the FAN2 is at 0RPM as its pluged straight into the PSU

is this something to worry about? the system is stable but

I don't know how to help you but if that CPU temperature is right, turn the computer off NOW and don't turn it back on until you get things sorted - 127C/260F is way too hot.

well i guess it isnt right, because it isnt blowing out hot (or even warm) air, the cooler doesnt feel hot. and it runs as smooth as ever, could my mobo be on the way out?

The system fan 2 is not displaying anything since it is not plugged into the motherboard. As for the temps, I would use speedfan and confirm the temps are fine and then I'd use some sort of temperature monitor(you know like one of those that you use for an oven?).

Everything seems wrong in that picture. 16v+ from the 12v on your PSU? 4v for VCORE? 4v to your ram?
I think your board is messed up or your PSU is a piece of junk and will blow up when you're sleeping and burn the house down.

Yeah those voltages are all wrong. Did you try to reset your Bios to its default settings. Otherwise like nick suggested, find a temperature monitoring program that works in your OS.

yeh i noticed the volts, was fine the day before, all changed yesterday

i set all to defult, volts still the same and wrong..

I would say the motherboard sensors are screwed.

16+ volts on the 12+ rail is not good.

Use a program within windows to get sensor readings.

Speed fan does a good job.

If speed fan does the same thing as the sensors in the BIOS then I'd use a physical device to monitor the temps like this one.

Edit: Fixed link with a cheap temp monitor. Just have the temp sensor near the cpu heatsink.

Well, knowing the name of the motherboard would be useful.

Could try an update on the BIOS, but don't think that would be required.... And anyway, why did you go into the BIOS and find this in the first place?

What were you doing to make you notice this? Or more specifically, what did you notice that made you check the BIOS settings?

Yes, +16 volts on a 12 volt rail... I'm surprised its still alive... Although it sounds like someone is trying to overclock.

How did you set it to default? Turn all values to default? If so, you may need to take the motherboard battery out (CMOS) battery and wait some time, put it back in and boot it up again. That should reset all BIOS values back to normal.

Speedfan or other monitoring programs are useful in Windows. Linux, they should have their own terminal applications to do the same thing.

its a gigabyte ultra durable 3 GA-EX58-UD3R rev 1.6

i was in the bios trying to find out why the rear case fan stoped after the POST.

yes it is overclocked but not by me...by overclockers uk 2 years ago, i havent changed anything in it since (other then disabling on board audio)

and i set it to defult by pushing....F11 i think it said at the bottom something like "push F11 to set defult" but all it did was change the overclock to 2.6 from 3.4

havent tryed the battery stuff yet

o yes, and 2 days ago i had
Vcore = 1.268V
DDR15V = 1.632V
+3.3V = 3.376V
+5V = 4.972V
+12V = 12.112V
System temp = 42
CPU temp = 61
MCH temp = 44

i noted these as asus wanted to know when i was having problems with the soundcard crashing, but NOTHING in the bios was changed between seeing this and the fan stoping at getting werid readings

that was just in bios...i agress seamed high

---edit---
took it too a shop that actally had alot of good reviews online, and he said ill get a call sometime tomorrow saying what they think has caused the problem. and says no charge unless they can get it fixed. will still be carefull about what he charges for or replaces, but temps and voltages is something ive never had issues with and dont really want to risk playing around with it all on this pc, would if it was cheaper. hopefully have it back in a couple of days.

just wondering IF they think anything needs to be replaced, what will the most likely things be? CPU, PSU, mobo?
