UPDATE: This is from a live chat that I just had. We ARE getting are stats back and and it was caused because of maintenance. Maintenance is almost over so everything will be back to normal according to what EA just told me.
You are now ready to chat with Vinay.
Vinay: Thanks for contacting EA Help! My name is Vinay how may I help you?
you: I've been having some problems with Battlefield 3, with ranks, XP, unlocks and other stats not saving. I've read around the web that thousands of other players are also having these issues on multiple platforms. I've read that you guys at EA are aware of this and it is a technical glitch. Is it true that after this glitch is fixed, that we will get all our stats, unlocks, XP and ranks back?
Vinay: Hello.
Vinay: Many players are coming with this issue. Server maintenance is causing this problem.
Please wait for some time and see the stats, we are sorry for the inconvenience.
you: So server maintenance is causing this. Will we get everything back after this period is over?
you: Is there an ETA as to when this maintenance period will be completed?
Vinay: Yes, it is about to finish, yes you would get back your stats, I appreciate your patience.
you: Ok, that's great! That's what I've been waiting to hear. Now, I've also been experiencing some extreme lag in-game while in a match. This has not happened before. Is this also maintenance related?
Vinay: Which platform (Xbox 360, PC, PS3) are you playing the game on?
you: This is on the PS3 console. I've read that this is also an issue on all 3 platforms, though not as common as the stats issue.
Vinay: Okay, please try these steps, it would help you-
you: Ok.
Vinay: 1. From the XMB (Cross Media Bar) menu, select Network.
2. Select Internet Browser.
3. After the Internet Browser appears, press the Triangle button.
4. Select Tools on the Options menu.
5. Select Delete Cookies or Delete Cache then select Yes to confirm.
you: I will try this. Thank you for that. Is there anything else you wish to share with the Battlefield Community about the stats issue?
