Rock music is the BEST. I only listen to AC/DC, Guns 'n' Roses, Nirvana, Metallica or some polish rockbands while driving.

The best music while driving is the music the engine makes!!!

I'd agree with you, if the engine sounds were realistic :D.

Anyway I've got some AC/DC, Rage Against The Machine, some random Dubstep and techno music, and a couple other random stuff.

I transferred all my initial D soundtrack to the ps3 and honestly, while racing with the song "break N2 the night" I have the urge to try and drift every single corner I approach no matter what car im using. LOL

At the current time, Im listening to the only two albums I have on my PS3: "Death Magnetic" by Metallica, and "Endgame" by Rise Against. I plan to add more of both their works, and maybe even more by other various artists.

I usually have Dream Theater's Black Clouds and Silver Linings (or any of their albums) playing for just general racing and whatnot, along with Rush (anything), Queensryche, U2, Coheed and Cambria, and A Perfect Circle. When I want a change of pace, like for drifting, I put on my 70's/80's rock collection (Rush of that era, Motley Crue, Van Halen, Boston - the power ballads.)

If I'm doing racing for real or in a league, I put on Metallica, Iron Maiden, Green Day, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Pink Floyd... (Just seems to fit somehow.)

And if I'm in the mood for something slightly different, I slap on Marillion, Mumford & Sons, Big Gigantic, PSY, Dave Chappelle, The Cult, Yes, Triumph, and Your Favorite Martian.

(Yes, I've got a VERY large collection of music.

I usually listen to Streetlight Manifesto or other Ska music. Uptemo and happy. And sometimes I throw in a little Skrillex or Asking Alexandria to mix it up a bit.

My music for driving goes as follows:
Slipknot
Bring me the horizon
Of mice and men
Asking alexandria
Disturbed
Bullet for my valentine
Avenged sevenfold
Suicide silence

Great motivation to drive very very quickly :)

At first I was listening to the one and only album that's really appropriate: "Gran Turismo" by The Cardigans (GT2 intro, anyone?).

Now I have all music turned off, in both racing and menu. If I want music I just play something on my computer or stereo.

None for me. I detest the music and turned it off early in my GT5 days. While I listen to music, usually classical, on the road in my real car I do not like it while I'm racing.

Racing - Engine growls and Transmission whine and Tyre scream.

Replays however... I loved Spiderbait from GT4. Curve Hell above the Water was a nice Grabage esque Throwback to GT(1)

Probably in ten years time I will grow to like the tunes that came with GT5 -

One type of music that seriously pumps me up for racing is this:

Normaly I'd just listen to the engine sounds, but GT5 ones just suck that much. So much that just gets annoying.

No sound but the engine actually.

If I hear music I get carried away and sing along, and forget to concentrate on my racing lines. If I'm just cruising or having a boring endurance, I just randomly play music from youtube.

The same happens when online and those suckers who never shut up make me lose concentration.

Hahaha, me too.
Engine sound is my kind of music.

The best music for driving for me, It's Trance, It gets me in a peacefull place doing what I most like to do :)
