The first five Team Death Matches I went on were all on the same map, Havana, which I don't really like. So far I prefer the Array, Crisis and WMD maps.
 
I think it's called Hanoi :confused: The night map with the prison searchlights casing the grounds, that's probably my favourite snd map so far.

Array is fun for sniping with the 3x scope too.

It's hard to explain where but in your stats there's a dummy/mannequin that shows in red where all your bullets have hit your enemies in the past few games.

Nice score btw was it TDM or domination?

I surprised a few people on Array because they didn't think that anyone could climb through one of the windows in the central building. One guy started moaning after I climbed up on a box near the window and shot him.

Btw, my dummy/mannequin shows that i've been hit mostly in the Torso, which isn't very surprising.

I could fire across map with an ak47 and kill a guy in 3 bullets just by holding the trigger down firing full auto in mw2 . Black Ops you need to burst fire at medium range let alone cross map.

The 3rd sniper is decent but they've made it so much harder to quickscope. Mw2 was a heap more noob friendly.

It sounds like you've never played a game that has ACTUAL recoil.

MW2 recoil was laughable, and from what I've seen of Black Ops, recoil is still pretty laughable.

Play some CS 1.6, get back to me on what recoil is.

That aside, I'm waiting to actually but this for quite some time, given the cluster*&@* MW2 was with poorly thought out perks and such.
 
I noticed that in the six hours I spent playing online, not one person that I came across was using a Sniper Rifle. Is this because no one has found any decent Sniping positions yet?

Nah it's because the Sniper Rifles suck. I know they wanted to nerf it to please the moaners but they've just killed it off completely.
 
Having the capability to kill in one round is one thing, hitting the guy before he drills you with assault rifle or SMG rounds is another. I haven't played Black Ops so I don't know how it is, but try one yourself and see how it goes.

Edit: I already have my copy waiting for me when I go back to Uni on Thursday, it's been there since Monday :lol:.
 
I don't tend to use Sniper Rifles much, but I've unlocked the WA2000 so I might test it out next time I go online.

Ahh I've seen your type in lobbies. You might be better off in mw2 noob. Black Ops actually has recoil and requires skill to shoot someone. Aim for the head.

It's fully auto with little to zero recoil and a hideously high rate of fire, come up against one of these with a capable handler and you're as good as dead before you've even began to think about shooting him :(.
 
I've been playing the campaign for a little bit now and it's pretty interesting. I'm partially lost but still following it losely. I do like the jumoing around in history though, that's pretty cool.

As far as online goes, I'm liking the Enfield right now. I'm not sure I like the whole buying aspect of the game though, that seems odd. And I still don't really understand all the menus yet, or why you have to be level 13 to get your stats. Overall though it's typical Call of Duty so it's awesome ad I'm getting back in my odd habbits of wanting to play it all the time.
 
Are the people talking of no recoil playing on PS3? I had the last guy AFK in snd so I took my time to make sure I had it aimed right on his head and I fired about 10 shots full auto with the famas and it didn't kill him. Then after he healed I burst fired 4 shots in the space of 1.5 - 2 seconds, the 3rd missing and the 4th hitting and killing him.

I finished the campaign tonight. Thought it was really good actually. Will say that vehicles controls are sketchy at best.
 
So, I'm guessing the new thing to do is make all storylines revolve around America on the verge of destruction. But, they did a good job keeping the story seem modern; I forgot a few times the story was actually in the 60's. Had a nice little plot twist in it, but the ending seemed...eh, a bit forced.

Not sure at all where this game had extreme violence or over the top torture scenes. Some were a bit gor-ish, but nothing different from movies.
 
Wow - i'm already let down by this game

I feel like i'm playing COD 5 WAW and i couldnt be bothered with that either as COD4 was much better.

The games graphics are rubbish to say the least - all jaggy - compared to MW2 its a massive step back graphically.

I guess treyarch will never make a game as good as IW did.

I'll put some more time into MP to see if my opinion changes but campaign is getting dodged.
 
I rented the game for the xbox.
I like the story, gonna rent it one more day to finish the story.

Didn't try the MP because my Xbox is only offline, sad that the bots require Live (which defies the concept of bots).

If it wouldn't be Acti. i would buy it for PC, but paying for overpriced DLC and supporting Kotick, no thanks. Not doing the same mistake as MW2, where the MP was spoilt after a month with glitchers and cheaters....
Happy enough with my BFBC2 with free dlc
 
This game is good until you try and party up. I have gone up 3 levels in 4 hours just trying to stay in a party and get into a :censor:ing game. It is pissing me off so much I am about to rage hardcore. I just want to play a game, not spend 1million laggy hours trying to find one and DCing/ freezing all the time. The menus and crap just fail at life, they run terribly on the PS3. I have JUST been kicked out of a loading screen for the uptrillionth time for either synchronising or awaiting connection.

I am just really angry right now...
 
I find that with all call of duty games when 1st released, you actually cant stay in a party ! (at least with 360 with party chat when your buddys are kicked out of the cod party you can still talk to each other to team up again)

I probably wont stay in a party long enough to play because the graphics are hurting my eyes with uglyness

WOW your cool WOW, anyway graphics that are fine???

What game maker goes from a great looking game MW2 and then brings out a shambles like BO in terms of graphical quality.

I dont care if its two different developers, Treyarch should be embarrassed - I spent £40 on a game that looks and plays like WAW. How would you like it if GT5 looked worse than GT5P?



Oh yeah WOW Your moaning about connection when every single COD game has connection problems when released - if you have actually played other COD games you would know this already. Its nothing new they will never move from P2P as they are too tight to use dedicated servers. So yeah moaning about something that has happened to the last 4 COD titles...... Just wow
