I think he means gun fights being unbalanced. I have also experienced some unbalance, M416 and G36C's putting me down in literally one bullet. But I just put it down to net code and not worry about it really.

If you get mad enough at a game that you feel the need to crack it in half, you should probably take a break. I used to get really annoyed by games that I felt were unfair. But now I just kind of blame it on other things.

Oh yea, I find the USAS12 to be overpowered, if you are up close to an enemy with one, good luck. Otherwise I just get annoyed with people laying down with the M249 and the M416 and G36 do always kill me a lot quicker than they should.

The M249 is the most OP gun in the game. You want to complain about something complain about that.

There were lots of decent games tonight. I just finally called it quits for the night. Talk about a marathon session! It was all pretty one sided in our favor until the last few games which we still won a few.

Last night on Damavand and Seine etc.
 
That was later in the night after our team started struggling. We only played damavand once and I didn't even get to the base jump. Earlier in the night was when we were kicking ass.

I also forgot to mention how bad the rubber banding got later in the night. I was on top of a building in the middle of kharg island near the b objective when all of a sudden I was shot way out into the middle of the ocean. It was nuts.
 
I had that a couple times. My team wasn't even trying to advance last night it sucked. Add in that I was trying to get my brother pistol ribbons...
 
I discovered a new love for a gun. SV98 with no scope on it. Fantastic rifle and with the straight pull its amazing at medium range which is about all you get in BF3. Finished top 3 quite a few times as recon because of it and it's a lot easier to get headshots.

I've heard a lot about people doing no scope and having it be a lot easier with one shot kills

God yes. I was a pretty good sniper in BC2 but not so much in BF3. I finally take the scope off and my god things are so much easier plus you get a much wider field of view.

I think it's subjective. I've done really well with all the rifles. MK11 and M39 shoot very similar. Same with the SV98 and M40.

sweet. I am the same way. I was a monster with my .50 cal in BC2, but in BF3 I just plan suck :grumpy:

I have the SV98 and I'll take the scope off, I think I might play tonight (or FORZA 4, not sure yet).

how are the iron sights?

sorry for the double post, I didnt' see this post ^

I've tried and (esp at long range) it seems like the bullet drop is not consistent. I have no idea how to adjust so I just give up and go back to another loadout.

One time there was a guy on the roof and I was sitting on the hill and I unloaded a clip on him with the SV98 and didn't get one hit marker on him, and it looked like it was going right into his chest.

Agree on the USAS to an extent, with frag rounds and extended mags it's just ridiculous to the point of unfair no doubt. That being said just like all shotguns the range is limited, if you're close to anyone with a shotty you're probably going down if they see you at the same time or before. The problem comes more with Rush that the choke-points force you in to tight areas on some maps which then allow the USAS in particular to just wreck. Mortars are also a big problem in Rush on more open maps because you simply can't stay in a decent position for more then a kill or so before a mortar round forces you to retreat from it.
 
I only had a problem with it on Rush, Conquest very little except the market map. In that alley it's pretty annoying if they hide behind some solid cover.

I'm not really into sniping, but the M98 and the M40 with pull straight bolt and 8x are about as perfect as you can get. Really enjoy popping people left and right

I'm half way to unlocking the M40.
 
The M40 is quiet good with an ACOG though it does take a while to unlock. With a straight pull bolt it'll wreck at medium range.
 
There was a guy last night tearing us a new one with the usas. I finally killed him and his buddy with the M249 and let the tea bagging commence.
 
If it was on Metro then I to got annihilated by him quite a few times. What annoyed me on Metro was how a guy was laying down behind a dead body by the third set of objectives at A i think with an 870. The one with the hallway.
 
All those guys were doing was laying prone in a corner with LMGs pointed right at the objective. I got a double kill with the SMAW at the end of that hallway and they were still right there waiting for us.
 
Yea I remember now it was that match I got 19k combat score because I revived so many people and got 51 kills if I remember correctly. I got the MCOM attacker ribbon last night on the highway level. I think I need 3 more ribbons.
 
Tehran highway is one of my favorite maps so far. Only problem is if you don't defend the first base its a lot harder to defend the other bases.
 
I like that map as attackers more than defenders surprisingly. You get a lot of vehicles and if you have tanks or IFVs with thermal optics you can do pretty well. If you have an engineer with you and a gunner who knows what their doing then your essentially unstoppable.
 
I still don't like vehicles. I'll hop in a chopper sometimes but usually just to get to objectives quicker. Tanks are to damn slow for my liking.

I tend to go ballistic and bipod on my M40 or an ACOG M39 for closer maps if I want to use Recon. I haven't got the straight bolt on the M40 yet, but on the SV98 it seemed ok but I found myself going back to bipod as I only really want to use a bolt action if I'm going to be a really long way out and play more as the class name suggests to give my team as many spots as I can (in conjunction with the MAV).
 
IFVs are pretty fast though. Helicopters I always screw up in by hitting a pole. On Damavand I was going 15-0 with the Z11W and at 10 tickets left was lining up to kill a mortar and hit a pole.

IFVs are still slow for me. I was doing ok in a heli on kharg island last night. I didn't kill a damn thing with the rockets though so I tried to road kill a few guys and put it into the ground hard. Killed a team mate and myself. That still doesn't top the time I spawned in a heli with someone else flying. We had the large one with full slots and the attack chopper next to us was full. The guy flying takes off and goes straight into the other chopper killing everyone involved. Damn near the whole team went down.

SKS is my "Best weapon". The ROF is really nice. On Tehran use that with a grip/IRNV and do the best you've ever done.
