Ah, you mean he's angry. :) Maybe change the somewhat misleading topic title. :) I think he's probably right - opportunities need not only be created, but should also be used.

Well, he is mad. This is a guy you clearly need to put on some sort of medication. Have you seen any recent TV interviews with the guy? He's crazy off his mind.

I wish he got more press. The black community needs a leader who's willing to tell them to get their "culture" into shape.

I often read a black-oriented comic strip called "Boondocks". It's sometimes kind of funny, but I'm really disappointed to see the artist getting cranky and making fun of Cosby. Cosby is fundamentally right in this, and they don't want to hear it, so they make fun of the old man. It's sad, really.

Great cartoon, one of maybe 3 or 4 that I check anymore.

Cosby's always been a popular pot-shot target for blacks; maybe because he was also quite popular with "White America" and didn't create distance between races with his humor or wit. I'm glad he's taken a stand about very obvious issues that few people are willing to stand up and admit: Some black people have the same problems they had 50 years ago because their mentality towards self-improvement is just as dated.

On the other hand, he said a comment in Reader's Digest a few years back that stuck with me. When asked about the general quality of TV nowadays, he replied: "I always find myself going back to the Weather Channel."
