Hi Clyde! Get back on GSR - we can start a GT6 series :p

Back on topic, we had a race in the GT300 cars at Nurburgring GP the other week - RX7 was noticeably fastest, followed by the Subaru BRZ. (restricted to 500PP)

I had two days off from work so i decided to do some testing around Sukuka for anyone who cares (although mainly for my own enjoyment).

Each car was stock apart from an oil change, and some suspension and LSD adjustments. Gear ratios kept stock. Power limited to 300bhp. Standard weight. All driven using DS3 in manual with ABS on 1, everything else off, for 20 non-stop laps each in free run.

2:05.735 - RX7 GT300 Base Model '08
2:05.920 - Wedssport Celica '03
2:06.693 - Garaiya GT300 Base Model '08
2:06.882 - Impreza GT300 Base Model '08
2:07.410 - IS350 GT300 Base Model '08
2:07.787 - Superautobacs Apex MR-S '00
2:07.976 - BRZ GT300 Base Model '12
2:09.972 - C-West Razo Silvia '01

The RX7 is just so easy to drive fast, as is the Celica, making them the 2 best GT300 cars IMO. The Garaiya is a bit more of a handful but once you get used to it it's very rewarding and corners beautifully. The Impreza is probably the easiest to drive but lacks the overall pace of the cars ahead of it. The Lexus is a little tricky at times but generally easy enough to manage. The MR-S is a cornering machine but just doesn't have the pace the others do. The BRZ is dull, dull, dull. I found it planted enough but not as agile as it's competitors. And then there's the disapoin- i mean Silvia. I just couldn't get it to handle well, and even if i had, it's too down on power anyway (it wouldn't even have 300bhp if it wasn't for the oil change).

Obviously this is just my own opinion and experience but hopefully it'll help some people decide on which car's for them. Or at least prove mildly interesting for someone.:gtpflag:

I used the Renault megane v6 race car for it I won all the races first time out
Yeah, I used that to go back and gold Suzuka after the fact. It looks like a GT300 but does have a higher PP and overmatches the Japanese racers.

yeah i used it because it was the only car i had that could enter it competitively

I've tested some cars.

RX-7 is largely ahead of all other cars IMO. It's indecent.

Not only, this car is very easy to drive but in addition, is fast.

So, I proposed a ballast system to the organizers of online championship, they refuse. They let players choose their car. In the end, they all choose the RX-7.

It's no longer a Super GT championship, but a mono model RX-7 championship !

The RX-7 GT300 is literally ST Akuma now, then? Get what I mean?

With proper time of tuning both, online physics, best lap at cape ring inside rx7 50.9. Brz 51.2...racing hards, base models

I used the Subaru GT300 Base Model. The car is very quick and drives easy. One of the best driving AWD cars out there and it is very stable if you happen to touch the grass under throttle which can be the difference between winning and loosing.

The only RX7 I have driven much so far is the LM Race Car which I used in the GT500 races. It does very well.

Loving my Lexus IS350 base model at the moment. Looks great, sounds ok and handles well enough.

I really enjoy participating in the GT300 championship, the grid is quite colorful to look at in the replay :D

Probably will buy either the Garaiya or the BRZ next

i used the impreza gt300 base model. easiest series ive done with that car. also, fully upgraded it gets 633hp and can go 190+ on daytona road course with full downforce

Get the Asparinkidinkarink or whatever it is RX-7. It's got a really great rotary soundtrack, one of the better sounding cars.

Well lucky I saw your post before I made my next purchase so I brought the Re RX-7. As you said sounds great, got a nice cockpit and handles pretty well. Ive yet to race it though, just tested it on my official test track Trial Mountain

Whew, glad I could help!

Ferrari GT0 250 met the specs and ran nicely with the big wing modern cars. It's the right size without the fender flares and wings. A good chance to use the GTO offline and dare I say grind some credits to replenish the bank account.

I love the GT300 series except "as people above have already mentioned" when running stock or PP limited it turns into a RX7 race, and cars like the RAZO SILVIA dont get a look in because there to slow & the PP system is *****.

I run a room every now & then with no abs but limit the bhp to 300 as in real regulations, then to make it fair I take the heaviest car "which I think is 1175kg" and make that the limit, so all cars are equal. Then its just down to the tuning or driver.
