Would clan tags work? Very rarely do i see clan members on opposite teams. And if i do its never for more than a round.

So, today playing rush on Damavand Peak, my team are attacking and at the last 2 MCOMs. The first one goes down, but the second one (the one with all the rocks around it), is being guarded like crazy by the defenders , including a guy in a T90, and we can't get anywhere close to the objective.

Anyway, we've got around 18 of our tickets left and it's starting to look like we won't make it. I decide to spawn in on my squad-mates, who just so happens to right in front of the T90. He takes a hit, but I survive and decide to hide by the tank and see what happens. :dopey: Instead of putting a 125mm shell in my face, the driver gets out, attempts to shoot me himself, only for me to end up stealing the tank!

Anyway, he Tries to RPG me, but I kill him, as well as all the guys around the base (With my team shooting rockets at me not knowing what's going on ). We arm the MCOM, I get a couple more kills, and we win with around 10 tickets left. While not as awesome as some other stories I've seen, I thought it was pretty cool.

PDW-R is a beast, got 31 kills with it in my first round. Got the combat efficiency medal too 👍

@blitz187 : are we ready for some sqtm, i have only 3 to beat, but i am willing to go further :-)

Yes I love when guys do that. Baffles me that they can't figure out all I need to do is press circle and I'm in. My longest killstreak was because of that, he had blown up my tank and I'd jumped out (I was at about 14 kills straight) when him and his gunner jumped out to shoot me on foot? I jumped in the tank and killed them both and off I went. I think I had 27 straight.

@Bevo:
Regarding larger than 4 parties.

Try setting a couple of servers as favorites . Most likely you will find one of these empty next time you log on. Get your friends together and join one of the empties.

Make sure to have everyone favorite the same servers.
———

Tanks, sometimes I accidently jump out of vehicles when trying to switch to gunner seat.

Ill hop into a vehicle and set the gun to a side and cruise around bumping driver/gunner seats.
Works well in jeeps hummers buggies and boats.

Can you mark favorite servers on the xbox? And whats with the xbox having these non official servers that never let you join. Everytime I have tried to join a server that doesn't say dice on it, it doesn't let me login?

edit: got my xbox today :)

What's up with the skill rating on battlelog? I was on it about two days ago and it said my score was ~410 but I checked yesterday and it was 56... I look again just now and it's up to 366 again. I know how it's worked out but you would think it wouldn't fluctuate that much considering the amount of kills/deaths I've had.

Bevo, not sure about xbox but ps3 you can. Not many of my friends play bf so I havent tried this method, but your point makes alot of sense and got me thinking.

Not sure about those servers, I cant figure out how to customize servers. Dice went too lite on the spawn tickets for conquest mode on consoles IMO. Should be 500+.

You were just like Chewbacca in the AT-ST in Return of the Jedi.

I was playing Rush on Damavand Peak last night as well. Unfortunately we were against a good team. I held back as a sniper to spot enemies and SOFLAM the helicopters but nobody did anything. Despite losing, the highlight of the game for me was sniping the pilot of the helicopter and watching it free fall to earth. When the guy sniping and spotting ends up #1 on your team, you're doing something wrong.

The skill rating is crap. I've been in the 300s before and after a session of non-stop winning and getting MVP or MVP 2 ribbons it went down to like 250.

It's tonk basically.

I was 330, had 1 attrocious round (my 3 bad luck, 4 knifings round) and went down to 50. Then I had one great points round on a quiet server and was back up to 250. No eyed deer.

Fixed ;)

SOFLAM is utterly useless, as it's all well and nice setting it up but if my dumbass random team mates are all running Support and dropping ammo 2 yards from deployment, it's completely useless :grumpy:

I took the AH1Z Viper off of the roof at Sharqi today, and headed straight for the Havoc that was heading straight for me.
I lock on, deploy heat seekers, he strafes, flares, misses the missiles, starts firing at me, I flare, he misses, then we head straight at each other firing the rockets.
I start to strafe right and none of his rockets are impacting on me at all, then suddenly I die.
Not the Viper; me. :grumpy:

Strange, I thought.
So I wait on the spawn screen, the Viper re-spawns, I jump in, and head for Mr Havoc.
This time, I've acquired a gunner accomplice.
We start to lock on, which alerts him to our presence, he turns to engage, as my first heat seeker hits him.
Then he starts with the rockets, and again I strafe.
I deploy flares, even though he hasn't fired anything heat seeking, and suddenly, I die.
Not the Viper; me. :grumpy:
"OK THEN" I say to no-one in the room.
I watch him go off and attack the construction site, and I spawn on the RU deployment.
I start to head towards the TV station, in order to clear out the forces occupying the rooftop and regain the Viper.
Just as I get towards the ladder leading up to the TV station flag, the Havoc passes overhead in flames, and disappears into the sea, on the other side of the grass hill.
I decide to creep round to the back door, and try to regain the objective quietly, someone from my team has joined me at this point, but is heading for the ladder instead.
As I round the corner towards the back door of the TV station, I am knifed from behind, and my dogtags yanked by who else but the Havoc pilot, who has somehow mysteriously jumped from his burning chopper, swum out of the sea, run the full height of the hill, down the other side, jumped the sandbags and caught me up; all in 3 or 4 seconds.
As I watch the killcam, I see that not only has he managed that, but he's also killed the team mate who was heading in the other direction, roughly 25 feet from where he's knifed me, again I reiterate: within 3 or 4 seconds.....

I rage quitted.
I have no idea how you do that.
Neither killing me twice without hitting me once whilst in the chopper, nor carrying his body across 100 feet of land to two different knife kills in less than 5 seconds.
How do you do that?

The other rant I would like to have is this:

I waited "You are currently 1 of 1 in the game queue" for 8 minutes (yes I checked the clock) to get into a game earlier, which then lasted for 7 minutes as none of the team decided to take one objective once on Strike at Karkand.

The servers are being a right royal pain in the ass all week, and it's only Tuesday.

Grrrrrrrr.......

:irked:👍

Skill rating is completely player vs player based and is how teams are balanced.

Basically say I shoot a guy that is higher level than me. I may get 10 skill points added to me. If I shoot a guy lower level than me then maybe I get 2 or 3 points. If I'm killed by a higher level guy then I may lose 3 points or if I'm killed by lower level I'll lose 10 points.....

I don't know the actual numbers but it does vary depending on how much higher or lower level the person is you killed or were killed by. I know that wasn't worded well but I'm not going to bother editing it :p That was explained by a dev on Battlelog at some point.

I have 426 skill right now lol. Dumb system if you ask me but whatever works.

I know how it works, I'm (and the others) are just saying how it doesn't work well.

A squad with one of each kit (Medic, Engineer /w Javelin, Support and Recon /w SOFLAM = OMGWTFBBQOWNAGE).

In theory, of course :p

A squad with one of each kit (Medic, Engineer /w Javelin, Support and Recon /w SOFLAM = OMGWTFBBQOWNAGE).
That would work if people actually play their role, which has a 0.0000000000000000000000000000000001% chance of happening by just squading up with randoms. It may work if we get organized on here. I say let's put your theory to the test. I call Support.

If that is how it is based, it is completely idiotic. A Colonel can really only hope to have mean-decreasing skill as it will take 5x as many kills as deaths if they are facing lower ranking players, which on average, they will, being colonels and all. Excluding awards of course.

Story about snakes and ninja enemies
Could it be lag accounting for the end bit where he off'd you and then clocked your squaddie?

All this talk of recon makes me realise I really do not like the recon class in BF3. Which is weird, considering all I played in BC2 was recon. But then again, BC2 recon had the VSS snaiperskaya special which was like the FAMAS, but 10x better, and it had motion sensor grenades, which were about a gazillion times better then T-UGS which sounds like it is powered by 10 hard drives from the mid-90's.

:D

@Blitz187: Sorry I had to leave so sudden, but i'll be online tonight earlier. We should play SQDM on hardcore, cause it's much easier to get a kill

I call dibs on Recon :D

We could get more than 4 people all communicating one one team as well. We'll need everyone on the same team (which is an achievement in its own right) and then everyone set their VOIP to Team instead of Squad and we could all own :D

Now worries, we won the two rounds after that though :sly:... I went rambo and ended up 27-10 or something playing with Sureboss in the match after you left... Still need 3 wins to complete that assignment! If I'm on tonight we'll play again on hardcore. 👍

Mike, pity we only got one game together, my game has been freezing heaps lately (about 6 times in the last day) so I deleted the game data and Im waiting for all the patches etc to dl again, then on for the reinstall. Hopefully this will be the end of my freezing. 👎
