Karkland is up on the Aus PS store, downloading it now.
Funny thing though I couldn't access it through the "in game store", had to go through the PS store itself.

Got mine now, but it won't let me join the games, keeps joining Kharg island tdm instead of a conquest on the new maps

Xbox Live makes you decide at least a month before hand when something is going to be released. They have things set on certain dates to keep things coming steadily. PSN does it differently where whenever you can get it out, it goes up the next day. Now why PC is delayed, I do not know. May be something with Origin.

Ugh I thought it was included in the patch. They released a Wake Island trailer too, but I can't post a link since I'm using the app.

PS3 has a 1 week exclusivity for all the Battlefield DLC.

That's what they are saying. But I'm thinking that because of the restrictions that Xbox Live has, that is probably a bit more of a reason. That's a reason why the major update for PS3 almost a week ago hasn't come out for Xbox yet.
 
First of all, do you have a source for these restrictions you speak of? Second this DLC has been planned for months so I think they've been prepared for a certain release date for a long time now, plenty of time to meet these restrictions.

In other words I think you're just speculating, I personally don't care if I (PS3) got it a week early or late so long as I still get it so I wouldn't bother thinking about why, just take it at face value that PS3 will get the lot a week early and worry no more about it.

No it isn't its because of the exclusive deal they've got. Sony is paying big money for this.

We here in North America will get it when the PSN updates at like 3-5 pm PST time.

I recall listening to multiple IGN podcasts saying this. Although it was about a year ago as things may have changed.

If that was the case all dlc would come out a week early on ps3. It's the exclusive deal that'd the reason nothing else.

The commercials for Battlefield 3 state such, at least for Back to Karkand.

Yes. If your anywhere but North America or Asia then you can get it now. If you live in North America it will come out when the store updates which could be 2 minutes from now or a couple of hours.

That's correct mate, surprised me as well. I assumed the maps were in last weeks update and you just unlocked them.
Downloaded it last night, indicated it would take 136 min with my slow internet so I went to bed. I'll have a look tonight after work if I get the chance.

Ok thank you, I should only have to wait about an hour probably less than. Can't wait!

Slowly downloading. Frozen at 16 minutes and 3%.

Edit: Nope PS3 just froze. Uhm what the Fu**? It says checking for files when I restarted it and it'll tale 2-3 hours if any files were corrupt? What did they all do in the last freaking update?
