To anyone who has the 12x sniper scope:

Does the accuracy improve with this perk? Is the bullet drop the same?

I believe the bullet drop is the same, accuracy doesn't just magically get better. What it does do is make the target clearer, so at distance it's easier to judge the drop I find, once you adjust to the different zoom.

I got the M1 last night after the update... I have BF 1943 as well and it classed me as veteran after the update last night... :D Pretty good gun actually...
 
I have nothing of previous BF games, it's kind of annoying that there's no way to ever get it without buying other games, let alone 3 of them I've been lead to believe. So on that basis I'll pass, it's not like I'm struggling with what I have.

I know right, they should make them available in different ways. Its pretty much a coincidence I have BF1943. Played it for a month or two non-stop then it got a bit boring because of the limited map size and no new maps came out. Youre not really missing anything anyway by not having that gun... :p I tried it out last night, but went straight back to my trusty M249 or XM8 after 1 round... I did have a lot of fun using the Thompson M1A1 last week... not super accurate, but its got mad dropping power and a high rate of fire.. 👍 The accuracy is also compensated by using the SMG weapons training perk...
 
So where to enter VIP code? I have PSN account located in Slovenia where I don't have an access to PS Store. So it is better to enter it for example in UK account where I have access to PS Store for DLC?

I think that would be better... but make sure you do it in-game... not from the XMB in the PSN store... but you will need access to the PSN store in order to DL stuff and buy things... so it would probably be best if you used the account with access...

You don't need to own BF games. I don't and have the m1 (not tested yet).
simply download BF heros, and other BF demos (3total) to your pc, than login in into the games (create accounts) and then register to veteran. and voila m1garand to you.

Hope that they don't cut out the demos if eveyone does this.

I dont remember off the top of my head... but when youre in the BFBC2 menu and go to store I think it asks you then... otherwise it says on the piece of paper with the code where you need to enter it.
 
Try and go in to the store on the main menu and it'll prompt you to enter your code. It needs to be typed as it is on the code. All capitals and all hyphens.

So can't wait to get on this on-line, enjoying Single Player, might get on tonight.

So in theory, BF Heroes (which I've already done) along with the BF2142 and BF2 demos are all I need? I may just go ahead and do them now, I mean if it's free, why not?

Sa-weet, I'm on that now, big downloads but again it's free and I'm in no rush so I am prepared to wait. It'll be nice having an old friend in my hands to kill with, haven't used a Garand in a long time on any game.

Side note: So long as I don't have to actually play the game, my laptop will howl in pain if I attempt games on it.

Edit: Has the Veterans site been down for ages now or is it just me? I've been trying for almost a week just to get on it to no avail.

No you have to play them but only for like 5 minutes max. The veteran site has been down and when they had the my soldier link at the new bfbc2 website you could use that... not sure how you would do it now.

Less than 100 kills to my 2nd platinum star.
 
Would be picking up a 120GB Slim tomorrow and a copy of the game :)

Hopefully, ill join the fun soon enough.
 
What is the best way to get higher ranks? I played online for +3h and Im only 3rd rank, 180 kills.

It takes a while :) once you start getting higher ranks you'll start opening patches which are worth 5000 or 10000 points... then it'll go a bit quicker... until then you just have to hang in there... 👍
 
Sorry, off topic but be warned, excesive BF BC2 can have adverse side effects on your "real" life LOL

you ps3 fighters got the m1. Bastards. On Pc it is still not available. and i love the m1 so much. Fav. weapon in all MOH. Hope to get it soon.

@Dragonistic: your pc is alright , the game don't require a lot on pc. + there are at least one demo on psn. BFBC1

@tomaz: yes it is sucky on the beginning 'cause you just get owned. For my it worked out around level 4. so there is little way to go to really start it of. And for the beginning stay in one class. So you upgrade weapon,gadgets,..

After Kratos having me in a headlock for these past few days i must admit, althought it is an EPIC masterpiece of a game i couldn't help but contemplate my return to BFBC2.

It's been a few days but i will be back with a vengeance :) Looking forward to unlocking that 12x sniper scope :)

Actually you're right, they are a somewhat rubbish. I guess the quote was mainly based upon the stereotypes back in the day... specially WWII :)

BTW, ordered my limited copy on eBay (BC2)... won't be here until next week since it is the weekend :scared: but i guess i got GOW3 to keep me busy for the moment! :dopey:

I personally feel that hardcore mode is better for getting points. I played a full conquest match in normal and came first with 950 points. I then jumped to hardcore and in a shorter match scored twice the points. It'll take a while getting used to it but once you do I think you'll prefer it.

EDIT WTF the sigg-o-matic stats thing hasn't worked for me in three days.
 
I hate being put on teams with lone wolves.....i think i've won a match or two since this morning..I don't have a clue as to why people don't spot enemies (press select). No squads, no ammo re-plenish, no health boxes. it's like they are playing (sigh) COD.

So much more fun to play when you are on the winning team, or at least in a good battle, rather than a massacre.
 
Yeah it's nice being in a squad willing to work together but it also sucks when you're ALWAYS squadded and other people want to play with you. You feel kinda bad for never playing with some people.

EDIT: My game win/loss ratio is 1.38. Not bad.
 
If my squad ain´t no good i change game or squad... But i often got good squads on random matches. Just rocked a DM 25000pts 42 kills 18 deaths and a squad that worked perfect together with 4 different soldier types...

@Tomaz: Try DM and stay with your squad and once you begin earning medals it goes quite fast


I hope Dice will also throw in some nice new gadgets sometime. Eager to see the new maps on 30th
