wow nice. I've only just started using my smoke launcher but for cover. Never realized how useful it really can be.

The smoke launcher is very useful, plus you have a "smoke cover" if a enemy medic is on your way.
You only need some practice for the correct distance of the grenade, then you can manage some pretty nice kill streaks. :sly:

Smoke launcher kills are the most funniest kills, and for the enemies the most annoying. :)👍

But nothing compared to AT4 kills. If you know how hard the AT4 is to use (at least on PC) then you'll  the following:

Sorry, 4x :D

Yesterday was playing recon attacking Port Valdez, hideyholing on the big hill overlooking the first MComm objectives and some engineer with a L-Scar sniped me from the base of the multistory building that has the MG42 near the top. I almost threw my controller out the 🤬 window.

lol, holy %#$%.

yea I prob would of thrown the controller and then I would of been pissed even more for throwing it lol

P.S. those videos are crazy

Saw this posted on Facebook and thought you guys might enjoy? 👍

Russian Battlefield fansites battlefieldbc.ru and bf3.com.ua recently held an interview with Russian Battlefield Community Manager Eugene Olenev.

Battlefieldo then took a look over this interview and condensed the information into an easy to read list for you all to enjoy.

- Hitboxes are much improved in comparison with BFBC2.

- Recoil is really tricky and needs getting used to.

- The closed betatest for MoH owners will be held but no word on date yet.

- There will be ingame VOIP.

- There are three slots for weapon customization.

- Character customization will be up but no word on details.

- BF3 will be greatly optimized. DICE is willing to optimize it for all platforms and hardware.

- System specs won`t be “fantastic”. They will be reasonable.

- The feeling of BF3 is truly different. It`s not BF2 and not BFBC2.

- BF3 will be highly cybersports-oriented.

- There`s no final decision about commo-rose at DICE.

- There`s closed area at DICE office where people work on unannounced project.

- Battlelog is a web-application for BF3.

From the videos I've seen, the UI looks dreadful. Was expecting something similar to BC2, but it's a lot closer to MOH :irked:

I just got invited to the Alpha and am downloading now!

One of the happier days of my gaming life :)

Been playing battlefield since I '42 came out on launch day so I'm pretty dedicated. All let you guys know what I think tomorrow when I buy my new graphics card.

Later!

How do you get that? :) Had to own MOH?

Wardez appears to be playing PC, Awesome that he got in on the Alpha. I would bet that the codes for the consoles will come out shortly for the Alpha. Keeping my fingers crossed, would like to play on the closed beta before they open it up for everyone in Sept!

I know EA is mostly about how much revnue can they get out of a game but I think Battlefield should remain on PC's until consoles can match it. Bad Company was perfectly designed from the ground up to be a console shooter. Smaller Levels, single player (for what its worth) limited vehicles in MP. I remember the first time I played BF 1942, I was blown away by the Modern combat mods. The scale of the levels the number of players and vehicles in a match. It was awesome. Now to read the the console verison has been scaled back due to system limits. We simply are left with Bad company 3..... BF was all about scale. 64players PC VS 24 console is not as "massive"

I don't have a modern PC so thats out the question. I will wait for console reviews to decide if I should stick to BFBC2 or shellout more (than the PC verison) for less game.

I pre-ordered this game but if I get some extra money I might Pre-order MW3 also, both look good but Battlefield 3 looks outstanding :D

Invite only to select members of their community. MOH will be sort of like how plus gets some demos early and then open beta after for everybody. Check out the Battlefield blog they had an update on there about this. Chances of getting alpha were very slim.

Your a lucky man Wardez.

Also to the comments about how Battlefield is all about scale I think your off there. I'm very confident it still be great on consoles. It will play much differently than the PC obviously but you can throw out any hope of a console game ever being like a PC game it just can't. That doesn't make it bad just different. Without the consoles revenue from the game would be massively slashed and don't blame EA for it. If you had a company and you looked at likely tripling your money by releasing it on PS3 and 360 would you not do it? Come on now.

I played the Alpha for a while at my friend's house. Good fun. He has three 24" monitors and surround sound. If only I was better with the mouse. I love the option for no optics on the sniper rifles, and that laser sights make it hard to see when they're pointed in your face. :D

Woohoo!!!!!!!! Just got my alpha invite! Too bad I'm at work now Won't be able to try this out until tomorrow

If anyone has a PC Alpha that they can't play, you know where to send it. :D

(...to me.)

It ends in 2 days unfortunately. August 1st.... I'll only get 2 says at it. Thankfully Monday is a holiday here :)

So BF3 won't be on Steam. Damn it. Why does EA always have to be a bunch of Grade-A dicks?

I bet it will be on Steam. This is a threat and EA isn't stupid enough to lose out on that many sales. Especially impulse sales we all know we make with Steam.

To those who played alpha what did you think? I personally loved it but I saw a lot of people who disagreed on Battlelog.

My personal favorite new feature (I was only invited with 2 days left) was suppressive fire. I think they implemented that really well.

Apparently 2 new trailers at GamesCon later this month. Co-op and more multiplayer but this time on a map with jets.
