I played a round with the second unlockable SMG last night and it's far better with recoil although the stock iron sights are just awful like the FAMAS.

Why are all the guns coming with the big rifle scopes attached? Why in the heck would you ever need an SMG with that kind of scope?

That was my first taste of CQ too! What a piss take :lol: I got more points running around claiming flags in 30 min then the last few hours of Rush. Ok, I had 0/0 KD, but still!
 
Yup, all done, thanks, did you get the torch kill assignment with the bot?

Full matches are fun, unlike my intentional bottom of the list selections so there was less of a chance of getting shot while exchanging torch kills, and not to mention, 1 heli and 2 jets for vehicles is always better than 1att heli, 1scout heli, and 1 jet.... IMO

I like the hk53, I think the recoil is manageable, compared to my LMG of choice the PKP (I'm waiting for suppressor), but compared to the FAMAS, it's ok

Also with the 12x scopes, I think the did that so you can unlock the rest of the scopes without having to waste time with the 12x, I actually got 2 or 3 kills in a round with the 12x on the HK53.

The 93r was manageable in bc2, I actually platinumed it in bc2, but in BF3 the grouping is like a foot tall at about 10 ft distance, I went back to the 1911 supp. B/C I can barely hit anything farther than 10 ft away

I think I brought it because I forgot that we were bring jeeps, so if we needed a vehicle destroy, we could use the bot. They you jumped in the jeep and I was like "mm, ok". :lol:

Still, it was valuable as I got to learn something new about CQ :D.
 
Oh, ok, the bot is to hard to control to me to do that, I was wondering what you were doing, but let you go ahead, I figured it might have gotten the assignment done and you just wanted to torch a vehicle "in style" :lol:
 
I'm gonna have to get in on this repair tool workaround. I don't think I'm ever gonna be able to do it the right way. I haven't even managed the kill one yet. :grumpy:

👍 Last night I had to quit BF3 entirely to get my weapons back for Rush even. And once or twice in a Rush match, all the sounds except for my gun vanished too. Makes tracking down enemy extremely hard when you can't hear them!

Sound is buggy some of the time yes. Very annoying when you can't hear the lock-on signal. Once it was my fault, only had the front channel enabled and the lock-on signal is on the center or back channel :dopey:

Missing your weapon is worse than missing a sound though. hard to aim that way :yuck:

As I need to redo it - lets do what Roush and I did. Find a quiet CQ server, one of us switches team, we take jeeps out to an out of the way spot and repair too each other's jeep 👍. We used Caspian Border, and it worked well once one of us could switch teams.
 
Yeah, I'm effing done with Asian servers. Players play like such bitches. Constant bombardment of explosives to kill people. Rarely guns.
 
I might need a recon class to help me out with thee mortar kit please when i unlock it 👍 some good points will be on offer

Edt: just did one of the longest shots I've done with a sniper SV98 marksman

Managed to finish all the assignments a few days ago, favourite weapons are the MG36 and L85 :drool:

Anyone up for some games in the Rush game mode tonight? Love having a full squad for it, makes the game mode so much better. Need to be on PS3, I'll probably be starting a game in about 2-3 hours. Maybe we could get 2 squads going and find an almost-empty server to play on. We'd probably be up against each other but it would sure be fun :D Post here if you're interested.
 
Squad Deathmatch is not a fun game mode, at least trying to get wins alone it is not. I somehow managed to get on a really good team my first four games and won my first four. Since those four, I have not even really been close to a fifth win.
 
SDM is a terrible game mode. The other 3 teams are always spawning all around you and you get shot from all directions. I've got my 5 SDM wins and I won't be playing it again.

I might try and play later if any of the other PS3 regulars are down for a challenge.

Squad Deathmatch would only be fun if you stack the deck in your favor, i.e. form a squad of three or four, but that makes for a terrible time for the rest of the people in the game. I am not sure why DICE decided it was a good idea to include a BMP in the game mode, but that was a horrible idea.

Sweet, just make sure you have your 10 repairs, so the kill will complete you Assignment 1 and then your next repair tool action will count for the next one.

Can someone outline how Hardcore differs from normal. Yesterday it was very much "shoot enemy with DAO twice, get killed by M4 burst". :rolleyes:
 
Just won my fifth game of Squad Deathmatch. I found a server that only required ten kills to win the game. I tore up six people in the match and got the fifth and final win needed for the Assignment. The only way I play that terrible game mode again is if I am playing with two or three other people. Now I just need 19 more M320 kills to unlock the L85A2.
