Try the Mustang SVT Cobra R engine with stock exhaust. And make sure to remove the turbo for a proper sound. Without a doubt one of the most amazing V8 sounds in the game.

The chevelle ss with stock exhaust sound very good! Very muscle car-ish. It has that nice gargle sound at idle. Sound good in the high rev range too!

Hybridding, of course.

Try the Shelby Series One, stock exhaust.

Drive slowly at, say, 2nd gear for a moment, and then slam the gas pedal and listen for the apocalypse.

In high RPMs it's an ear-killer. A friendly one, obviously.

1. Chapparel 2D engine roars, rips and snorts. By far the best sounding engine in GT5 in my opinion. It's also much louder than most cars. I threw one into a Dodge Challenger R/T 70, was a match made in heaven.

2. Shelby GT350 with the stock exhaust is a screamer

3. Shelby Series One with the stock exhaust has a nice mix of V8 rumble that revs quite high.

4. Blitz Dunlop Skyline sounds great, has an immense turbo whistle that other people can hear very clearly.
