The way I understand it from what I was told by "Manish, your chat representative from EA sports-It's in the game!" is:
You need an EA account online, that will attach itself to one of your PSN ID's or an Xbox one, or both, and a wii ID, and you can have multiple ID's attached to your one EA account.
To ensure no conflicts ever, it is better to have a new PSN ID when you start playing an EA game (it's in the game) and any EA game (it's in the game) you play after that will link the EA account (it's in the game) to your EA game (it's in the game) automatically.
For example, I have a friend who plays Tiger Woods, and he had no problem just getting a used copy of BF3, buying the online code at the PS Store, inpuuting and playing online, since his PSN ID was already linked to his EA account (it's in the game).
Myself I had to start fresh, because the ID that I had linked to EA was another one, which I didn't want to use, but by the time I had managed to get the original EA account (it's in the game) deleted and made a fresh one, the linx didn't work. IT DIDN'T LIKE MY EMAIL AS IT HAD SEEN IT BEFORE on my old account, which I had deleted. This necessitated a whole new ID, account, email etc....
So you will need a valid email account, so EA (sports- it's in the game) can send you bunf about their 🤬 , an ID that can be successfully linked to your EA account, that hasn't been unsuccessfully attempted to be linked to your EA account before (they're in the game), and an EA account that is all fresh and shiny, or has been being used with EA games for ages (they're in the game too), and has never even given you a problem.
Don't ask me why Battlelog is a problem, as I am not so stupid as to try and sign up for that.
Not suggesting that you lot are stupid, just know that if I try to do it, I'll get something wrong, and I am not going through another day of fixing EA shizzle.... -it's in the game.....
In short, I had a new email, with new password, a new EA account, with password, and a new PSN ID, with password and all the other 🤬 that has to go into your PS3 to get a new ID, before I could even download, install and successfully play BF3.
So my dream of simply being able to use the friends list I already had, went out of the window with EA's (sports- it's in the game) idea of how you should be simultaneously connected to three things when you play, took effect.
If you think I am adding a fourth dimension.........
