As a huge Chevy fan, I have to say that I am extremely disappointed in the new Chaparral 2x. What an amazing pile of (insert what ever you wish here!).......I actually did the time trial and after constantly hitting barriers and not being able to keep the car on track, managed to be about a tenth off of Silver. Gave it another ten minutes and gave up:grumpy:. Not for me and my DS3, it can now collect virtual dust in the back corner of my virtual garage with a few other VGT cars that I will never use again.:yuck:

On another note, not too impressed with the Infiniti either, although more than the Chap.

I would have to agree with you. I am not near to silver and I don't think I'm going to bother trying. That concept car could have been good, I mean, even the Redbull X Cars have better handling than that thing and that is saying something. The Infiniti Concept VGT has its uses, its not too bad for a non-tuneable car but not great by any stretch of the imagination. At least they gave us lots of credits and an XJ13 car though. I now have 3 of the 20 million credit cars which is 2 more than I had a few days ago. :)

And I thought I was alone having trouble with this , on top of that I have @xande1959 ghost on :embarrassed:, it made me want to cry, before the first curve he's already gone with the wind, he's down to 43.xxx . I'm going back to 2CV's.

At least you got all the credits for the XJ13 👍, I'm still short of the gold by a bit. When I get a day off I'll retry it, btw which 3 cars do you have?

I won the XJ13 on the Jag challenge.. :) Much better than their usual prizes I must say. The other car I brought was the Ferrari 330 P4. What a beauty and a great handling car too. I haven't forgot about your challenge. I just haven't gotten round to it quite yet... But soon. I can't wait to see how the handling on my nice McLaren iPod has been destroyed with your settings :)

The other 20 million car I have is the Ferrari 250 GTO car. It isn't fully tuneable but I have given that a good attempt and it handles much better than stock now.

Just got the Jag:tup:, If this could help, try Active Steering on strong with the Chaparral (copied xande's setting:P), I got down to 0:49.148, but it's so hard to judge when your going to fast in curves the tires don't give you any warning :scared:. Peeling off to work, almost late :ouch:.

Maybe I did an oil change? Sorry, try that and let me know.

Edit: Racing Exhaust, Sports Cat Converter and 100% power limiter, Stage 3 Weight Reduction, Body Color Carbon Hood and Window weight. If that does not work, than I must have changed the oil. I normally try to put a note in when I do and did not have for this one so assumed I did not change since I rarely do.

This is a little experiment, trying to see how easy it is to copy from the community of my favorites and if they will stay if I remove them from my favorites. Also wanted to see how they look compared to other photos. I might just start posting more photos this way.

Feel free to give your opinion! :)

NOTE: Used for Seasonal Survival Challenge

Nurburgring Survival 10 Lap Seasonal Winner! 👍

DSC_0008.JPG

Excellent setup! Balanced car, agile and fast. Tyre wear is very balanced, only a tiny faster on the front. Gearbox perfectly balanced and adjusted to the effort on the most wet part of the race.

Fuel comsuption is good. Only noticed that in certain parts of the track the suspension is a bit hard (car starts to bounce).

Other then that... 👍

Great job Mr.B! :)

And of course:

NOTE: At 520pp on Sports Hard will give a fun race at Brands Hatch Seasonal. Then try Tour of Europe on both SH and SS. Up pp to 550 and enjoy Supercar Festival, then try on 600pp. Tuned at Brands Hatch and Monza. Sports Hrad Tires!
Hi Bowtie 👍, I’m redoing races with all the MP4’s I bought for the CoTM, buying a car for almost each tune I did put a dent in my wallet so I thought let’s make them work a little and get me back my credits. Your the only one I used the same car for multiple setups, your ad did say “ Three cars in one”. Good thing, it did bring the cost down quite a bit. I used the 600PP version, because it was just one of those days I was in ‘need for speed’.

Super Car Festival: De La Sarthe
I did win but I somehow felt I wasn’t getting as much speed as I wanted, when reaching very high speeds the car is a bit unsteady and doesn’t appreciate the variable textures put in the road by the good people of France, it’s nothing dramatic, I didn’t even put a scratch in it and it made the fun factor go up a couple of notches.👍

Super - Willow Springs 20-mile Challenge
Went in with SS, pit stop after lap 5, didn’t push the car too its limits, I didn’t want it to become a spin-a-thon, easy win, car was beautiful, I mean the ‘Azure Blue’ was beautiful, the handling? Yeah, it was up too par with the color, it was a good fit with this track. 👍

15-Minute Races : Nurburgring Nordschliefe
This was a little more challenging , I did wish I would have had proper aero kits on, but we do with what we have, went easier into the curves and I was patient and waited for the right places to pass, the car handled well but it wasn’t really in the same class as the competition, the most fun from the 3 races I did.

A very fine car, handles better on the lower PP models but more exciting at 600PP. 👍

I did this a couple of days ago but hadn't time to post it, so this being the first quiet morning in a while (everyone is sleeping even the mouse), here it is, and a Merry Christmas to you and your family ;)

Bowtie-muscle has been extremely kind and has allowed me to feature one of my tunes in his garage, and so here we have my INTEGRA TYPE R (DC5) '04 at 550pp.

This car was tuned using a DS3 on Sports Softs with no driving aids whatsoever, and has been tuned to suit this specifically.

The Aesthetics stuff is all what I think suits the car the best, and I spent a lot of time trying to get it looking this good. The overall idea of its look is: A fast and nice looking street racer that looks like less than it is.

Stuff to know:

This car was originally just a test car for me to learn about FF drivetrains better. I drove it in over a dozen races of varying 'pp' and tyres, and with the money that the car made; I tuned. In one case I managed to beat an FXX at the Autumn ring in this car with a similar setup. After testing it on several tracks I found that this particular setup was pretty good all round for me. This car performed especially well at Eiger Nordwand Short track, where it surpassed the times of my RX-7, NSX Type r, and Nissan R33 GTR, by a few seconds. Around Trial Mountain it runs at about 1:30.xxx without nitro. It can run average 7:15.xxx times around Nurburgring fairly easily, and has once achieved a 7:11.xxx without the nitro. With a better driver I am sure it could do better, and maybe even reach the Nissan GTR Nismo official time.

Random fact: I managed to do a full front flip on the jump at Eiger Nordwand by smashing and holding the brakes in mid air; it landed, did an endo, and then flipped clean over.

This was perhaps the first car I started to use without ABS, and it was a good learning experience: It tends to smoke the front tyres from 200-150 km/h when braking hard, but it does not lose too much traction as a result, and its deceleration does not decrease as a result. Trail braking is also not a problem; it can actually be used to gain grip on corner exit if you drive with a heavy throttle. It is necessary to use the gears a lot in certain corners, and can take a while to learn grip patterns with gearing, but it all comes with time. On longer corners at certain speeds this car is extremely fast, and maintains a lot of grip the whole way around. On most corners the car pulls 1.5 g's or so, but on more intense corners it reaches 2.0 g's and over.

I have tried to decrease the understeer that most FF cars suffer, and it works well with this car, but corner exits have always given me trouble. However, it is extremely sporty and competitive for an FF car; it is the fastest one I own; the fastest I have driven also.

I would like to thank Bowtie-muscle for letting this tune be displayed, and I hope that anyone who wishes for a good FF car can find what they want in this tune.

This is a little experiment, trying to see how easy it is to copy from the community of my favorites and if they will stay if I remove them from my favorites. Also wanted to see how they look compared to other photos. I might just start posting more photos this way.

Feel free to give your opinion! :)
I started doing the same thing. Are you getting the full resolution pics though ?

The resolution I believe not, but the size is possible (Google Chrome):
  • "Inspect element"
  • Select picture code line
  • Use the parameters in red box

Yeah I'm doing the same thing but just pasting the code with the photo destination in a new window so i save it it at 1920x1080. I think you are doing the same thing but easier. Can you save it from the "inspect element" window ?

that brings up a list of all the photos and then you have to find the one you want. it is useful for some of the other pics on the site though. I have found that the easiest and quickest way to get the url you need though is just to click on and then copy the link that comes up in the window after you click on the image code:

and delete the parentheses and "url" text. we still end up with the same results though 👍

that's it from me though, i kind of feel like we highjacked bowtie's garage. sorry man.
