pSI civicooooooo an off-topic recall to a different thread about an avatar i had 2 avatars ago. can you even be on topic? do me a favor and stfu.
Young_WarriorComing from a new member.
Your pyshic is wrong anyway.
pSI civicthat might work to put alanso on par with kimi... if it holds. givin their reliability though i think it should.
Touring MarsI recommend that if you both (PSI Civic and Young Warrior) wish to continue your argument, then do so by using Private Messaging, MSN or some other means... just don't do it here. Either keep your posts strictly on-topic, or keep them to yourself.![]()
[FPV]Rustythis is jsut what I've been waiting for, a flame war between the two most childish immature members on gtplanet
Young_WarriorSeeing as the renaults now have more power in their engines I hope they will suffer from reliability problems.
BeeRenault are bring in an updated car, more ooooooooomph in the engine.
If it came down to a draw Kimi would win because he would have the most wins.TMMConsidering again the points gap, if Alonso doesn't score any points in the first 2 of these last 3 races then he will have to race in China and get better than fourth, which means the championship either be drawn or won by 1 or 2 points. Has this ever happened before?
Jenson Button was quite clearly the happiest man in Interlagos yesterday
after negotiating his release from his 2006 Williams contract - and the
media had plenty of fun trying to guess just what it cost him.
“The last few days have been the high point of my season,” the 25 year-old
Englishman said after it was confirmed that he will be partnered for the
foreseeable future at BAR by Rubens Barrichello. “After resolving this issue
with Frank Williams it is unbelievable how much more relaxed I feel. Now I
am able to focus on what is important.
“I’m ecstatic that we have sorted the situation. The contract was between
Frank and me and that was how we sorted it, between the two of us. Trust me,
it hurts.
“It was not a nice situation to be in, but I’d like to say thank you to
Frank because we were able to stop it before it went any further. Obviously
when it all finally happened I was a very happy person. We all knew what we
wanted, and it’s best for all of the people involved. I’m so excited about
the future. This is where it starts with BAR Honda. It’s not been cheap for
me, but I’m sure it will be worth it for the future.”
Button said he is very excited about the future, and of his new team-mate he
said: “He has a lot of experience and brings a lot to the team. He’s a very
capable driver and it’s good to have a new challenge. Off the circuit I
think we will work really well together, while on it we will be deadly
rivals.”
BAR were not able to make any comment on their third driver or test drivers
for 2006, however. Team principal Nick Fry said that they would do
everything they could to help Takuma Sato with his future, which suggests
that the Japanese driver will not feature in the line-up but is most likely
seeking a race drive elsewhere. GP2 race winner and BAR young driver
programme member Adam Carroll could feature highly in any plans.
BlakeIf it came down to a draw Kimi would win because he would have the most wins.
There have been a few close championships, in 1958 it came down to 1 point, ditto 1961. Again in 1964. The 70s had one too, in 1976 James Hunt won from Niki Lauda by one point. 1981 saw Nelson Piquet win the championship by one point and 1984 saw the closest ever margin when Niki Lauda won from Alain Proxt by half a point! 1994 saw another championship decided by 1 point and the closest recently was 2003 when MSC won from Kimi by 2 points.

Young_WarriorAlonso is making F1 boring. I might not watch this next race.
If I forgot 1997 and 1999 then I suppose you want me to mention all of the 2 point victories: 1983, 1986, 1997, 1999, 2003 .... Ok, so there's not that many, but I only wanted to mention 1 pointers and the most recent close finishmipuumalYou are forgetting 1997 and 1999.
Even though Schumi was disqualified in 1997, He was leading the championship by only 1 point going in to Jerez.
In 1999 Mika Häkkinen won the championship over Eddie Irvine (the most underskilled driver to ever place so highly in a championship in my opinion) by 2 points thanks to winning the last race in Suzuka. I almost had a heartattack seeing Mika slow down almost to a stop in the last corner.
kenseiWhat are you smoking? Alonso has driven a beautiful season and it has been great to watch he and Kimi battle it out. Much more interesting than Micheal and Ferrari whomping the field for 5 years straight. This season has been one of the best seasons ofr racing in 10+ years.
I don't count Alonso among my favorite drivers but the guy deserves alot of respect. If you would have told me 2 years ago that Alonso would be driving for the championship in 05 I would have pointed and laughed. Alonso has really come together this year. He doesn't make (as many) of those stupid mistakes he used to. his driving is smooth, confident and steady. More important than that his race craft (see Imola 05) is amazing.
Young_WarriorOk I take that back. Compared to until a couple of races ago alonso has made F1 boring.
Small_FryzIf only F1 could pass, then the racing will be better.
