Incoming Battlefield 3 Server Updates

Updates to Battlefield 3 servers on both consoles and PC are on their way.

Tomorrow, April 19th, starting at 10:00am UTC, Battlefield 3′s game servers will be updated one by one throughout the span of a couple of hours. Anyone on a server during a restart will be kicked but the online multiplayer will still be available despite a few hiccups. This updated will address a number of gameplay bugs introduced in the latest title update.

Change list according to the Battlelog forums:

- Fixed AA missiles not doing damage to vehicles moving at very high speeds
- Fixed TV Missile doing much more damage than it should (it is no longer a 1-hit kill)
- Tweaked tank armor strength
- MAV elevatoring fix, round 2; proning on the MAV will now disable it
- Game server stability fixes

Yea is it me or am i getting destroyed by the Darts now lol.

Lately I've been playing with the AN-94. Starting to really like this thing. waiting to unlock the holo to see if i like it over the rds for this gun.
 
So I bought this game today for pc and have spent the last 2 hours installing and downloading the 4.5GB update. That is ridiculously large, all I want to do is play the game :lol:.

I think that Comma Rose is only reserved for PC... Or did I miss something in that HUGE list for the patch?
 
They've said that the Commo Rose might be implemented into consoles at a later date. Its not concrete though.
 
Well it's clearly not if they're just re-starting servers and you're not having to patch the game on your machine. :p

Edit: Could well be that the tanks have different damage online compared to in SP, thus ^.
 
Tempted to shelve the game until the next patch - the M26 DART is the new spam weapon of choice. Had some matches at Metro and Seine where it was crawling with them 👎. Top two killers had 78 and 69 kills with it :rolleyes:.

Plus I had that stupid "red plug freeze" issue again. Easiest pair of tags some dude will ever have.

My PC can barely play Minecraft, so I won't be picking it up for the PC anytime soon :lol:

I'm wondering if this tank fix is only for DICE servers and the those privatel/purchased servers won't change. hmm.

It's up and running now so I might get around to adding you later. I have absolutely no friend base on PC, having played all my fps and that on PS3 :/.

To give you an idea of how cheap that $20 is to me, I payed $65 AUD from a retailer for it yesterday, and our dollar is currently stronger than yours :lol:. Mind you, I didn't shop around.

Now don't hold me to this but I'm fairly sure these aren't the most legitimate cdkeys out there. Infact I'm fairly sure all the sites selling them that cheap are about 99% of the time the Russian version.

Depends on who you buy from. That's why it is key to research a seller before purchasing them. You can read customer reviews as well.

I can't speak for other web-sites, but as far as cdkeyhouse.com is concerned it is 100% legitimate, legal, and NOT stolen keys.

After purchasing a key from them they send you a photo of the cd key from physical case (if applicable) or if it is a digital license they just send you the key.

Buying Russian versions is typically a lot cheaper. All the customer has to do is install the English language pack, or install the software in English if it allows for it.

I, friends, and family have purchased keys from cdkeyhouse.com. I can speak for their legitimacy.

Is that site legit? I want this game for PC as at the moment it is unplayable on consoles. Here the game is still $90 on origin and the cheapest I can find it in store is $80. I think thatll be about $25 after exchange rate conversion which is a mighty deal if you ask me.

EDIT: Tree'd several times over. Thanks Zoology, I bought it from them just now.

EDIT EDIT: Oh wow, 15gb download, plus a 5gb patch? Thats my data cap for the month gone. Plus I downloaded the latest PCars build last week and that was 3gb... Oh bugger.

Ya, I really despise data caps. Will you even be able to play? ha.

Make sure you follow their instructions with installing the English pack. It should be on the support page. Any problems send me a pm or shoot their customer service an email. They respond relatively fast.
 
Just checked my cap, been upgraded to 50gb a month, and it renewed a week ago yesterday, so I should be all good.

Yeah I checked that out, seems pretty easy.
Thanks for that link, I was actually about to leave my house to go and pay $80 for it, this game is infuriating me at the moment on PS3.

@Vexd: great matches yesterday. To bad we lost all of them :-). If we played another match, I am sure we would have won LOL. We weren't focused on the objective,but more on fun. And the last 15 min of last match we showed them how to play and capture the flags.

I won't be touching no ones chopper tonight he,he,he

Where was that last server located, cause I had a lag!?

Tonight I'll be online (around 21h CET).

The AS VAL was better before the patch that changed how suppressors affect the guns.

Although I've noticed the P90 seems to be more potent than I remember it being pre-patch.

Since the server update I haven't experienced any freezes. Had two just hours before the server update yesterday.

Edit: Another note on the AS VAL. It works much better when fired in bursts.
