What do you think are the best racing game intros ever made?
Two come to mind quite easily:
Wasn't this the intro of Forza Motorsport 4?
Clarkson's speech was the intro you got when you started the game the first time. I think that one was the E3 trailer.
And that intro wasn't like Gran Turismo's? That you watch everytime you start the game?
As far as I remember you only had the Clarkson intro the very first time you started the game, after that you got the T10/Microsoft splash screens and the main menu screen, like every other Forza game since.
Yeah, that seems to be the case. I've never played a forza game, but from what I've seen on youtube; it's very difficult to find an intro to any of the games.
Even if you look for forza horizon intros, you'll find compilation of loading screens.
Atmosphere? Check. Soundtrack? Check. Cheesy 90s story? Check.
Back when exotics still ruled NFS.
Could easily be the intro of a James Bond movie.
And last but certainly not least, the single video that single handedly sparked my love for cars and racing more than 20 years ago:
When a standard racing game intro isn't enough for you...
Ridge Racer Type 4 and WipEout Pure's intros are easily the best for me.
I've always been more an alt/indie rock person but the Ridge Racer Type 4 soundtrack is amazing. Easily one of my all time favorite intro's as well.
