Toms supra with RKM tune is a grip monster, kills the other gt cars with same pp

I'm using the Woodone Supra with my own tune and I prefer it over all of the NSX. I'm going to tune some of the older standard JGTC cars (00, 01 R34 GT-R) since they have more torque than the R35 premium GT-Rs.

It seems to drive like its on rails. A classic through-back to the previous GT games where it was always a dominate car.

The premium Nissan Yellowhat is the best for me. Even the best to drive of all categories of cars in the game.

I've driven nearly all of them, and I lean towards either the Yellowhat Supra or the Raybrig NSX.

That being said, any of the NSX's (perhaps excepting the Epson) are all very good.

For me, there is no 'best' Super GT. They're all the same really.

So go for the best looking one. For me that's the Bandai Direzza SC430. ;)

Although the Tom's Supra was the first car I could drive without aids :D

And if you have the Stealth Models their stats are better than the true versions. And of course the Nomad Diablo if you can count that is obviously overpowered, although I wouldn't say the Nismo Z isn't dominant over the main Super GTs.

For A-Spec Super GT? You can use anything.

For online? As long as it goes by PP, you can use anything. Unless maybe the PP is set for max tuned Super GT, because I don't know if they all get the same benefit from the turbos.

I think in stock form, the Nismo Z (NCD) is pretty fast. So is the Takata NSX (NCD).

For A-Spec Super GT? You can use anything from Japan.

Just a quick fix.

Although if you were doing A-Spec I'd buy a CT230R or S2K GT1 Turbo since they are nearly a quarter of the price of the Super GT's.

They're quite different especially when it comes to handling provided, of course, that you're using a FFB steering wheel.

With the car on Racing Hard or Medium (but not the character-robbing Racing Soft), the NSX is the most twitchy and with the least amount of understeer. The GTR feels the most planted and powerful although with slight amount of understeer. The SC430 sits between the NSX and the GTR in that it's well balanced with just the right amount of understeer to not be too twitchy.

And despite the different handling characteristic, the time between these cars are quite close which speaks highly how well PD has managed to balance their performance. At Suzuka using Racing Medium, I clocked anywhere from 1:58 to 1:59 with the GTR being the most consistent and the SC430 the least.

Oh I didn't mean that he could use any car, just that any Super GT would be enough to win.

Though I guess I should be clear and say that it should be GT500 (500 hp). GT300 could probably win too, especially with turbos, and they're a bit cheaper to buy.

Since the Online event came out I bought all the premiums Super 500 cars twice and tested them tuned and absolutely stock (not even an oil change), of course after some rounds the engine begins to break in so they have now some hp more than in the stock 0 km version.

However I was able to do a lap on the nurburging online event with all of these cars below a time of 1 min 56 sec. Usually the fastest laps are around 1:55:925-1:55:975.

I raced this event 10 times per car to get used to the car and to repeat the fastest laps. So the cars really are kind of the same when you keep them stock. I haven't had time to test them tuned and modded, but if one car doesn't get way more hp from modding they should kind of stay the same.

I have a preference for FR cars, so I like the Supras the best, with the au Cerumo being my favorite. I love the livery on that car for some reason. 👍

Funny, I had asked myself the same question and had just finished looking for the answer when I saw this. I'll get more in depth on that when I start a new thread, but the short answer is - myken is right! I raced 34 of the 35 cars that are eligible for the Super GT on NurburgringGP/F (the exception being the Toyota Castrol Tom's Supra 01, apparently I don't own that one yet) and was impressed by how close all the cars were in stock form. All of them were race winners. I would characterize the handling a bit differently, but handling is subjective at best as opposed to something more definitive like lap time (example: before comparing I would have said that I'm not a fan of the NSX's but the Honda Takata Dome NSX 03 was consistently one of the fastest, actually in the top 3 for me). The Lamborghini Nomad Diablo is tops in terms of horsepower and performance points, and I did record fastest lap, but it isn't my favorite car (my choice is probably the Nissan Xanavi Nismo GT-R 03 or Xanavi Nismo Z 06, both only marginally slower, and I enjoyed all the Supra's). So, pick a car you like and spend a little time with suspension, drivetrain, and gearing and you'll be in good shape with no need to upgrade engines or turbos.

I really enjoyed the Xanavi '03 in GT4 (one of the very few cars I actually liked in GT4), but in GT5 it just seems... meh. Its not really slower than any of the other JGTC cars, I suppose, but it just doesn't feel fast.

In my opinion the Supra's have the best handling followed by the GTR's and then Lexus, and like Midnight snack mentions NSX's are a bit twitchy.

Although I don't really like the color Yellowhat Supra has the best handling and is quite fast :) Definitely my favourate.... (why didn't they decide to be called BlueHat or Redhat :D)

When properly tuned I think all of the newer cars are within a half second or closer on tracks of 1:20 or less. If they are farther apart than that for you it's likely the tune or you can't adapt to the driving style the car requires to be fast. I've raced them online many times against many really fast drivers and most of us switch up cars all the time and usually have a pack of 2-4 completely different cars at the front. The Lexus I've found is the easiest to drive, so easy it's almost boring and it doesn't sound much like a race car so I don't take it out much.

The key is proper tuning. All the NSX's can be twitchy if not tuned properly and hard to drive consistently, even on racing softs. The Castrol Supra has the most downforce at 50/70 and corners slightly better but gives up a bit on the straights, perhaps the easiest car to be consistent in. If I remember correctly the Lexus has a bit of a push unless tuned out etc. But once dialed in they are all fast and fun in slightly different ways and you can't go wrong with any of them, although I'd not suggest starting out in one of the NSX's till you get some GT500 experience under your belt.
