At the minute Nel the majority seem happy with the current regulations mate so we roll with that same for everyone i spose. Impossible for us to keep everyone happy i really should stop trying Gedi keeps telling me lol.:ouch:

Oh I thought reading the comments people like the idea of RH's only :dopey:, I think Im gonna to asleep haha.

What seems wrong then Esprit?:)

Don't you think the points system seems a bit unfair. I wish I didn't get promoted in to the D1 because i would of get way more points if i stayed in D2.

If you had been in D2 you would have lost 10pts straight away

More grip less incidents i dont half struggle for what people want sometimes:lol:

I'm very happy with current regs only brought it up because people are not happy with tyre wear using softs!

But then I would of been running at the font of the pack as i had to same pace as Esprit and as the table shows I would of been better off. They are coming 12th over all but then they get more points than the person who come like 5th to me that doesn't make scene you should be rewarded more for getting in to D1.

People meaning 2 or people meaning 20 if there was mass hysteria then im sure we would act but i dont think there is.?:nervous:

One problem was D2 ended up quiet where as D1 ran both races with 11 its how the cookie crumbles could be the other way round another week.:indiff:

You gave carbon 10 points to many..

I was thinking how the hell did he get 19 points when he got a 8th and 11th..

He should be on 9 points

5 for race 1 I think and 4 for race 2..

That might be the wrong way round but it's defiantly 9 points..

Umm, the 10 points for getting into Division 1 :dunce:

Won't really matter too much as I'm likely a goner already, but just had to come by to protect my honor, or what's left of it :dopey:

Carb no stress let us know tomorrow its cool either way:tup: Anyone know what happened to R35 he was about at one stage wasnt he?

Esprit how do you get your tires to last that long yet go so fast?

This was a masterclass, Esprit streaked away from me on tyres that were 2 laps older... very impressive.

I 4 stopped and got a podium in the feature, well happy with that. I know I had a few thunks with people, for that I apologise.
Anyone who want's a laugh can watch my exit to the final turn on the final lap of the sprint... was fixed to draft Haitch and Tom for 4th, booted it too hard and promptly got spat onto the grass. I could have cried...

I'm happy with the tires as they are, managing the softs was actually quite fun.

Bottom line, I had a great night. Roll on Suzuka!

If in doubt, cheat! (Not really cheating.) Approach a tuner or two here on GTPlanet to make you a tune. Desperado was around last Season and offered to help anyone. I would say that nearly all of the Tuners in the F.I.T.T. events would help if approached.

Good to hear Jhodas proves there is some method in the points system we both had the same results 3rd and 6th i think:dunce: yet the 10 bonus points benefited me being in div 1. 19 & 29 respectively.

Some comments and thinking on the tirewear thing.

If there are overall stronger tirewear, the more important managing your wear will be. ITs hard to explain, but basically with an overall stronger tirewear, if doing an additional stop, there are fewer laps with fresher tires to go fast at making up for the additional ~30sec pitstop. On a long multible pitstop race, prior to the tirewear change ,by PD, on RS tires you typically pitted when there was 35% left on the tires. Now you run them to the very end, having maybe 15-20% left.

This doesn't matter as long as all the cars has similar tirewear. I think all cars of similar HP/Weight/downforce have the same overall tirewear. The problem aries if you for some reason cannot get even front/rear tirewear. I think most of the cars in this series can achieve even tirewear, but the two problem cars are the Jag and probably the Dodge. They are more front heavy than the other cars and have a more of a natural understeer than the other cars. As a comparison, on my Vette I had more of a rear tirewear issue, but that is much easier to manage driving it than an excessive front tirewear. If having excessive front tirewear and it cannot be tuned away, the only thing you can do is to drive slow and thats not an appealing proposition. In the race, I think jonzter had great pace with the Jag, but he was hurt by front tires going off.

I had a first quick stab trying to tune the Jag for more even tirewear, but it didn't work all that well. I have another idea and will see how it works out.

I'm 99% confident that with todays tire rule, using only RS tires all the way is the way to go. With it, managing tirewear is extremely important. I think that is fun, but I can understand if some people gets frustrated. If we think managing tirewear has gotten too important in our racing, a switch to RM tires would lessen the importance of tirewear. Not a big deal in my view, and it might increase the funfactor for this racing league, and having fun is why we do this in the first place.

Just my two Swedish Öre.

Sail, please accept my FR (Milldrum) on the PS3. Then you need to pick a ticket for me to send you. But I can't send any unless you accept me first.

My two Australian Cents on tyre wear:
I believe what JB and Gedi believe. I am just a sponsor. I have no say.

But I thought the rule was racing tyres of your choosing. So if someone chose the wrong tyres, then that would be their problem for not doing enough of the right testing before the race.
