Black Ops or Modern Warfare 2

Well as the title says, which is better Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 or Call of Duty Black Ops? I'm thinking of getting one of these but don't know which to get. Please be honest.

If you like Zombies, get BO. Though this argument is repetitive. Like BO, MW2 has horrible spawn points on some maps. Like MW2, in BO there is some perks that work the same as in MW2. I hate BO because of online play but I love it because you don't have to level up to get certain perks or weapons. I hate MW2 because of leveling up, I have to wait for such and such. Do you prefer Modern weaponry over Vietname-Cold War weaponry? Both have similar weapons and attachments, though they have two map packs. So you might has wait for a GOTY versions. I play alot of both because of the different game types. MW2 has third person which reminds me of Socom but I wish there were hostage extractions than just killing each other in bad spawn points. BO has Zombies, which in my mind can be its own game.

I hated MW2. And hate is not a word I use very often. I still think COD WAW is the best of the entire series. Especially with the excellent 4 player co-op campaign and death cards. The Black Ops multiplayer is really fun but BO has a crappy campaign especially toward the end.

If your looking for an fps battlefield bad company two is an excellent choice. IMO better than those two. However from your list I would chose Modern Warfare 2.

I'd say MW2. The maps in Black Ops all feel poorly thought out for the most part, and very small and cramped.

I voted BO but only because its most annoying features are less annoying to me that MW2. Maybe not the best way to approach such a poll, but that's how I decided. Basically the things I can't stand in MW2 are not present, or are very much toned down in BO. That list is Commando (not in BO - although the invincibility of the regular knifing animation is still ridiculous IMHO), Danger Close (not in BO), OMA (not in BO), Stopping Power (not in BO) and quick scoping (greatly reduced in BO).

That being said I do prefer the weapons in MW2 over BO and playing with the GTP crew, so by no means am I saying MW2 is not a good game.

Anyway that is my explanation for my vote.

I am just like you. Last week I had a dilemma, MW2 or BO? I wanted to get MW2 at first, but then I changed my mind. In MW2 the perks are very unbalanced, you are going to get trolled. Everyone also camps in MW2. In BO the perks are much more balanced, and there are a lot less places to camp than in MW2. You also have the fact that BO is simply newer, and since they are very similar in price the logical thing would be to get the newer one. BO destroys MW2 in the campaign. I was not expecting the campaign to be that good. 10X better than MW2. The twist at the end, and the whole interrogation flashback way the story was told was very well done.

Black Ops does have more multiplayer features and none of the annoying perks like Danger Close and Commando however MW2 still gets my vote.

The maps are much better in MW2 than BOps and I find there is more variety. In BOps 90% of the players use the Famas and AK74u religiously so it gets old very fast. I find the weapons are much more balanced in MW2 (let's not argue about the UMP though lol) so there is more variety and you can use a lot of different guns and still get good results.

Oh well, bad things happen in any game, I've had many command pro deaths on my behalf but just ignored it and kept on gaming.
MW2 is a good choice it should keep you busy for a long time, maybe until MW3?

Then after witnessing the "superman" lunges imagine this perk coupled with Marathon-Pro (infinite sprint & faster climbing) and Lightweight-Pro (move faster & no fall damage).

I'm a huge fan of Modern Warfare 1 & 2, but I would have also told you that latest release in the series(Black Ops) deserves some consideration, because, well, it's the newest one.

Big deal here is that CoD4(Modern Warfare), Modern Warfare 2 are made by Infinity Ward, and World at War, Black Ops are made by Treyarch. I absolutely hated World at War, so I didn't bother with the Black Ops.

I don't think you could go wrong with any of the CoD games I've mentioned here though. But remember, it doesn't matter which one you pick, it will 🤬 you off.

Well, from CoD4 to MW2, I've seen so many different things that can annoy players. I am talking about the multi-player, of course.

CoD4 had the M16, 3 frag grenades, juggernaut, etc. WaW to me was the hackers or whatever you wanna call it. People were getting under the maps. MW2 of course has the lightweight, commando, etc. And then there are camping, runners, lags, the everyday normal stuff that will 🤬 you off.

I mean all that.

I haven't had any problems with that the last time I've played a week or 2 ago.
It's probably still there occasionally.

Black Ops bored me astronomically. I put that game down after a month or 2. Modern Warfare 2, to this day, i'd love to play, but it stopped working. Black Ops has been at my friend's house since February ,and I haven't missed it that much to be honest. I haven't played MW2 in almost a year now, and I miss it DEARLY.

I actually haven't bought BO so I don't really miss it either, but sometimes I get that craving to put on MW2 and have some fun. It's surprising how less you forget when you haven't played it in months.

What bored you about BO? The maps, zombies, something else?
