^ no where near as badass as the BC2 video, but like you said BF3 has only been out for a few weeks.

Just got this game on Xbox 360. All I can say is WOW!!! There's very few games that haven't left a huge grin on my face! However, that was before I learned the real Battlefield.

This so called "Real Battlefield" is what I call, well, it's that one feeling you get when you decide to go talk to the people in your squad, and you sort of bond together as an actual team, instead of random people from the internet. It's when your parents walk in on you saying things like; "I'll cover your six!" or "🤬, there's a chopper lighting us up over at the large radar!" or maybe "I'll lay down covering fire to draw the sniper out at C so you can take him out and let our guys move in for the capture." What's that stuff called? Oh yeah, teamwork! It's what makes this game different from the generic, Call of Duty's or those other FPS's. Sure, those are good, but Battlefield just get's it right. You'll find it nearly impossible to win without getting in contact with your team. It makes a difference.

A few of us were playing today, not knowing each other at all, when we went to gamechat. Our spawn started getting choked by a tank, so we devised a clever plan to flank it. One of us would stay on the bridge, and the two others would take the tank on both left and right sides. When the tank turned to get one of us on it's sides, the third person would hit it with a third missile. We executed the plan, which allowed us to take one of the objectives, winning it for our team. Just a simple mistake in guarding the flanks of the tank cost the other team the game, and a smart plan and teamwork won the game for us.

So chatting goes a long way. Needless to say, this will stay in y console for months to come!
 
This game has me hooked, as I mentioned about a week ago I'm a total noob at FPS. The more I play the more I'm learning, managed my first MVP last night. :D

Now as crispy has mentioned using a headset to talk to your squad raises the bar again. I don't have a headset but wouldn't mind trying one, thing is though I want to listen to the game through my system not headphones. This has to be the best sounding game I've played.

Is it possible to get a mike but still hear my squad through say the center channel of my system? If so can anyone recommend anything. On PS3 BTW.

Ya there is a setting to play voice chat though your sound system.

Ok so I just went back to this game after going to work not seven hours ago. When I left I was level seven, come back, play one game, and I didn't notice but I was back to level 1. But when I look at my battelog page, it still shows me as level 6. Messed up, and Im pretty pissed that I lost all my progress.

Usually it's just a hiccup and it goes back to normal after you leave servers and join a new one and such.
 
Didn't it do that in BC2? You would lose all your stuff except for your starter stuff and SPECACT DLC. And I remember at times it would happen to everyone I think, and everyone would be fighting with starter weapons or SA kits and weapons. But it would eventually all come back?

It came back now thankfully, been doing quite well. Had a couple of very good games (for me :lol:) 30-11, 19-11 and 15-2. Using the M4A1 with suppressor and its a beast. Anyone on looking for a squad mate add me on PSN.

For some reason this game always freezes on Caspian Border on CQ for me. Its happened 5/5 times and it just happened again, now I'm frozen again on the loading screen after just rebooting. This game is hella fun but it has a lot of issues.

EDIT: And three more loading screen freezes and Im at the main menu...

I played quite a bit yesterday and managed to get in a few games with ROAD_DOGG33J. Tried to get in a game with *ibo* S3 Racer, but I was not able to connect and I decided to run a Co-op mission or two. Speaking of Co-op, I unlocked the KH-2002 yesterday. I ran the helicopter mission a few times and am improving at flying a helicopter; I still have a long ways to go being good at flying one, but I can get in one and be half decent.

It wasn't like he even aimed at me. I just happened to decide to jump out over an objective as he happened to be flying under.

I hope at the very least my corpse damaged his plane. I doubt it though.

BTW, how many dog tags have you guys taken? I'm level 11 and I have taken 22 so far. Its sort of addicting with the animations how they are.

Yeah one guy I hit on accident, the other guy I swooped down and got him by sheer luck.

I try not to knife people though. Animation takes way too long, it leaves me vulnerable, and it's just a waste of time. I would rather just shoot you with my gun and get on with my kill streak
 
Does anyone else have issues spawning when playing Seine Crossing TDM? Every time I play, the deploy button is available but it won't let you spawn most of the time. I've played a few servers and it seems to occur every time on this stage.
 
I like to see how many people I can knife before they notice. I'll play recon and put a spawn point behind them and keep doing it if I can. I'll usually get the same person 2-3 times in a game. Grand Bazaar is good for this.
 
I hate joining games with players that are completely worthless. Hated it in previous Battlefield titles. And hate it in this one as well. Just played a game of rush where I set every charge. And had 4500 Points. Second person on my team had 400. Utterly Worthless.
 
I'm curious, what's the highest score you guys have got in a round so far? I've had a couple at ~8000 but my best was just shy of 10k. Depending on the map I can get 20-30 kills but usually more like around 10.

I'm not what you would call a good player. But I average around 2500 per game. And that's on Conquest. Usually hit 3000 for Rush. If your hitting 10k then your kind of like God. I've never seen anyone on PS3 get over 6000.

Im talking about all bonuses included. Typically I only get about 2500-3000 also, I play CQ as well.

I try for MVP and usually get in the top three for my team, its all about playing the objective.

I've gone full speed into enemy jets head on and enemy helicopters while in a jet but it doesn't really cause damage I guess.

This is a common issue for people who have a lot of unused game demos on their ps3, and can happen to any game. If that's not the case then I don't know wahat the issue is, it's only frozen 3 times in ...... however long its been out, for me

I've got around 7k just combat score, but I've have a lot of regular 10k point games (including award score.) My all time best was 24k, but that was a really good game, plus a service star (2k) or two, and a medal (10k)

Good games will be around 40 kills or so, but most often 20-35ish

Yeah I think I often just run into planes and heli when I'm shooting at them. I don't always mean to, and sometimes it causes a lot of damage, other times I am fine.

My highest was 11,000 in conquest for score. Overall it was almost 20 haha.
