I love the silencer and put it on almost every gun but the Scar-L cannot have it. It kills its stopping power (no pun intended).

The best setup for the SCAR-L is to choose another weapon.

Dear sirs, I implore you to reconsider! I use the SCAR-L with the silencer and a bipod (yes, really) and it works just fine, but I do tend to stand back so I don't get outgunned close up...

Lately I've been using the M416 for that assignment but I really don't like it. I've been using it with a silencer, holo and grip and I find it to be thoroughly dull.

Ah... I use silencers on all of my guns too, with the exception of sniper rifles...

Well it's not that bad.... from a reasonable distance.

SCAR-L is a medium-long range AR.

I've used it for medium ranges, besides, you dont often see a person far away from you on a console...

Had the worst comeback to BF3 today. I joined an SQDM room on CQ maps. As soon as I join a squad, one of them TK's me. I respawn, TK him back, and revive him; at this point, his friend, also a medic, kills me, revives and keeps killing me. Now, I figure, they came together as friends IRL, so I decide to get both of then kicked. I spawn, but no need to anger them, as they are hell bent on killing me, so they keep shooting.. I spawn again, and get TK'd. This keeps happening until they are banned (5 TK's=Banned from server).

I send them a PM on PSN saying : "Haha, you idiots!"

Now, before you jump at me saying, : "why did you continue the TK?" or "why didn't you ignore them?!" Ill say this; when someone is running after you with a SPAS hell-bent on killing you, and his friend, the medic doesn't revive you, you know for certain that that TK was not an accident...

I would have murdered both of them and blown them up with C4

THRT, use the derogatory term "faggot" again in any post on the entirely of GTP and you'll be taking a vacation.

Simple as.

Right.... AUP. Won't happen again; and it's 'entirety'....

And risk getting kicked/banned?

Given the context, you're in no position to correct anyone.

Dig yourself deeper.

Ok, you win....

Aaaaanyways

Does anyone know the most succesful shooting position with an AS VAL? I usually crouch, but because my head is lower and an easy target the gun has failed me in numerous situations....

Do different positions have different advantages?

Do different positions have different advantages?

Well for example, the AS VAL has horrible bullet deviation while moving, so you have to stand still and fire.... as for the firing positions... crouching helps with accuracy as opposed to standing. Prone is by far the best (for most guns). But I was just asking to get us back on topic..
Crouching and prone make your head an easier target as they are lower therefore the shooter doesn't have to aim up.

This thread as gone to the dogs recently, I've noticed I don't feel like posting or contributing to it much anymore. Its seems the friendly mature bunch who used to populate it before have been pushed away by an influx of childish immature "trollers". It seems all the discussion is about these days is griefing people, badmouthing players with a higher rank than their own or complete and utter childish drivel. Then to top it off, a respected senior member of the community gets spoken to like rubbish when he quite correctly lets someone become aware that there choice language isn't welcome. I sure hope when BF4 comes out that its thread will go back to the respectable pleasant thread that this used to be, Not a clone of the battlelog forums like this one has become.

Every discussion has it's ups and downs, but the best way to steer a discussion back to a satisfactory point simply ignore the nonsense (and report, don't entertain it) and continue on as necessary. 👍

Had a VERY weird game on Wake Island conquest the other day.

My squad went around tearing it up. Capped all the objectives. Score was around 500 to 200, us winning. Then the enemy ticket count started dropping RIDICULOUSLY fast. By 30 tickets a second. Within ten seconds, we won.

Glitch? Hackers?

Nice. Low ticket round I assume.

Yes, 100% ticket count.

You were playing Conquest Assault. When the team captures all the flags from the enemies, the ticket count drops much faster until they hit 0 or you eliminate all remaining soldiers that are alive from that team. Since you were playing Wake Island, that means you were the US team.

Now this is a game I'm happy with.

Weren't winning until 35 tickets left. Started the round with an 8 kill streak. A streak that took me all the way across the map.

Close game. Nail-biters like that which go back and forth make victory oh so satisfying. I see you were using the QBB Carbine. What do you think of it? I've got Master dog tags on almost all carbines except that one and find I really like it or can't stand it. What attachments do you use?

It's fantastic. One of the best in the class, in my opinion. I've got it set up with Kobra, Heavy Barrel and Laser Sight.

You almost got all of it: The last thing that has to happen is that the squad leaders have to die (if I'm not mistaken). Once your "mobile spawn point" is gone, then you get the massive drain. I could be wrong, but that's how I remember it.

I love that weapon, That's one of the 28 weapons I've got over 1000 kills. So easy to handle and really accurate. Pretty cool that you can have the heavy barrel with a laser pointer to, so you can have a heavy barreled weapon with favourable hipfire Especially when you factor in the fact its a bullpup weapon aswell.

I'm not sure squad members play a part in it. I think once the death occurs, you're stuck on the spawn screen. I've never been on that end of the battle so I'm not sure.

Plus the tickets drain fast enough that it wouldn't make a difference.

As far as I know it's when no enemy player is left alive and none can spawn. Even with 1 player you can continue the fight, I've been that guy and capped a flag to keep the round going without the massive ticket drain. In other words the tickets crumble as soon as one team is put in a guaranteed victory/defeat situation.

Wake Island has a particularly reliable way of keeping your team in a CQA game, swim right across from A to E or similar (or vice versa). Once you only hold one flag you know the entire enemy team is coming so break off and slip by in plain sight, nobody expects someone to have the patience or stupidity to swim such a gap. If you get away from the coast before the real mayhem kicks off you can buy your team precious time or a flag.

Interesting... I've got to play that game mode a lot more. It's just that what happened to gogatrs— well, what he witnessed— happened to me too.... I just don't understand how a 500% Ticket game can end in 8:32 minutes of gameplay. And this kept on happening over and over and over again. This 'glitch' or, however you wan't to call it, always favored the opposite team; keep in mind this is regular conquest.
