I would like to know , which are the best tires to install ? T2 ? T3 ? Medium ? Which one ? Can someone also tell me whats the best combination for rear and front tires too ? Thankz for the help .

Heres my $0.02 worth.

The tires that will give you the quickest lap times are T8s. The tires that last longest and give best race times with tire wear on are T2s.

In tire wear races the best ones to pick depend on the car, the track and the number of laps. Go for T2s unless you can get away with something softer and not have to pit.

Mixing tire types front to rear only makes sense to me if you are experiencing different wear rates, and you want the change of grip f/r bias this will give you. Generally I dont mix.

I would say if you are low on cash and can only get one set of tires, get the t2's. They will let most cars (if setup properly and driven a bit easier) out last other cars on enduro's and anything else allowing you to get a few laps up atleast before you have to pit.

Super-Slicks. They're cheap and last a long time. Plus- once you get to the harder difficulties, it's not a shock of different traction because you'll be use to the grip they give and how long they last, and you'll flow well with the traffic on Pro.

:D Couldn't possibly agree more w/rjensen11, Jokerman & Wastegate. T2s are affordable & teach you a lot about "Gentle" driving. An added bonus is that when you are able to use Softer tires the car feels like it's "Running on Rails." Minor drifts & slides are very easily compensated for if you've already mastered the initial "Icy" feeling of the T2s. T3s should be your next purchase IMO, because I have to use a "mismatch" set up on some cars to assure the tires wear out simultaneously & I don't have to pit while one end or the other is still Green or Pale yellow. This gives me the maximum number of laps at optimum traction...UB57

I'll agree with everything everybody has said, except that I don't usually mix tires because I find it tends to unbalance the car. To me, harder tires at the trouble end of the car just makes the problem worse; and I don't find that softer tires at the other end improves my pit strategy any.

Other than that I'll back everyoneg else. I try to run nothing softer than T4s because T5s and up don't have a useful track life when tire wear is on, and I don't want to get in the habit of relying on the extra grip.

:D To under18carbon:
I wouldn't call them "Best" (T2s) as there are so many different tire "Situations" in the Game. They're defintely better than "Stock or Sport" tires, & sooner or later you'll need them for longer races. For races WITHOUT tire wear T8s are the obvious choice. My rule is to use the SOFTEST tire I can combined w/the LEAST number of Pit Stops. Hope this makes sense...UB57
BTW: Thanx for the PM concerning my "Move"!!!
:D

For what it's worth, I did some testing recently and I think I've figured out the average life of each tire set (that is, how long it takes before at least one tire will go red). These were the results I got at Trial Mountain with a mostly stock Lancer Evo VII (race suspension and brakes): of course depending on the track, car and driving style Your Mileage May Vary(tm).

Super Slick (T2) - 15 Laps
Slick (T3) - 10 Laps
Medium Slick (T4) - 7 Laps
Medium (T5) - 5 Laps
Medium Soft (T6) - 4 Laps
Soft (T7) - 3 Laps
Super Soft (T8) - 2 Laps

I didn't bother with the other tire types, since nobody really uses them in enduro racing anyway.

:D To Delray Sandusk:
FANTASTIC!!!!, have been meaning to do what you've done for a while, but have neglected to do so. Will clip & save your chart for future reference. THANX!!!...UB57

BTW: Am I the only one who wishes the wear was spread a little more evenly??? May be like 15, 10, 8, 6,4,2 in this case???

BTW #2: Just to show how much weight effects tire wear, the Elise 190 in STOCK trim gets about 24 Laps from a set of T2s on this course.
:D

Hmm .. I ran the British GT Cup yesterday using my Toyota GT-one Road Car on T2's . I finished the 10-lap race with yellows on the front and greens on the rear . Just to let you guys know ...

Yeah .. I wish the tire wear was spread evenly or even more realistic . GT3 is called " The Real Driving Simulation " , so how about some " Real Tire Wear !! " :banghead: ----> :( -----> :banghead:
