Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - PS3, PC, 360

Got it yesterday... and all I can say is OMG!!!! They've been watching MW2 for sure and blended the best aspects of that game into BF.... and it works beautifully!!! Single-player is non-stop action and totally different then the first one... Graphics look very crisp and clean, although on some of the cutscenes the backgrounds are sometimes a bit pixelated.... Other than that its a 👍 for me.... I'm hooked and MP is top notch too... Conquest felt so nice to play and the maps are done very well too... Basically they took Bad Company and improved it times 10...

-edit: and I totally forgot to mention you can let buildings collapse in on themselves.... really nice feature when you got a house full of enemies... 👍

We were finally able to play the multiplayer in Bad Company 2 last night and its awesome. We like Conquest mode. Helicopters, snowmobiles, sea doos, tanks, hummers,quads, fully destructible environments and buildings, and pretty much any everything else. Just chaotic war fun! Might end up buying it now. Much more fun than COD by a longshot.
I also made some more progress with the campaign. Its pretty good.

We were finally able to play the multiplayer in Bad Company 2 last night and its awesome. We like Conquest mode. Helicopters, snowmobiles, sea doos, tanks, hummers,quads, fully destructible environments and buildings, and pretty much any everything else. Just chaotic war fun! Might end up buying it now. Much more fun than COD by a longshot.
I also made some more progress with the campaign. Its pretty good.

I agree x 1000.... the MP is amazing in this game and lag free.... very balanced as well.. you dont get the feeling that someone has an edge by using a certain "perk" or "specialization" in this case... and Conquest is just awesome... Open map + vehicles + taking over bases = Utter Chaos & fun of course !!

I cant wait to unlock my torch for the engineer so I can repair tanks. I blew up at least 3 tanks last night. Thats what I have always done in games with vehicles. I love blowing them up.
I love the ability to pick any spawn point I want. I was running with Heather and when I died I could spawn right behind her to help in the battle. Or if I wanted away from the action I could just pick a different spawn point.

Yup, thats why I said earlier that this games takes the best aspects of MW & BF and blends them into one! 👍 Great game IMO and its going to get played a lot in the near future by me... I can assure you that

I am very tempted to buy it. Heather and I still have the rental for a few days and if we are still having fun, then I will have to get this for sure. I hated MW2 so this is exactly what I have been waiting for. Insane chaotic battles with land and air vehicles.

Oh does this game have mines for the engineer??? Battlefield 2 Modern Combat had mines to blow up the tanks. I loved those.

Yup, you have to open them... Go to multiplayer and check weapons and gadgets... then you can see whats available... but mines are there... you just have to open them...

They were in the first Bad Company but under a different kit... I think the Demolition kit had the mines in the first one... now its the engineer

I didnt give the first games multiplayer much of a chance at all so it looks like I missed out on the mines in that one. BC2 is a lot better for sure.

I would like to echo the fact that the online is fantastic. I had only one match with a little lag but other than that it runs flawless.

It is rather entertaining adjusting tactics coming from a game like mw2. The maps are so huge and dynamic that you can never feel truly safe from a sniper ( that's what i aim for personally ) The vehicles, the classes, the fantastic maps, but most of all THE SOUNDS are spot on. What a great game, and definitley has the BEST MP element from any game on the market.

That's great you play with your Fiance, My wife and I play online together and enjoy it. Especially when the kids are at school, we have been tearing it up on Battlefield 1943 as our own squad the past few months. My son and I got her to try COD MW2 but it was too Intense and a bit difficult for her to get used to. We started her on the campaign in BBC2 and aligned the controls similiar to 1943 and she likes it. Shortly we will be trying the online together after I purchase a second copy.👍

I havent played MAG... But this game is If you liked the first one, you'll LOVE this one... They (Dice) just took the first installment, polished it and improved it a LOT... MP works flawless and the battles are intense... 👍 If I were you i'd definitely consider this one...

My copy came through the letterbox about 5 minutes ago, a day later than it should have done, which is great because im at work later and most of Saturday. I wish I had booked the weekend off now. But at least I don't have to wait for it to be released anymore.

Me too, but for some reason it will not allow me to go online 'because of parental control restrictions'. Firstly, im 17 and the game is a 16 here, secondly I participated in the Beta and demo and can play BC1 online no problem and thirdliy all the parental controls are off. So I cant play online or redeem my VIP code. Big mistake EA! 🤬

We spent a good solid 3 hours playing this multiplayer last night playing Conquest mode. What a blast. We won every single game besides the first one that we joined. I unlocked my repair torch, anti tank mines, and several other items including some gun that I love. I must have destroyed at least 15 tanks last night and repaired another 15. I honesly have not had this much fun in a multiplayer game in a very long time. And yes BCBC2 is MUCH better than MW2 by a lonshot.

I am still seriously thinking about buying this game. It will keep me busy until May. With Crackdown 2, Halo Reach beta, and Lost Planet 2 coming in May, I feel that will be the end of BFBC2.

I had the same.. Playing Conquest last night I started out bad, but then I met a player in my random squad that was a GREAT teammate and kept spawning on my position. Added him right away... But we were on the forest map... not the jungle one (with the water) and we went on a mission to capture all flags... I was an engineer and he was assault, we would go search for strategic places at each base and hang around killing everyone before taking the flags... The funny thing was that he kept throwing out ammo boxes so I was able to barrage the enemy with non-stop grenades and missiles from the RPG... We used these tactics at each base, staying together and sneaking in as close as we could to each base before attacking... I had his back and he had mine, If we took a vehicle I'd fix it and he would guard it... Before we commenced attack he would chuck out two ammo boxes while we were behind cover so it worked out great.... Managed to get a couple 3000+ games with him like that.. 👍 This game rocks...

She kept healing me and I kept blowing up and healing tanks. At one point there were 3-4 people in a tank just wrecking the other team. I hopped out at least 4 times to heal the tank then got back in. It was epic!! lol I also forgot to mention we were in the top squad almost every single game. I was the top player a few times.

On the other hand I am afraid that this game would be much more difficult and a lot less fun without a really good squad mate. FF13 comes out next week so I am having a very hard time deciding if I should buy this or not. It would be hard finding squadmate as good as heather. And playing without a squad would not be as fun. Is it fairly easy to squad up with other people???

This game with a team mate is so much more rewarding and you get so much more done... There's nothing that irritates me more when youre on a roll in a tank, having a random gunner with you, only to have him drive away with YOUR tank while youre trying to fix it.... I dont understand.... Its a TEAM effort and theres no "I" in team...

-edit: OOps missed the pairing up bit... Yeah its easy.. if you play a random game before it starts it asks you if you want to be in a squad or not... Then if you choose yes it will put you in the first squad available... sometimes there isnt one... but most of the time there is...

There's nothing that irritates me more when youre on a roll in a tank, having a random gunner with you, only to have him drive away with YOUR tank while youre trying to fix it.... Well , atleast you and I like it a lot... I wonder if BF will be able to pull over some players from CoD? I also wonder how the rest of the people getting it will react next to ones that already have... Almost done here at work... cant wait to go home...

I've heard this happen before with people playing on a sub-account, despite all the parental controls being right. Until they fix it (and I doubt they will, because I think it's deliberate), I think the only thing to do is play with a master account.

I hope they do, ive posted on the official feedback forums and will keep pestering them about it. If they cannot change it or fix the problem for a good reason i'll just make another account with the age above 18 so I can play online.
I did quickly go online earlier with the master account and it was so awesome, hopefully if it is a problem EA will get it sorted soon because i'd really like to play online with people from GTP
