Weapon chart. AK74u is the only SMG worth using (every SMG that isn't a MP5K, AK74u or Skorpion is identical to every other), LMGs are outclassed in every possible way by the FAMAS and AUG (which, coincidentally, are the best assault rifles outside the G11), all of the shotguns take at least two shots to kill beyond 15 metres or so and the pistols are five-hit kills beyond 25 metres (except for the Python, which is a four-hit kill).

tl;dr, AK74u, FAMAS, AUG and G11 are the best guns in the game.

The Recoil values vary quite a bit for each SMG it looks like though.

Like I said earlier though, the AK74u is the new UMP...

A good player can use whatever weapon they like effectively.

Yes, I am aware of this. The issue is some weapons are considerably easier to use than others. Like how the SCAR and ACR were much easier to get kills with than the F2000 in all situations.

The fail was of another team mate last Wednesday :D. The whole theater system was bugged though and it wouldn't work. I saw Phil loading videos up so I figured it must be working and decided to try now.

It was in a normal TDM which I finished 40 kills to around 2 deaths :D!

The theater system really pissed me off last night because I had the best 5 man spray ever (and on BO it is almost impossible to do) and I went back after the match to save it and upload it and it recorded a game that I wasn't even in!:grumpy: It was the same map and game type, it just wasn't my game. And on another match that I tried to render it wasn't mine and I did a one shot burst 6 shots in a row with my silenced MP5 and killed a sniper from sniper distance, it was freaking awesome but of course theater screwed me on that clip as well....

AK74u + Warlord + grip + rapid fire = t3h lulz

The F2000 was awesome fun to use though. Absolutely horrible damage and accuracy, but hipfiring the bastard in CQB... hilarious stuff.

G11 is amazing. Sooo accurate and powerful.

The only mode I find this game fun in is CTF as the spawn system isn't completely shot. I'm at lvl 45 now.

Man I hate this game.
Has anyone else found they cannot connect to the server tonight after the update, or is it just me?.....

New patch is out.

@ VEXD, press select and change your search preferences to local only and/or DMZ your PS3.

I don't know if it's because I'm sick and tired, but I've lost interest in the game. I just have no desire to play, we'll see how it goes tomorrow.

Bah @ that chart. I find the Commando is less jumpy than the AK and Famas when spraying while ADS.

Naw man, it is all about the Olympia.

Well, it and the Tomahawk.

Only with Sleight of Hand :) It really is crazy fun.

I have a love/hate relationship with this game. When I'm not playing it I really want to play it but when I do play it I hate it oh so much.

The spawning system is whack (worse than MW2), the hitboxes are whack, the knifing is whack (although I'm guilty of pulling some bs knife), nuketown is whack, mot being able to turn mic receive volume down is whack, the fact that everyone is 100% silent is whack, getting host has left errors and being returned to the lobby all the time is whack and team balancing is whack (always 7v5 or 6v4, today I was in a 7v4 demolition). All IMO of course

It's a great game but these things annoy the hell out of me when I play. Hardcore is less bs but some of the issues still persist, thank god I have not seen nuketown in HTDM though. I'm guessing most of these issues (or all) will be addressed so I'm anxious to see the patches that they release for this game.

All that being said I can't wait to play again tomorrow and every day until GT5 comes out (probably beyond that too).

In case Treyarch stumbles across this post, please please please multiple logins for PS3 split-screen online play. Also, please please please custom music for PS3.
XOXOXO if you add those features.

I haven't had any of the problems most of you are talking about as far as connection and all goes. I think Treyarch can program better on the 360 or something because nobody I know that has it on 360 has had a problem and most on PS3 have had problems.

I don't have any rampage videos yet like the one above (👍) but I do have a nice butt shot double kill :D I laugh every time I watch him blast into the trash can the way he does.

If anyone wants a copy of this on PS3, PM me.

The more I play this, the more I am seeing huge issues. Hit detection is laughable at times, the party system is broken, and the Spawn system is pure wtf status.

75% of the time I die is because guys simply started spawning behind us. And not because we were even in their old spawn, it just arbitrarily starts spawning people behind you it seems.

The spawns are getting pretty old, especially while playing on nuketown:ouch:
I found this video and its just too funny:dopey: The music makes it even funnier, text language warning, just one but I like to cover myself :D

@ Cody - the party system is non-existent, not just broken. I tried inviting a mate to a combat training game, no dice. He then tried inviting me to his zombies lobby, same story. BO would always say "this game session is no longer available".

In terms of gameplay, BO trumps MW2. In terms of functionality, IW's title is waaaaaaaaay ahead.

what is a DMZ'd ps3?

Sticking the IP of your PS3 in your routers DMZ means it is placed in a zone before the firewall, which means that all ports are open and accessible.

Which is the lazy way of port forwarding.

I've had problems on both sides of spawning, people spawn behind me and kill me or I spawn right in front of someone and die.

I need to add party problems to my list of whack things  Have not really used it much but the times I did it never worked, I always got dropped.

Not for me :(

Demilitarized zone. You set the IP in your router of the device you want in the DMZ (aka PS3's ip address) and all connections made with that device are unprotected. No ports are blocked by the router and no firewall.

Simply put, the stats don't say it all. For example I'm finding the AK47 to be much more effective then my experience with the FAMAS, the recoil seems much more controllable to me and the 3 shot kill range is a little longer making it a more formidable mid range weapon I find. I find the FAMAS has heavy kick to one side, which means at range it kicks off target easier compared to another rifle such as the galil which has some more vertical kick which is more desirable as targets are generally taller then they are wide.

On a similar note, the LMGs aren't outclassed really it just depends what you do with them. Using the M60 with a grip makes it a very serious defensive weapon at range with such a large clip and high power if fired properly, but the reduced mobility and other factors make it poor for offensive purposes. The 74u is definately rising to the top of the SMGs though, I think that's the only gun which certainly seems to dominate it's class at this point in time. In other classes such as assault rifles they are generally to close to call and come down to personal preference.

Below is a good video from Woodysgamertag, showing the recoil patterns of the guns.

Even the spawns on nuke town are predictable. I have had one random spawn on that map where I spawned behind a camper and I'm sure he wasn't amused but I still won the game.

I respawned in the same place at least 6 times on Nuketown, which was right next to the enemy team's respawn point. It's frustrating when you get killed after respawning before you can even get your bearings. This tends to happen alot on Nuketown because it's such a small map, so my team's respawn point will be close to the other team's, in some cases just a few feet away.

Has everyone forgot about the map rust? The spawns were so bad on that map you'd get knifed in the back by the guy spawning in the same place as you at the same time. I'd say nuketown is an improvement.

And not secure on top of that. But it's a quick way to test if a port problem really is on your side and not your ISPs/other people. Can't say I've had too many problems keeping it closed and using UPnP. Only a few games with particularly crappy netcode, like CoD4. Black Ops runs just fine though, no port problems so far. :)

Yeah do not do it for PCs it's not safe. PS3 though is ok.

Has anyone unlocked the gold camo yet? In the game it reads as though you have to get to Prestige 1, Level 14 to get it unlocked but on the COD wiki it shows gold camo as the unlock for reaching Prestige 14! Which is it? I hope not Prestige 14 :(.

It says Prestige 14 in-game, not Prestige 1 level 14 :p

I actually died 6 times in about 20 seconds on Nuketown when someone was using Chopper Gunner because I kept respawning in the same place. I couldn't avoid it which was annoying.

The Rust map was rarely selected whenever I played on MW2, but I never encountered any problems with respawning on that map.
