Which of the historic race cars (Ferrari 330P4, Jag XJ13, Ford Mark IV) are the best all around? I would do a poll, but I'm on my iPhone, so I can't make one. If you make a choice, please include reasoning why it may be better then the other 2 options presented.

Thanks in advance guys! Have a good day :) 👍

Edit: the car i chose must remain stock,(tuning prohibited) and the race I have to make the decision for will be an online endurance race on the Nurburgring 24h track. The only cars allowed are the 3 I've mentioned.

Depends what you want. The Ferrari is the easiest to drive in my experience, but I prefer the dynamics, interior and styling of the Jag. Plus, the ability to repaint it is a plus.

Jag is a prize car so that's down to two, some say the Ford sounds better,my personal choice is the Ferrari.

Ford Mark IV, hands down. Sounds and looks better than the Ferrari IMHO. And it doesn't have any of that irritating snap oversteer :ouch:

Haven't tried the ford yet. But I have to say the Ferrari a little better then the jag by a hair.

Ford sounds better.. But honestly I'd take it down to 15 million and get the 2J!

Thanks for all the responses guys. I have all 3 so that isn't an issue, I just have a race coming up with historic cars and I'm not sure which to chose, as I'm out of town at the moment and haven't had the chance to drive any of the 3 yet. I've heard the Mark IV is the best sounding/looking car in the game, so I'm leaning in that direction.

However, when it comes down to pure performance, looks and sound aside, which is the best/most competitive out of the 3?

Showed up in my UCD a month ago, and I was a couple million credits short. By the time I earned the money, it was long gone :(

Still waiting for another one!

I see what you mean, but in terms of performance, which do you prefer?

Pure performance, the Ford can't compete with the other two (assuming you mean when they are maxed out).

Between the Jag and Ferrari, it depends on the track. Ferrari weighs less. The Jag has more power.

Not so sure I have. What is this race? Message me so it doesn't derail the thread

The race takes place on the Nurburgring 24h, so I'm gonna need something with more agility. Based on the info you've given me, I'll take it the Ferrari is the better choice? Also, the league I'm in has performance restrictions, no tuning allowed. Can the Mark IV compete with the other two if everything is stock? Or is the Ferrari an overall better choice? Thanks for answering all of these questions, I really appreciate the help :) 👍

From my experience, better handling, I think will not run tires out as much and just better overall

Okay, thanks for the input! Also, clear a bunch of your messages, I can't message you because your inbox is full!

Have you driven all 3?

I own them all. Jag was pretty oversteery in stock form, Ferrari the opposite.

Is the Ferrari's so called "understeer" as you put it enough to make me not want to drive the car for a long period of time?

I love the way the Ford drives! It's very "manageable".. You might run a race real quick on the BSpec historic cup and see which one dominates.. I know on the Nurburgring 650 pp challenge when the Jaguar and Ford are participating the ford dominates the Jaguar..

Ps.. If you are looking for a "cheap" alternative you win the Toyota 7 race car on the BSpec "like the wind" challenge.

I already have the Toyota 7. However, look at the OP and you'll realize why that won't work ;)

Lol, my bad just looked :D .. Do you know how to dupe and use birthday tickets to get the car u want? I could help you out by sending you a 1967 birthday ticket then you could use that to get the Ford or Ferrari, or a 1966 ticket for the Jaguar.. then you could buy one of the others..

Don't mean to be a dick, but I believe I've said somewhere that I already have all three :)

And yes, I've duped the '67 ticket plenty of times to do that ;)

Then I will just leave it at the above ^ ..

The Ferrari is very light and nimble, but needs a set up to work.

The Ford is a little heavier and the gearing needs to be tuned to get its sluggish 0-60 sorted, but has more downforce and generally is a little better on tyres.

Go be unhelpful somewhere else.

That's an interesting comment, considering your sole "helpful" suggestion in the thread is that you like the Ferrari...
