Hmm I'm not sure where I heard that so its possible they didn't know what they were talking about. I guess I might try it.

Do you have any idea as to why I didn't get credit towards ghost pro for shooting down a recon plane? I am going for that next and since I don't have the strela-3 I was using the M72. Does it have to be choppers only or something?

Nah I did it with the M72 I shot down everything. Even care package helicopters. The spy-planes/counter spy-planes counted for me otherwise I would have never got Pro.

I don't know about ghost pro. I actually haven't even been trying to get any of the stuff unlocked. Just playing the game for right now.

Well I know I shot it down and it counted towards the number of spy planes shot down but under ghost pro it still lists 0 shot down. I'll probably try it again tomorrow. I'll be unlocking the other one soon though so maybe that will work better.

Spy Planes definately work with the first launcher you get for getting Ghost Pro, that's how I got it also and then used the tip I got here (possibly from Vash) of running Sentry Gun and letting an enemy steal it, then follow them and stab it.

I'm only about 3 miles from Marathon Pro now, I picked up Warlord Pro, Scavenger Pro and Hardened Pro tonight. Leaving me with Hacker, Second Chance, Tactical Mask, Flak Jacket and Scout to Pro. The completionist in me is making me lean towards getting Pro for everything, I certainly didn't care in MW2 but I'm not going to prestige as usual and I have already got a fair amount of Pro perks I feel it wouldn't take long to clean up the rest bar a couple of iffy challenges here and there.

I unlocked the AK47 also which is an absolute monster to me, I just found it very easy to manage (was running Dual Mags attachment), helping me get my first Gunship, my first legit dogs and legit chopper gunner (aka non-care package) after I finally decided to spend some of my cash on high streak rewards. I was running Lightweight Pro, Sleight of Hand Pro and Marathon, which turned out to be a very powerful set up, as did running Hardened which is a perk I underestimated hugely.

Went 18-2 in a TDM on Radiation on my private account O.o

I'm amazed how good I am at this. :D

I finally got the game and have been just killing people like I am Tejb or something. I can completely see all of the people that came over from MW2, they try to do things like knife you from way away and try to run through your bullets to knife you. I currently have only Hardline Pro, I am working on Ghost pro right now. Lightweight pro will take me a while, I tried for about an hour today to do the capture 10 flags deal and didn't get a single one....

I got knifed by a guy that had the noobtube on his M16 active... there's two things I have to say on that. 1) he came from MW2 as *nobody* who knows how to play BO properly uses the noobtube and 2) panic knifing is the biggest load of crap in Black Ops. I've been killed by the knife at least three times more often than every other type of equipment combined. It's ridiculous how someone can run into you as you turn a corner, only for them to mash down on the right stick and instantly kill you. :irked: I wish Treyarch would either make the knife a secondary or make it a two-hit kill unless it's a backstab.

Well, best KD thus far is 10 in a match, and best score is 30/8. Quite liking the M14 and M16 rifles, and have quite a few kills with the ASP as well now.

I do have to say the hit detection seems quite iffy at times, and why on earth do I have to hit someone twice in the head with a silenced AR sometimes is beyond me.

And at least Commando isn't a round anymore

I'm finding the RC XD much more irritating then knifing, I was well on for a flawless on Hanoi last night at 13-0, Gunship in the bag ready and I got blown to pieces by an RC car. I instantly called in my Gunship for revenge and got about 12 with that, ultimately finishing 27-2. The RC XD is the single cause of many flawless games being ruined for me, it throws me massively as well once I get killed by the thing I just lose my flow and ended up tolling up a couple more deaths.

I'm pretty sure I have gone flawless, but only with around 10 kills or less, anytime I'm on an absolute tear "enemy RC XD in-*BOOM!*". Once I'm running Ghost again I'll hopefully have a better chance of posting up a high kill no death game.

Flak Jacket is your friend ;) Now if only Flak Jacket Pro made the knife a 2-hit kill... one can dream. Odds of that ever happening is less than zero.

For me BO is the most enjoyable COD in quite a while, as I never could get on that well with MW2.

To be honest it actually has less issues at launch than any of the previous titles I have played (40+ min wait to find a match when COD4 launched was not fun).

I far prefer the unlock system as its let me aim for the set-ups I prefer, rather than having to grind through a ton of kit that I care little for.

Good idea, but ultimately I find for me Ghost Pro to be by far the best perk for the slot unless it's something like CTF where Lightweight is very useful. I'm generally not where all the explosions are, it's just the damn RC car which seems to frequently hunt me though I do feel your pain on the knife as well.

That said, it's not a game breaker and I'm really enjoying Black Ops, particularly compared to MW2, to the point where this could well be my favourite so far and I've played all the Playstation versions . I think I might even prefer it to COD4s multiplayer thanks to the lack of Juggernaut and 3x Frag spam. I almost felt silly buying it just before I found out GT5 was coming soon but I don't regret my purchase at all, it may not be massively original but it is sure executed well and to add to that I've not had any real server or connection issues at all.

Okay, the textures in this game do leave a lot to be desired...

The spawn system is just as broken as before. I've killed someone just to have him respawn with me right in the middle of his sights.

wow ok NOW i know what everyone is talking about on veteran. I beat the campaign on normal and then decided to go back through on Veteran. The first 2 levels were nothing. Then I got to the tunnels on level 3 (Executive Order) after I blow up the huge rocket and dang no kidding, I tried for an hour and could not get past the tunnels. I have 2 other friends that are also stuck in this exact same spot. I finally just gave up. My rental also ran out so it looks like I am done with this game anyway until I possibly buy it. Its a good game but not worth $60.00 IMO.

Did anyone else find the campaign way too short? I beat it on normal in a day.

Very enjoyable game. Single player not long, but not too short either. I like the fact that you can buy whatever you want in multiplayer, got myself a rather stealthy character already, and I'm just level 6. :)

I felt single player was fairly long, but it took me three days because of school and work. I'd love for it to be some long drawn out campaign that takes forever to finish. After awhile it may get old, but the story was pretty fun and I'd love to play it for a week or two, but that's just me :D.

I could have finished it in a single day, but I broke up my gameplay over 3 days. I spent about 2 hours doing the campaign and then i'd have a go at online multiplayer. CoD campaigns tend to be about 6 or 7 hours in length, which is quite short.

Treyarch has said a few days ago that in the next patch or so which will be soon they are doing something about the sound issue everyone is having. I will be glad because I can't count how many times I have been knifed from behind because everyone in the game has petite feet.....

OMG! How do you sign up to CallofDuty.com? I register and it keeps taking me to the same page over and over! Then after a while it rejects my registration form because my email is already in use! Yet when I try log in it takes me to the registration form!
ARGH. All I want to do is show you guys a sweet double humiliation in the dying seconds of a sticks and stones game which took me from 5th to 3rd.

I think it's just a bit broken at the moment, server load I imagine. Lucky for me I was already registered though it made me reconfirm it which took some time (kept saying I hadn't confirmed had to keep re-using the same link to log in but it works now). My youtube is linked fine also but remember it takes a fair while to get your clips up. Here's my second clip from the end of a Sharpshooter wager match where I went on a tear on the final weapon, Python with speed loader.

I've managed to register now. Somehow got through and accepted my password. Any idea how long it takes clips to show up in My Theatre? Do they go to Youtube automatically?

A fairly long time but it varies and so far hasn't been to major, mine popped up on youtube when I checked at about half 6, I uploaded it about 12. I would say if it's not up within the day it might be worth redoing just incase.

Nice shooting dragonistic :)

Have not decided if I want this game or not, heard much negative and positiv respons. With so few days to GT5 I might drop BO...Had much connection problems with WAW, how is connection compared to MW2?

I wish the guns were like that too. Not a big fan of having to level up AND buy the gun after.

The spawning is horrible, not only that people spawn behind you, but a lot of the time you spawn and then get shot instantly.

You need to blitz through those tunnels. That was the hardest part in the game for me. Once you learn all the enemy locations though then you can make it through but it's still tough. The last tunnel, after you go through a room where an enemy flips a table to use as cover you have to push because they will keep coming. Kill the guys close then move up to next cover, repeat until you get to end.

Has anyone tried G11 yet? Is it full auto or a 3 shot burst like campaign?

Nice work, now play for some real money :sly:. Personally although I earnt 7000+ really quickly playing wager match, I didn't much care for the mode as I don't like FFA anyway. I think the only one I would and did consider playing is Sharpshooter but it just isn't my thing, much prefer team games where I can use what I want.

Somewhat. I knocked it out in around 5 hours, I think (MOH took me close to 7+). Was surprised how many big name actors were actually the voices though.
