Members on this site, need to get it into their head, that this site has a fairly well made search function.

Now now, don't be a dick. If you'd really like to know, I'm on my iPhone (where the search function on the GTP app can be... Questionable at some points). And is this thread really making a big enough impact on you that you have to come and point out flaws? I'm not trying to be an ass, but a constructive answer was what I was looking for, not someone to come nag me about not searching (which I did).

The Ferrari is very light and nimble, but needs a set up to work.

The Ford is a little heavier and the gearing needs to be tuned to get its sluggish 0-60 sorted, but has more downforce and generally is a little better on tyres.

Ahh I wish I could fix little things like that, but for the race they set the performance restrictions to "tuning prohibited", so even if I change one ratio in the transmission, the game won't let me enter the course. Which car do you feel is the best "right out of the factory" so to speak?

We did this in series a few months ago on High Speed Ring 22 laps, with tire wear on. Rolling start, NO SRF, No boost, weak slipstream, heavy damage, no penalty. We were allowed to tune ours, but no modifications.

Fastest was the Jag, best handling and tire wear was the Ford. P330 was overall worst car. Best car out of the box Ford, however if you're not including a rolling start the Jag will eat your lunch out of the gate.

I could understand you taking offense if I had said, "get it into their fat/thig heads". But I didn't. I just said that they need to get it into their heads, as in they need to get into the habit of using the search function, before posting a thread. I'm not trying to bite anyone's head off here. Simply stating that the search function is hardly being used on this site, and thus we end up having a ton of threads on the same subject.

And being on an Iphone isn't an excuse mate. You could've just waited until you were on a PC. Not like this is a highly urgent matter.

I just tried searching for "Million" and limited the search to "titles only" and only on the Q&A board. I got PLENTY of results.

And that's all fine and dandy. But as I just said, I had no problems finding plenty of helpful threads on the subject by using the search engine. If I can do it, so can he. And again, being on a phone, isn't an excuse. Search engine isn't amazing, but it could be a lot worse. That, I can promise you.

The guy asked which of the three is best. I love all of them, I was slot car racing back when they were brand new!

For me the Ferrari handles well and is easy to drive, the Jaguar also handles well but, for me takes a bit more concentration to get the best from it, but when you do it can really fly, and the Ford is a beast, the handling is not as 'friendly' as the other two but it has brute force on its side!

Ahh, this helps very much! It will be a Grid start, but if the Ford has better handling, I would very much prefer that. As you probably know, the Nordschleife favors handling & tire wear over raw speed. I think i may end up with the Ford, as it appears to be the Fan Favorite. Thank you!

The Ferrari has precise handling, but could possibly be too precise and lead to snap-oversteer, this causing you to slow your pace in order to avoid this.

The Ford is a gorgeous piece of machinery, sounds great, has the most "stable" handling (but possibly some understeer?), and when it comes down to Raw power is at somewhat of a disadvantage.

Anything I'm missing?

Don't think so! I think the thing to keep in mind is NO TUNING which will effect these cars greatly. They can all perform well in the right hands, but for my money I'd go with the car that is easiest to handle which (for me) was the Ford.

I am with the Ford as well. I love the Jag but the Ford sounds good and handles much better in stock form. As for that Jag it is a beautiful car, does sound good but takes some tuning to get it to handle as well as the Ford. The Ford is also faster IMHO than either the Ferrari or the Jag.

I agree with locoman; if you were helpful you would of at least linked a few of those threads into here.
So far I see none posted by you. And I've searched - and all I've managed to find is 20 Mil. Cr. cars - which don't really have anything to do with a racing series.

But only YOU can really see - the best way to do this is run all three cars on the 'Ring and see which one is the fastest and the one you feeling comfortable with. 30 Minutes - 1 hour at most testing this and you'll know the answer yourself.

I'd of went with the Ferrari, but if you're not used to it (the handling is sometimes a bit unpredictable - a few times I've unexpectedly spun around a few corners on the 'Ring) the last thing you want is to spin and lose precious time in any race. The Jaguar and even the Ford are the safer option.

I always thought that the Ford was the fastest, but I feel the driving experience through technical tracks isn't as great as the other two (hint of understeer and the handling isn't as sharp as the Jag or Fezza). The noise is great though - perfect car for Circuit de La Sarthe but not for the Nürburgring IMO.

I will definitely do some testing, but the reason I made this thread is due to the fact that I am unable to do so at the moment because I'm a few thousand miles away from my PS3 on vacation, so I wanted to have a general idea of what to expect from these beasts when I finally get behind the wheel.

I have a Ferrari 330 P4 and a Jaguar XJ13, and the Jaguar is much, much better to drive. It also sounds better. The only reason to get the Ferrari is for the appearance.

I had no luck with the Jag handling until i tried Praiano's tune, smashed all opposition in the historic race that included a Toyota 7, 2J and 2D, the Ford and Ferrari. Saved me 20mill too

I really really really really want to use Praiano's tune (probably 75-85% of the cars in my garage have his tunes on them because they're so damn amazing). But I'll have to just figure it our.

I can't comment on the mkIV as i've never driven it. However if it's like the GT40 (which is basically the same car) then I'd imagine it lacks grip and speed. I have the GT40 and on most tracks it's 3-4 seconds per lap slower than the Jaguar. Both stock ofcourse.

So basically you really have no experience on 2 of the 3 cars (minus a license test)💡

MKIV is WAYYYYYYYYY grippier than the GT40.

did a championship with these 3 cars and the chapparal 2D. i was the only one in the chapparal and had fastest laps, but got beaten by the 2 other jaguars. we were often quite far ahead of the rest of the feild which mainly consisted of fords and ferrari's. Current season is using the ford and ferrari, points tally so far. Ferrari :24 Ford :4. my order of the cars is Jag, ferrari, ford.
