Just want a quick question answering what does the bop optimized settings mean? I see alot in lobby and i dont understand what it is for any help much aopreciated lloyd

The Torque, horsepower and carweight get balanced that the cars have the same speed

One aditional question...

when you perform online races from the Sport Mode and race with your own cars, for example on the Group 3 or Group 4 daily races, the car may be yours but it´s "affected" with BOP settings...

Does it in this case, also locks on the initial setups (for example: suspension, aerodinamics, drivetrain, brake distribuition and so...) that were in the default setup, or does it keep the setup you had previously "installed" on your own car (your optimized and personal setup) ????

Cant answer this for Sport mode as I dont do it anymore but in Time Trial for sure with BoP ON you can tune everything else freely. If you couldn't I would not play the game at all. It's my last remaining pleasure, tweaking each BoP car to my driving 'skills'!

From memory, they ARE locked in Sport mode, I remember all settings having a LOCKED YELLOW PADLOCK on each of them.

Yep... After my post I took a closer look at car settings on those Daily Sport Mode Races and it looks like so... So Pathetic.. :(

In sport mode, the BoP will reset the customized settings for suspension, aero, etc, back to default settings. These settings are temporary for the BoP Sport mode race and will return to your customized settings after you exit the BoP race.

BoP and Setup are different shoes in gt sport and have nothing to do with each other.

BoP only limites or adjust the power ( horsepower and torque) and also weight of the car.
The setup is currently set to fixed in sportmode ... so all things like aero, transmission and Diff are fixed and not adjustable.

So, it could also be BoP on but with open setup like it was at the beginning.

Edit: And i dont think that open setups would fix the problem we have with BoP now, it would only make some undriveable cars like the lexus driveable. The gap in Laptimes would maybe be the same, because u can adjust also FWD cars and make them faster and I dont think that a open setup fixes the lack of topspeed of a Megane or Scirocco to a Porsche for example. And a megane or scirocco with Setup are almost unbeatable.

Yes, you are right. It's been so long since we've been able to tune suspension, etc in Sport mode that I forgot about 'Fixed' settings being the reason for not being able to tune.

back then the game was doing ok

Hi Minkihl!!!

In this video that published by Praiano (an also known tuner) : with
McLaren F1 1994 - BOP - All around tune - All tires. OK from N500 toN900
, when playing it, on minute 1:36, appears (on yellow and left) BOP Balance of Performance For Road Course, as set (on yellow) and with a chain lock on: Power Ratio as 103% and Weigth Reduction Ratio as 130%!!

What is needed to get such result?? Both 2"events" I´ve talked about??? I´ve tried and tried.. and I can´t get none to happen!!!! What is the secret?(catch)???? (This video is actual.. from this year.. and not from a previous version of GTS...
