aim at the target with the red box and then fire when it's locked on. I think it says lock-on if you can fire. You have to also keep in mind that they can deploy flares after lock-on. You want to use the regular RPG for ground vehicles.

Im thinking about getting Battlefield 3 for PS3. Can you guys who have it please give me your opinion on the campaign mode, Ive heard some good and bad things about it. Ive heard the online multiplayer is pretty good. If anybody can please give me their opinion on the campaign mode then thanks.

Or put in a jet only game mode like 1943 .

Taking out aircraft is too hard. Correct me if I'm wrong but the maps with jets/helis don't have any IFVs with AA capability do they? One of my favorite things to do it BF2 was to sit outside the enemy base with a bradly IFV and take out choppers with its 30mm cannon.

Unfortunately the campaign is very much a rehash of some COD games

I think everyone knows that the main focus of BF3 is the multiplayer. I wouldn't expect the single player to be the greatest of all time, but the Battlefield series wouldn't be where it is without MP

I enjoyed the Campaign mode, even though it was presented in a fashion very similar to Black Ops. I do wish the Campaign had lasted longer and had more vehicle combat. Flying a plane in multiplayer without any way to practice outside of multiplayer is not good for someone like me that is just now getting feet wet in the Battlefield series. I avoid piloting in a plane or helicopter for that reason alone; I would rather leave a plane or helicopter to people who are already much better at piloting either. I am a decent gunner for a helicopter though and have no problem jumping into one if a gunner is needed.

Campaign is fun and better understandable as the Black Ops one.

Vash: take it. Otherwise you will never learn.

I killed my whole squad on the last match because i landed too much outside of the map after the engine failed. That's war ;)

That's why I hate all the big review sites, they all docked it huge marks for singleplayer. It's simply bonus and this game is all about multiplayer.

They could have done a little better job, it seemed really short to me. good but short, but like everyone already said "it's more multiplayer"

O I almost forgot...CANUCKS BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

lol Just messing with you

So I just got this game, playing through the single player campaign on hard (mainly because normal has aim assist, I don't like that), and well it is harder than BC2 was on hard, for sure.

I'm finding myself really annoyed by this smudged camera lense thing they got going, why am I seeing the world through a dirty camera lense rather than the eyes of the soldier? I wish I could turn it off, I mean, we clean our computer screens so we can have a nice clean crisp picture and then game makers decide to add in their own dirty screen filter.

Bah, cool game so far, though i'm finding it a little more like MW2 was than BFBC2 (and I much prefered the single player of BFBC2). Will see how online fairs, not played the online since the beta.

^ it's to try to immerse you more into the game, and yea hard was really hard. I just beat it last night hard with no aim assist.

So the campaign is like CoD 4's? Suddenly I find myself Interested.

I'm drawing a rough comparison between the two. Don't take my word for it. I just mean if it felt like any cod game it felt like cod4 a little.

I don't quite understand why people are saying why it's like Black Ops? Like you said time_attack, it's mostly like COD4 but still quite different. I like how instead of being all action, there's some down time between things. Plus the story isn't so stupidly unbelievable as Black Ops.

Just got the game out of the blue. I was planning to buy MW3 but I saw it cheap and couldn't resist. My and my brother both shared the expense. Watched him play it online. First impressions? Stunningly tactical. People seem to care about completing the objectives as a team and working together unlike in CoD.

yea those are the BEST when people work together, makes the game 1000000000000x more fun, even more when you are all talking to each other and planning things out.

I just played a little more and wow it took a couple games, I was just bad today :grumpy:.

I did kill a heli with a rocket (disabled it any way). I shot the rocket and killed a guy in the chopper, than the chopper landed and I shot one of the guys that jumped out and tossed a grenade and killed the other

Ya I haven't found a map with AA tanks which is surprising.
