10 years ago I was living on a large tree farm in Tasmania (the little island south of mainland Australia). It's the only place I've ever encountered a serpent in the wild and a lesson I'll never forget.
Picture me running through long grass with (what seemed like) my feet at shoulder height just like in the cartoons & my heart trying it's best to break through my rib cage.
I'm sure my legs had a .5 second lead on the rest of me.

I get the heebie jeebies just watching spiders on TV. I've never been able to watch Arachnophobia the movie I'm that bad.

I'm the same exact way. I will admit that it's an irrational, wussy thing to be scared of. I can't help it. I've literally vomited at the sight of some tiny spiders. I couldn't even imagine living in that terrifying land of scary insects known as Australia. I would have died from a heart attack a long time ago.

I can appreciate that, but I have a thing for animals without legs. 8 legs I can deal with, slithering serpents?, not so much. If PD had snakes that slithered across the track, even if leading a race, I would run it over-put it in reverse to get it a second time-Then run it over again. I've done that in the few rare occasions I've seen them trying to cross roads here in the sticks. Unfortunately, we have them here at the shop in the summer time, nothing like going outside to get to the bathroom (on the side of the building, only access from outside) and see one Sun bathing. Lucky if it stays in long enough to get to the restroom if you know what I mean. Two have ventured into the shop on their own, but did not leave that way.:mischievous:
I don't like snakes, brings out the little school girl in me:embarrassed:. Fun to sprinkle salt on them and watch THEM squirm.:dopey:

I had a pet Tarantula when I was growing up, I use to let it walk around on me when I was watching TV. :crazy:

They are actually quite soft and if you don't piss it off it won't bite you.

I would be laying in my bed watching TV and it would rest on my stomach, I had a t-shirt on, they don't like it too warm.

I've had lizard's, fish like Oscar's which eat goldfish and a snake too. :D :)

I'm with you, not as much as snakes do, but that still creeps me out:scared:
They are actually quite soft and if you don't piss it off it won't bite you.

I would be laying in my bed watching TV and it would rest on my stomach, I had a t-shirt on, they don't like it too warm.

I've had lizard's, fish like Oscar's which eat goldfish and a snake too. :D :)
