First race online and I was using a manual transmission. I started honking the horn for some laughs and when the race started, I was in reverse. :dunce: I told the longer version of this story in the "does anyone actually use the horn" thread.

No i dont use it. But with the horn u give a semi-warning to other ppl in a way. Lol

So I was doing International A NASCAR Cup..

The first race is 600 PP or less with 70% Power limit or less, so I did that to my car (got 582PP) and won the race easily..

Then I proceeded to race 2, which was Willow Springs, damnn it was SOOOOOOOOO HARD I had to restart my PS3 about 5 times, and finally won it on a 582PP car! The opponents was like leaving me on straight always, and I must catch up on corners..

Then on race 3, I tried to raise the power limit to 100%, and enter... whoa.. it allows me! after I won the race 3 easily, I checked back at the restriction.. DOH.. turn out, only race 1,4 and 5 that is restricted to 600PP, while race 2 and 3 is 680PP. damn you PD!!!

This is just over an hour old.

Jumped in to a friends lobby, looking forward to have some sideways action. Got to the second corner and felt that the car handled like s:censored:t. This is a car I have over 1000 kilometers in, every single one is either sideways, or during transitions.
The thing is, that for the last week I've been practicing driving with a wheel. So I just thought that I just needed a couple of laps to get back in it with the DS3 again. Well :banghead::banghead: My drifting skills s:censored:ed for some reason.

And suddenly it came to me. I had been looking at the new custom rear wings before I got in to the lobby. A quick change of cameraangle proved to give the solution. Of course I had bought the biggest kitchentable you can have, and to be even more stupid, I had mounted it in the rear of my car just to forget it 2 minutes later:banghead:

A quick exit from the lobby to remove the piece of furniture from the rear of my car, and 2 minutes later I was drifting like a god;) again:cheers:

Bought an Amuse 380RS Super Light to run at the Super events at Jack Rabbit Springs International Raceway and Bond Villian Base & Resort Ascari.

Only to find out that "Tuner cars" are not allowed.

_ I had previously tried to run the G37 High End here too, and had the same "Excuse me, You can't run that car here sir." from the security mooks at the gate.

I am hoping my *cough* Porsche Boxter from Ruf isn't classed as a Tuner car...

So 200 laps at autumn mini ring, 100% rain in teslas, 16 people atarted, 2 finished

Buying the game. If there was a thread called 'the smartest thing I have done in gt6' I would say returning it (thinking about it haven't done it yet).
Enough of the "I bought this game" crap. You're not being funny or witty, and this isn't the thread for it anyway.
Ironic since you liked the post.

Spinning out in the last lap in the last couple of corners before the finish and dropping back down to fourth or more.

Story of my life.

I regret buying the Deltawing for the 24 minute Le Mans, handles like crap, slow like crap, and expensive.
I used that car to beat the event. Piece of cake, unless any rain turns up.

My biggest idiot moment (relating to GT6) is backing up my PS3 to a thumb drive then losing that drive before I could restore it to a new hard disk. As a result I had to restart GT6.

My biggest idiot moment IN GT6 is buying the flat floor mod to find it's pointless but increases PP, while the wings give downforce but don't increase PP.

I drive alot for my job IRL, and after one long day at work I was racing the 24min of Nurburgring.
I must have got so much into the race I thought I was driving IRL again...
One of those distance marker signs came into view, and I smashed on the brakes in my R35, I thought it was a speed camera!

I didn't realize the new FT-1 seasonal event had SRF off, so it took me an hour or so to quit spinning out.
Good that SRF is forced off, bad that I was too dumb to notice SRF is forced off.

With the inclusion of the Daihatsu Midget in GT6, I imagined that I wouldn't really need Goat Simulator. Expecting a fair amount of drama and chaos, a disappointing test drive of the car only made me realize that I was wrong all along...

You need a good tune for it and the car wins Le Mans fairly easily, even with rain - oh, and you need to use RS on the rear and RM at the front.

My stupidest thing...bought an FXX for the seasonal without checking if the car would be supplied - well, I was tired, that's my excuse ;)

Still open for improvement :D but entering the Nürburg 24' race with my newly achieved Monster Sport SX4, to realise in the end of the first lap that the Monster has no lights !!
(They are just stickers as I just read in the cars description).

- just enough light left to find the pit entrance.
- pitted to wait for the second car.
- tried to follow him, but could only see the tail lights.
- the headlights of all A1 don't light up the track.
- hitting most of the crash barriers in the first half of the second lap.
- when morning came, I was back in 14th spot.
- coming into the last lap, place 10 and 1,5 minutes back of the lead McLaren.
- won the race by 10"

So: first check the car for headlights before entering a night race !
(The Monster is a real monster !)

Biggest idiot moment for me was buying base model HSVs and GTRs... only to sell them off after a few hours. Estimated loss= 1,200,000 cr.
Only for me to buy another GT500 BM: This time an NSX. Sold another useless car. Loss= 600,000 cr.
However, I then managed to stick with the Keihin HSV. Now planning to use it in online series.

Biggest "I'm an Idiot" Thing I've Done in GT6:

So, myself and the rest of the STCC guys were in Race 1 at Monza in our Super Tourers. I was in third position and @moeom tapped the brakes a bit early; and I forgot that the Honda Accord's brakes are far from great - which resulted in moeom going straight off and me gaining a penalty point! :P

Not as bad as what happened to me that same day. In race 2, I got off to a great start, only to eventually bury myself in gravel, ruining my efforts. Apparently I got all irate, started running through grass to speed past the corners, weaving like a drunk fat guy at 3am, and eventually landing myself 3 penalty points.
@TheLuigi755 Your driving at Monza was horrendous.
I agree with myself here. It (hopefully) won't happen again.

Sell the Jaguar XKR S that I've got as a gift car. Then buy it again afterwards after realizing that it was a rather nice car.

Hey, I did that too - so that's two daft things I've done. At least you finished your race, kudos to ya!
