No, something entirely different. It's not BTCC, but a one-make supporting championship. I'm thinking of using Corsas, and having a little mini-series with those, called the BTCC Corsa Cup. Probably no more than 5 rounds.

Yes duh and 2 of em. Opel and Vauxhall ;).

Scarely has alot of my mums old cars :scared:. (Corsa, 406 coupe and a few more..)
 
I'm interested in doing a test race with the Corsas after BTCC one Thursday (perhaps next week), if anyone is up for a bit of fun 👍

Already got specs, tracks and regulations in mind 👍
 
Have you got a stockpile of Corsas? :lol:

So I'm guessing you want to start it in a week or two and have 1 race at each of the remaining 5 rounds of the season

I've only got two, and one's mine :sly: But yeah I do have one on offer.

Erm, yeah could do. It can overrun a little bit I suppose, because I'm not planning on doing BTCC-5 straight after this season. I'm not in a massive hurry, but if I can get it going during this season then great.

Chances are we'd do one race after BTCC on a Thursday. 👍
 
147bhp, 900kg. Comfort:Soft tyres, Aero banned, Turbos banned.

Tyre Wear on Fast for the minute, but all other regs the same as BTCC. Needs testing.

EDIT: Found a 3rd Corsa in the UCD. Who wants it? Corsa sent by the way gedi 👍

Just fancy using Corsas for now. Real BTCC has the Clio Cup, but we already have a BTCC Clio and the Clio Cup has been attempted before on GTP, by paulmac I believe.

This series is a one-off for now, but if I get in the mood to do another support cup I'll use a different car. Top candidates for the future include Ford Ka and Fiat Punto.

Can't guarantee this will be a regular thing though (unless someone else wants to run it).

i'm in the middle of DL a very heavy file i can't stop... so i guess today i won't be foolingaround with the corsa :/ if someone manages to dupe enough of them i would take one :)
 
Doesn't look like i'll be able to make it tonight afterall....maybe try it sometime during the week.

Are we gona be running the corsa race after this weeks deep forrest races???

We can do a test race after BTCC, if people are free (and if the race even goes ahead as planned). The actual Cup won't start for another week or two after that.

The plan for the Corsas is one 15-minute race per week, I'm thinking. Unsure about tyre wear at the moment so not sure on pit stops. Championship-wise, either 3, 4 or 5 rounds. Tracks such as GVE, Tsukuba, Suzuka East, Cape Ring Inside, Clubman Route 5, Autumn Ring Mini.. those sorts. Possibly London if there's no pit stops. Short-ish tracks.
 
i've never run with tyre wear above normal......how bad is the tyre wear on fast??? will that mean more than one stop????
