How do you know it was a lagswitch? Are you sure that he wasn't the Host?
 
If someone would be kind enough to post the times during that video where this supposed lag switching occurs I'd pass a proper judgement, but if said person was the host then everyone would get connection interrupted every time he used it most likely and/or a huge lag spike for everyone. I don't want to scour 7 minutes of video to find it really.
 
I didn't see any jitters or anything in it.
 
I'm going to go ahead and take a stab at cases of 'magic bullets' I shouldn't need to explain what that is for most of you but I know plenty who mistake magic bullets for illegitimate play. Again though I haven't watched the video further then a minute or so.
 
Well I hit prestige this morning. My W/L dropped .10 right after. Not having your classes is super hard. I only had one ghost class before but without it I was helpless against the other team most games.

At 13s I guess the guy and his 2nd player have 4 bars where everyone else is lagging. Still doesn't look choppy though so IDK. IMO they need a feature in the game to vote for a new host. Sometimes you start a game only to realize that the host's connection can't handle it and no one has above 4 bars on either team and it takes forever or waits until everyone is 1 bar for like 30 seconds before it chooses a new host. I played through a whole game like that. We won pretty easily but it wasn't fun at all.

I didn't know that is a lag switch. Looks like someone is just getting a better ping at most part for a second.

Well 4 bars on one console only means they are probably the host. I don't know if they are using a lag switch maybe their connection isn't good enough for hosting. It was the only part in the video that I could tell there was lag though.

Lag switching is always a weak argument though because you can never really know the circumstances of the lag.
 
It would appear they are just the host, probably the fact they're split screening(?) is causing the latency problems. Of what I have watched there was no noticeable choppyness from any players which would suggest there's no lag switch in play from my past experience with them. Back in the day on some games you could just pull your cord for a few seconds, run and kill, plug it in and it would all catch up and you'd teleport, but everything would mess up whilst it was out with running on the spot and it was very noticeable to all who could see that player.

Lag switches have generally become a thing of the past though, I don't know many using them these days particularly because of the wireless explosion. The 15th prestige is statistically most likely hacked, but without seeing the player card we can't even be sure of that.
 
The M60 is the ultimate camping gun. Take this badboy to Nuketown, and it just commits ultimate rape. Did a better job than the Death Machine I got in the same game. I think I had somewhere over 30 kills after that game.
 
The M60 is pretty beast for sure and it's the only LMG which feels proper to me, meaty, loud, huge clip, big power, what more would you want? Not to say the others are bad, but I find myself wondering why I would want to use the others over an assault rifle. I have the M60 on my Riot set up, M60 grip, extended mags, Flak Jacket Pro, Warlord Pro (for more nova gas, concussion or semtex goodness), Tactical Mask Pro. Not a set up I'd advise bar for capturing flags, but I have fun with it nonetheless.

I had a few more games myself tonight, trying to get my COD thumbs back, with general success though sub-par of my usual performances. Is it just me or have the noob tubes started to surface more now? Not to the point that it becomes a problem in most games but the odd lobby is just woeful particularly on Ground War.
 
The M60 is way overpowered but I think I still prefer the stoner.
 
On the lag switch issue, I really don't see it being something that helps people do any better. I had never used one so about a month ago I made one just to see what effects it has when you use it. So, I made one and got in a lobby and tried it out a few games, if anything it made it harder for me to win gun fights. I would watch the kill cams to see what happens on the other persons end and it would just be me freezing there when I switch and then when I switch the data stream back on and I instantly die because of course they had pumped me full of bullets when I was frozen. I could move around on my end and shoot them and all but they would always kill me. So, I don't see it helping at all, or maybe I'm just not a good cheater?

And before anyone says anything, no I don't use the lag switch, I only made it and used it a few matches to see exactly what the effect is and to help me spot people using it.

I don't know what he was trying to do, maybe kill himself to not end up in the killcam? I was trying to wall him with hardened but have crap aim, I only hit him once and then got the assisted suicide I guess.

I was the host a good bit and used the switch and still got the same results, I went about using the switch like a science project to make sure I understood what was going on and to be able to spot when people were using it. It gained me nothing but death while I was frozen on their screen.

I had a feeling that it would not help. Lag sucks but no one is benefiting from it.

Well I couldn't sleep last night so I have been up all night and morning, kept checking to see when the MP would be available and it finally was at about 4am. Clicked on it and went to download it and came up with this on the screen.

1200 MS Points is 15.00 dollars, my math isn't well enough to figure this out even with a calculator, I think Activision is just going overboard with the DLC prices now:eek:

I checked all morning for it and I can't find it on Live anywhere. They even took out "Call of Duty: Black Ops" from the Add-on menu.

I was able to download it through the game menu in BO's. It now just says pending, so I'm waiting for it to download now. I'm sure the servers are getting hit hard which is why the problems.

Resurgence and Stimulus experience. I hope that they have learned from IW.
 
It's fine now, I just played on two of the maps in combat training. Had to stop because it was time to get my kids up and get them ready for school, going to jump into multiplayer on them when I get back from taking my wife to work in a bit.

And although everyone complains about campers, based on the top 3 perks it sure looks like running and gunning is actually most prevalent.

Saw some statuses on my FB talking about the map pack. I guess I should boot the game up and see if they made it more playable recently, or is the spawn system still all lol?

So I'm watching the machinima live stream and apparently you can make some crazy custom games. Has anyone tried this? We should get together one night in a private game and make up some crazy stuff.
 
I was thinking about buying the maps but I heard the maps downloaded instantly. Which indicates the maps are already on the disk. Please tell me this is not correct or I will never ever buy another DLC from Treyarch ever again.
I also heard it doesnt have its own playlist for the DLC maps, so if they are not voted for, you cant play them.

Thats always been the case with mappacks, almost all the CoDs have made you pay for what is hidden on the disc.

And as always, the playlist for the maps will come in the next playlist update I am sure. However I dont think you are a CoD regular so I dont blame you for asking the questions :).
