I got this idea from XDesperado67 because he made a thread called "Worst Corners in GT5"

So what's your best corner in GT5?

EDIT: Also, what is your favourite track in GT5?

Eiger Nordwand first 2 hairpins and the 3rd corner sweeper. Handbrake in a WRX '10 or an R35 absolutely aces these corners faster than hitting the apex without wheelsipn.

The corner after the long straight in Trial Mountain. Great passing point, out breaking someone there is pure pleasure.

Brilliant corner i love it, indeed it's a great passing point. The apex is hard to find sometimes though because the road cambers a bit and sometimes forces you to lift off if you get out of the camber too early. Great corner if you get it prefect though, as most people in the field won't, you can gain almost half a second here from hitting the apex perfectly, especially in slower cars.

I love cutting chicanes. I did it when I golded Monza (Vettel Challenge). Also, in Trial Mountain (I think) I like the part where if you go too much towards the right the car will topple over. It's just before the end of the lap. I hope you know which corner I'm talking about.

Yeah, I noticed that what you say, I can easily build a decent lead in that corner alone. Very rarely you'll find someone who nails that apex. It's all about knowing where the weight of your car is and use it to create more traction. Lovely corner.

So in a thread about the best corners in the game, you post about skipping them completely? LOL, genious o.O

The downhill right hander that flows back to left and uphill towards the hairpin at SSR5. Sooooo satisfying.

This. And the banked hairpin on the Nürburgring is extremely satisfying and fun when you get it right.

Turn 1 at Daytona Road. Narrow entry at over 200mph, turning left a bit while stomping on the brakes. If your brake bias isn't toward the front, then God help you.

Also, all of Cote d' Azur.

Oh yes. A pleasure of mine as well 👍

All in, it is my favourite track. But the corners that more or less make up the GP-Strecke section at the 'Burg, with the addition of the the Nordkehre hairpin makes for a well-worth sleepless night.

Nordschleife: From Karussell to Döttinger Höhe

It´s my "Nemesis"-Part of the HeLL. If you get it right it is so awsome, but if you screw just one curve you loose sooo much time.

Other superb Corners:
Monza ---> Parabolica
Trial Mountain ---> Sector from 1st Tunnel to 2nd Tunnel
Deep Forrest ---> Second last turn
Suzuka ---> Degner 1 and 2
London ---> Turn 2,3 and 4 (Track is kinda short and "boring" but this section is pure fun)
Nordschleife ---> Fuchsröhre Adenauer-Forst just awsome (I kinda like the Ring xD)
Eiger Short ---> Corner after Tunnel

Maybe I forgot some but this is a good selection :D

My absolute favourite has to be the Audi-S curve on Nurburgring GP/F (the uphill S after the wide hairpin)

Favourite track of all time= Nurburgring :)

Best corners for me are Spoon curve at suzuka i can carry a good line and speed true there

The Escabach to Planzgarten on the Nurburgring very fast downhill section and with good lines you will make up a few seconds easily and down the very end of the long straight passing under the bridge/sign keep it flatout till the bottom just before the very slight right hander

The downhill hairpin at the end of the front straight at Nurburg GP. When I hit my braking just right and turn in perfectly it's eurphoric.

Favorite corners:

Corkscrew and subsequent left-right on Laguna Seca

The sector from the wide right "hairpin" on Tokyo 246 all the way to the beginning of the straight. Nail that whole thing perfectly without braking too much, just by working the turn-in points and you'll know what I mean. Each small mistake makes a huge difference. To me the perfect place to fight for 1/100th of a second.

Trial Mountain after the long straight as mentioned.

For me it has to be the whole first sector of Suzuka. It really flows if you get it right. Mistakes are very costly here but if you nail it it's so satisfying.

I'm going to have to agree with you on that one:tup:

Loews Hairpin, Monaco - slowest hairpin in any grand prix. i nail it though and its a good overtaking opportunity.

Variante del Rettifilo, Monza - the mother of all chicanes.

Spoon curve, Suzuka - tricky driving line but pays off if you get it right.

Final section of Fuji is actually quite enjoyable if you can get it right!

Also Metrgesfeld to Dottinger Hohe on the Nurburgring is absolutely fantastic.

The Corkscrew on Laguna Seca, can never find the breaking point but always so fun.

The M.Schumacher S on the Nurburgring GP circuit.

Lastly the last corner on my favourite track : High Speed Ring!
