I have done all the races in the series, the Nurburgring course has been driving me crazy. The AI cars are just blowing me away every time that I have raced there. Any ideas or suggestions ????

I was going to ask the same question. I've used the McLaren F1 and the Audi R8 TDI AE with no luck. (Needles to say i'm not very good)

I used the red bull junior easy race because every had the same car as me
Don't really remember, but I strongly suspect I would have done this. Not so much because it's easy, more just coz I love driving that thing.

Well guess is just a matter of the AI lineup for this race. I tried several times with the R8 TDI and the best I got in Bathurst was fifth about 20sec down. Last night I tried again with the R8 and was able to pass the two leading Nissan class C cars on the last turn of the last lap. I keep going with the championship and in Silverstone I passed everybody by lap two (but they stayed glued to my butt whole the whole race) Won all races except nurburgring.

I guess the best car will be the best class C. Mazda, Sauber and the Toyota minolta were great in GT5.

Now that the all Jr. races are gone, are the prototypes the best bet now? I must admit, I can't drive them very well.... :(

I used the Peugeot 905 tuned up to 715 pp using the high turbo, transmission at 230, it light and nimble has horsepower to spare and quick acceleration.
This race challenged me the most, I got second on my first try but then couldn't seem to crack the top spot for awhile. The trick for me was to pass the most cars in the first lap in the F1 section and then get past 4-5 cars in the long straight on the first lap, getting me to 4th after the first lap, then passing the 3 and 2 cars again in the first section and then patiently running down the leader , I won with plenty of cushion.

I don't have the time to build up for the other proto's, but I have the 15th ann R18... Hope that will do it!

A well-tuned LMP will easily put you at the top of the boards. Look through the tuning database or the tuning subforum. A good tune can shave off a lot of seconds on a track like the nurb.
I personally used Praiano's Sauber C9 tune after failing a half dozen times with a stock C9 + high RPM turbo...

The Nurburgring is the most intimidating course in GT6 for me... the first time I raced it I was physically trembling by the end from the adrenalin rush! This course is directly responsible for many $$$ in chassis rebuild expenses! Eventually I got more comfortable with it and now it's among my favorite courses, but I still often get a wheel in the grass somewhere on those narrow curves.

I agree with Dragonbeard, most any well-tuned LMP should work. I've won it with the R8 race car, The Peugeot 905 and the Pescarolo C60 hybrid. I highly, highly recommend Praiano's tuning on these cars! It's amazing what he does. I've also won it with the Mazda Furai, which with Praiano's 650pp tune is a complete blast to drive btw, although a bit speed limited in the final straight.

Good luck, looks like you have the equipment already in the 905, just keep at it.

I used a detuned Formula Gran Turismo. Was a bit underpowered but did the job just fine regardless.

Just tried Formula GT for my first try on GTWC, golded everyone of them, Nurburgring was surprisingly easy.
