Few more observations (in bullet points) from 1st day of patch:
- first and foremost, crashes mainly occur when you are in Alpha Squad!! Remember to check which squad you're in at the beginning if you don't want to hard reset your PS3
- foregrip is so nerfed that it is absolutely crucial NOT to have it equipped if you want to engage in gunfights at distances longer than 5 meters
- ditto for suppressor , you won't believe the bullet spread with it
- get used to seeing loads of people using heavy barrel and flash suppressor
- flares don't disturb the lock on but if you fire heat seekers after the target deployed flares they still won't connect
- tanks are very easy to destroy even with reactive armor equipped
- choppers are absolutely beastly now if you just stay "below radar" , their unguided missiles completely dominate infantry and 1 strafe=1 dead tank (without gunner I might add)
- INRV got buffed , almost as good as after release of the game
- I wrote about it yesterday but since most people don't know about it yet you can use it to your advantage, Pistols are deadly at medium to long ranges , D E A D L Y!
- initial recoil on many guns makes them very hard to use while firing in bursts
- repair tool kills enemy vehicles in nano second
- AS VAL maybe has extended mags but because of suppressor is completely non efficient as a weapon
- some good guns after patch: AN94, G3A3, SG553 , A91, USAS+buckshot, M60 , RPK (with extended mags it has 200 bullets!!)
- grenade launcher is nerfed badly BUT hand grenades are incredibly buffed (grenade perk comes very handy!)
- 1 javelin (without laser painting) = 1 disabled Tank = 1 dead jeep
Overall I'm 50/50 on the patch, I'll probably get used to it after some time but at the moment I'm bit disappointed with how easy it is to take out tanks (especially with nerf to repair tool).
