Nice dont you ever sleep? It should be around 6 in da morning wherever you are.

"justin.....go to bed"

I reckon that Alonso will get 4th or lower. The McLarens will be in front as long as they aren't let down which means Kimi then JPM. Button will push hard to be near the top and show BAR why they couldn't do without him and therefore Alonso will let him get on with it, there being no point in risking the car or himself this close to the finnish.

Now Alsono is 25 points ahead of Kimi but with Kimi gaining 5 points that would leave him 20 points behind Alonso which means winning the last 2 races with a DNF from Alonso in both, difficult but not impossible. Japan will be the most likely start of the celebrations though.

However if Alonso is getting pushed further and further down the list due to pehapes Rubens trying to get a good finish at his home race or maybe Sato finally putting it all together and proving to BAR why he should keep his seat for next season then the points gap will decrease more in Kimi's favour.

Considering again the points gap, if Alonso doesn't score any points in the first 2 of these last 3 races then he will have to race in China and get better than fourth, which means the championship either be drawn or won by 1 or 2 points. Has this ever happened before?

why dont you just not bother with when i do sleep, keep it on topic and just leave me alone other then the topic at hand.

as to that thing happening before, how close was the end of the 94 season? it all came down to like one turn.

Coming from a new member.

Your pyshic is wrong anyway.

If you would have checked my profile you would have found out that I have been here 4 months longer than you, I am only classified as a new member because I don't post alot.

:dunce:

you know it doesnt matter how long you;ve been here (as i would rule more or less) or how many posts you have. what really matters is the content of your posts.

which yeah half the time that doesnt say much about me either. lol.

Ive been here over 2.5 years (:p ), now you guys stop it before a mod comes in and gives you guys a warning!

Personally im hoping for MS to do well 👍

i've been here since 1999 but it doesnt matter. this is an f1 thread.

for this race i like button and rubens. button because he drives for my favorite team and rubens because not only is it his home gp and i want him to do well since hes had such bad luck but he will be driving for my favorite team next year so i'm going to be rooting for him the rest of the year because of that.

i resent that. he brought it up i'm just defending myself. i thought we left that crap behind us. i actually watch f1 and have a bit to say about it from time to time.

Renault are bring in an updated car, more ooooooooomph in the engine.

I recommend that if you both (PSI Civic and Young Warrior) wish to continue your argument, then do so by using Private Messaging, MSN or some other means... just don't do it here. Either keep your posts strictly on-topic, or keep them to yourself. ;)

that might work to put alanso on par with kimi... if it holds. givin their reliability though i think it should.

Why would they replace an reliable engine with an unreliable one, I would have thought they have gave it many a milage of testing.

this is jsut what I've been waiting for, a flame war between the two most childish immature members on gtplanet

Looks like its gonna be three then cause if your so mature why comment.
An mipaul or whatever your name is then your pretty much just a forum lurker. Ive lurked this place since 2004.

Seeing as the renaults now have more power in their engines I hope they will suffer from reliability problems.

i dont want to continue at all! i had forgot all about it.

thats a good point bee. only mclaren puts unreliable engines in their cars. renault has been pretty good with it though.

You wouldn't be laughing if someone got injured from a reliability problem after saying that, like i said, why replace a prefectally reliable engine with a unreliable one?

You would be as stupid as McMerc then...

If it came down to a draw Kimi would win because he would have the most wins.

There have been a few close championships, in 1958 it came down to 1 point, ditto 1961. Again in 1964. The 70s had one too, in 1976 James Hunt won from Niki Lauda by one point. 1981 saw Nelson Piquet win the championship by one point and 1984 saw the closest ever margin when Niki Lauda won from Alain Proxt by half a point! 1994 saw another championship decided by 1 point and the closest recently was 2003 when MSC won from Kimi by 2 points.

Jenson Button was quite clearly the happiest man in Interlagos yesterday
after negotiating his release from his 2006 Williams contract - and the
media had plenty of fun trying to guess just what it cost him.

“The last few days have been the high point of my season,” the 25 year-old
Englishman said after it was confirmed that he will be partnered for the
foreseeable future at BAR by Rubens Barrichello. “After resolving this issue
with Frank Williams it is unbelievable how much more relaxed I feel. Now I
am able to focus on what is important.

“I’m ecstatic that we have sorted the situation. The contract was between
Frank and me and that was how we sorted it, between the two of us. Trust me,
it hurts.

“It was not a nice situation to be in, but I’d like to say thank you to
Frank because we were able to stop it before it went any further. Obviously
when it all finally happened I was a very happy person. We all knew what we
wanted, and it’s best for all of the people involved. I’m so excited about
the future. This is where it starts with BAR Honda. It’s not been cheap for
me, but I’m sure it will be worth it for the future.”

Button said he is very excited about the future, and of his new team-mate he
said: “He has a lot of experience and brings a lot to the team. He’s a very
capable driver and it’s good to have a new challenge. Off the circuit I
think we will work really well together, while on it we will be deadly
rivals.”

BAR were not able to make any comment on their third driver or test drivers
for 2006, however. Team principal Nick Fry said that they would do
everything they could to help Takuma Sato with his future, which suggests
that the Japanese driver will not feature in the line-up but is most likely
seeking a race drive elsewhere. GP2 race winner and BAR young driver
programme member Adam Carroll could feature highly in any plans.

You are forgetting 1997 and 1999.

Even though Schumi was disqualified in 1997, He was leading the championship by only 1 point going in to Jerez.

In 1999 Mika Häkkinen won the championship over Eddie Irvine (the most underskilled driver to ever place so highly in a championship in my opinion) by 2 points thanks to winning the last race in Suzuka. I almost had a heartattack seeing Mika slow down almost to a stop in the last corner.

Alonso is making F1 boring. I might not watch this next race.

What are you smoking? Alonso has driven a beautiful season and it has been great to watch he and Kimi battle it out. Much more interesting than Micheal and Ferrari whomping the field for 5 years straight. This season has been one of the best seasons ofr racing in 10+ years.

I don't count Alonso among my favorite drivers but the guy deserves alot of respect. If you would have told me 2 years ago that Alonso would be driving for the championship in 05 I would have pointed and laughed. Alonso has really come together this year. He doesn't make (as many) of those stupid mistakes he used to. his driving is smooth, confident and steady. More important than that his race craft (see Imola 05) is amazing.

Ok I take that back. Compared to until a couple of races ago alonso has made F1 boring.

Ummm...why? Because he has driven very well and has a car that is fast AND reliable?

You make no sense.

being uneventfull might make things a bit more boring but thats what it takes to win races. good pace and keeping out of trouble.
